6 This is quite the large house

In the arms of Romeo, Lily kept turning her head around, she looked up at the ceiling which had beautiful designs to them with the colors of blue emerald, and gold popping out at you, while there were many more colors used, those three seem to be the ones mainly used. The designs seem to follow along the hall and corridors with lines and unique patterns.

Lily could stare at it all day but ultimately stopped staring at the ceiling. 'My poor neck, staring up to much left it aching'.

Lily grimaces in pain, grumbles in how inconvenient it is to be a weak baby, she wasn't even able to stare longer than a minute.

"Is there an issue, dear princess, you seem to be in a mood?". Romeo glanced at the princess in his arms and felt a tug upward in the corner of his lip, he heard her, but can only hear the gurgling and baby noices that normal babies do and not the real words Lily wants to say.

"Nah"

Romeo almost faltered a step but it was for a moment as if it never happened. 'The princess... Is it really just coincidence that the noise she makes sound like she is answering me?'. Normally a child is still trying to comprehend their surroundings and only laugh or cry the most in her age, so Romeo never heard a case of a child understanding people at her age, unless its, shower, food, or a diaper change, since those are the words an infant would hear more and already can understand what it is by the routine that takes after those words are said. Yet he does not believe she would understand the question he asked her, since there are many ways to ask if you are unhappy, ' I dont believe anyone just repeated this sentence to her that she can actually know what it means...' Romeo lightly shakes his head and tries to not look to deep on it, it most likely is just the princess coincidently letting out that noise after he asked, that is all.

Lily took notice of Romeo's dilemma and laughed a bit inside 'hehehe, this is one of the advantages of being an infant, no one ever truly thinks you can comprehend so much with such a small mind, I can do what I want only for it being blamed with me being a baby' a snickering Lily appeared in her head, while the outside was just a fluff of giggles and baby gurgling cutely.

Romeo, not knowing what the princess is thinking, just sees a beautiful fairy like child happily laughing, the noise sounding of small bells that can be hear in the heavens. He smiles down at her and gives off a more relaxed and light atmosphere, something that people rarely or never seen in him.

While walking along the corridors and halls, Lily stares at the walls, all painted with a light emerald color, not to striking nor to bland, a few white lines are designed on it, but if you look closer, each line actually have small figures that make you wonder how long each line took to finish or how it was designed.

Lily leans on Romeo and rest her head on his chest, feeling much comfortable, she looks at the wall, she decided to just look at one side since they are the same in the other side.

A few feet away from the ground, there were crystals around three of four inches in height, each one 2 ft apart from each other. It has a light emitting from it, but not a strong one, maybe from the windows that let sunlight in, the lights from those Crystal's are dim and small.

'hoh~ do they have electricity here? but those lightbulbs look like their embedded to the wall, so I wonder how they change it?', little question marks appear in her mind, yet knowing her, she got distracted by something else and forgot about it.

Now and then, people dressed as maids and stewards can be seen hurrying to one area and another, when they take notice of Romeo, they quickly do a short bow and hurry to whatever they are finishing. Romeo just does a light nod when he notices them. Those people haven't noticed Lily in Romeo's arms and didn't give a second glance since they had work to do, but the more they walk around, Lily starts to think that this is a really big house, '... a house for royalty'.

Remembering that shes a princess, Lily can only sigh. Taking another look around, she gave up on memorizing the way to her room, there was just too many hallways and corridors that looked exactly the same here, the windows and room doors as well, but she notices that there are few glass doors that lead to balconies, the curtains a deep sea green, with blue and gold stitches crafting beautiful patterns on them. There were more and more sightings of people, it would seem that she may be heading to the main area of the castle since there is more life bustling around.

And the more people there are, the more highly for someone to notice Lily in Romeo's arms. The few servants that noticed stopped in their track and their eyes wided, their mouths open and close in an exaggerated manner. 'what, can't breath or something? you guys look like fishes that were pulled out of water or something'.

Lily just stared back at those who noticed her, and little by little, more have taken notice.

"You big buffoon! don't just stand there, your blocking the way!".

"S-Sir Romeo is..is..."

"Is what!?" annoyed, the man asks.

"...Holding a child... and most likely is the princess we're getting everything ready for...".

"What!!?" The man turns to look as well and indeed, he sees a baby in Romeo's embrace, likely to be five or six months old, he too ended up with the same expressions as the first man. This type of conversation can be heard from other servants as well, each one whith a dazed or shocked expression.

Romeo noticing that people stopped moving around. Stopped himself as well, he looked at each person " I see that all of you have free time to stand around, should I cut your wage a bit since you all seem to like idling around?".

A chill reached them all "N-No Sir! we'll go on our way!".

That was the only thing needed to be said for all of them to disperse and continue working. Seeing them leave Romeo sighed at the situation and knew that word of the princess is around in his arms will spread quickly around, he lightly shakes his head and decided to first head to his highness, the kings hall, where he has an audience with his minister and top generals for today's celebration. While thinking so, he communicates with his son telepathically about seeing him in a much later time.

'Understood Sir, I'll be waiting here till you speak with his majesty'.

'Good, I'll make sure not to take too long, just make sure nothing happens there till I get there'. That was the last thing Romeo said. While he was communicating with his son, Lily was looking at the main area and notices the long stairs down and up 'hmmm... seems that I live in the second floor, and from where Romeo is heading, we'll be going to the third floor, directly to that huge door'.

Thinking that, Romeo was already half way the stairs to the third floor, and each step he took, the huge door showed more of its majestic appearance. A twelve foot door, a snow white paint with detailed carvings, and with a few jewel embed on it that gives it more of a otherworldly look. There were a guard in each side of the door, who weren't overly dressed, they aren't wearing excessive armor that would become a hassle for movement, but each vital area was guarded well, they looked like statues that do not move unless commanded to.

They both sensed Romeo already from the second floor, they would have even noticed if he was in the first floor since both are highly skilled in magic and the sword, that's how they became royal guards. They as well noticed the presence of a second one, but only heard Romeo's footsteps, they were puzzled, but did not show it, however their eyes have widen when they were able to see Romeo. He was holding the princess knowing even without having met her. Everyone knew of the six month princess. Another way they have know it was the princes was because of her hair, the same shade as the queens, the hair glittering by each moment the light hits it, her eyes which the maids who care for her describe it different from her siblings and parents, it had a mix of both actually, of her mother's color as well as her father's, giving her an inhuman appearance, causing one to question it she was a mortal child or not, what sents chills to their back is how clear she looks at them, there was no confusion or wariness of a normal child would have when they would first glance at the knights. It's as if... the princess was looking directly at their souls, when that first thought appeared, goosebumps rose in their skin. They haven't felt this way in a while, the last time was against their cold instructors or when they had to go for the annual hunt for beasts in the Burning Sun Empire.

Before they can think anything more, the princess smiled and giggled, surprising the guards again, they unknowingly sighed in relief, but quickly stood straighter and waited for what Romeo needed.

"Hello Heth and Jackson, I wish to meet the majesty for a moment, can one of you inform him for me, to see if it's a right time to?".

"Of course, I'll go and inform him", Heth was the one in the left side of the doors, he quickly opened the door and closed it behind him, ' Damn he's strong if he can open that door, it looks like it wouldn't budge even if 10 people were pushing on it'. While being distracted by her thoughts Romeo and Jackson started to converse a bit.

"I'm sorry to ask, but this is Princess Lily, is it not?"

"Yes, I had no choice but to bring her along with me, for some reason she seems to have taken a bit of a liking to me". Romeo sighed while thinking of the little princess's crying attack.

"... I see, I can understand why the King and Queen worried for her... ah! I ment no disrespect, it's that... she doesn't react like a normal child would when they see us knights..". Remembering how the first children of his majesty reacted when they first met the knights, they either cried or looked at them with great vigilance, even other children would too, since the knights give off an aura of warning at all time to stop any from thinking of causing any type of mayhem in their presence.

"No, do not worry, I understand what you mean, this is specifically why I have decided to meet his majesty, and from seeing her first encounter with you two, I believe there just became more to tell his highness", Romeo glances at the child in his arm and understood Jacksons thoughts as well, the only reason the princes and princesses have stopped showing any wariness to the guards and knights is because they got used to them from every day interaction, yet this is the princess first time looking at them directly, since the knights are only outside her room.

While both were thinking that, the very princess they are worrying about had a simple reason why she didn't fear them. She did get scared for a split second when she first saw them, but then was fine with the knights because she knew that they are there to protect her family and home, so all that worry she first had dispersed into thin air, and the reason they felt that she seemed to be looking at their soul was because she was staring at their faces 'Both are a 10/10... The left is definitely my type since he seems he has the face of someone you would want to tease and mess with, while the right one has a cool beauty type rather than a cool handsome look, I got not problem with that either since it would be even better when he gets flustered', but after that she started to look at the door again and was thinking about how much each jewel in the door cost, and what type of wood the door is made of, she was the type who is just so easily distracted and tends to just zone out from her surroundings, so she hasn't heard a thing of those two conversation. Lily started to pay attention to her surrounding again when she noticed Heth reappearing again from behind the door.

"His majesty said that it is fine to enter, the meeting was already at its end".

Romeo nods a thanks and bids them farewell till he sees them again, they both nod a good bye as well and do a light bow to Lily. She waves goodbye to them and took a longer look to Heth till the doors fully closed. Heth noticed the look and had cold sweat run through his back, when the door fully closed he was finally able to breath in peace, he didn't understand the princess stare, but he felt like a pray in a predators gaze.
