Chapter II

My Guardian looked shocked. Not just him, but so was I. I couldn't put my figure on it. "It's me, dude!" He said, with enthusiasm in his voice. I raised an eyebrow. "It's me, Ethan!" He smiled, jumping into the air.

"Ethan..?" I questioned, raising an eyebrow. "Since when were you back in town?" Ethan gave a warm welcoming smile, "Since I found out about your Birthday coming up!" he gave me a hug, squeezing tightly. "I know this sounds childish, but please don't leave me alone…" His face slowly went from a smile to a bit of a frown. "Darius, trust me. I won't." His face went back into that warm welcoming smile, as we arrived at his house. "We won't be able to stay at your house, just in case if something around there is something causing all of this to happen." he declared, getting out of his car.

We entered his house, as he made sure that I got in before him, and safe. "It's not everyday I get to stay somewhere like this…" I exclaimed in awe. Ethan lived in a beautiful cabin, which was fairly modernized. The entrance was beautiful, from the large mirror and small table on the wall away from the front door, to the large chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. He had these beautiful red leather couches, as well as some of those red leather chairs. A glass coffee table was placed right in front of the Red leather couch, on a small grey carpet that had been spread around the wooden floor. I took off my shoes, then immediately went for the couch.

I jumped into the air, diving onto the large leather couch.

"Timber!" I yelled.

"Da-" Ethan let out a sigh, "You aren't supposed to do anything physical!"

"Well, I'm fine. Am I not?" I claimed sarcastically.

Ethan made his way through the cabin. I gained curiosity about the house and its layout, as I stood from the sofa and began to follow him through the cabin. We arrived in a large, and fairly modernized kitchen, primarily in shades of grey.

The cabinets and counters were a light shade of silkwort with black marble counter tops. The oven was a pale white, along with the pale white fridge. This was the coolest fridge I've even seen if I do say so myself. It was a double door fridge with a freezer along the bottom, as well as it had a screen on the right hand side that allowed you to look inside.

"Are you hungry?" Ethan questioned, "you must be after all the hospital food."

"Actually, I am." I responded.

I made my way over to the fridge, as I opened the right door in curiosity. You could see right through the little clear panel, even from the inside. Other than that, he didn't have anything he could use to cook with in his fridge.

"Where's all the eggs?" I asked.

"Oh, you want me to cook?" he let out a slight chuckle. "I have no experience with cooking. I usually eat pre made… That is, after Patty left me.."

"Wait, when?" I questioned, "you two were so good together.."

"Yeah, well nothing lasts forever, I guess." Ethan sighed, thencontinued, "Any who, what do you want to order?"

"Pizza?" I suggested.

"Sounds good." he responded, picking up his phone and dialing the number to PutPizza.
