An Easy Battle

When morning arrived, the first thing Aldrin and Irina heard was none other than the loud cries of the Frailbeaks as well as the sounds of guns, blasters and cannons being shot to the sky. The area they were in was also shaking a little.

Having no time to comment on how the girl squeezed next to him once more, Aldrin and Irina both looked at each other and sprang out of their tent at the same time, prepared to move out and check the commotion.

They heard about it. That once in a while, the avian rift monsters that they drove away would return and lay down a siege in hopes to return to their original nest.

And most likely that was what's currently happening.

However, when they left their area, an Energy Refiner soldier clad in Battlesuit shouted at them. "Don't leave your areas carelessly! The stairs are dangerous! Let us deal with this."

He then fires the long-barreled blaster he's wielding, obliterating the incoming Frailbeak.
