9 Chapter 9

Today Doxin and I are leaving Muer after the one night stay heading for Takon City.

I've collected reasonable data on Muer town and even learned what 'masturbation' is from Doxin, if I wasn't a sane person I could get addicted to the sensation.

"Doxin, is Takon like Muer?" Currently, we were back on our carriage and traversing the roads.

"Well, it's much better than Muer and the bird people their arent that unfriendly, in fact, they're usually considered a very friendly species."

"Is that so..." I narrowed my eyes in thought, I somehow didn't believe him.

"Doxin"

Doxin sighed for the fifth time of me calling his name, I wonder if I'm annoying him? I grinned a bit secretly happy for some reason. Am I sadistic?

"There are people following us," I chimed petting one of the oxen lazily.

"Eh!?" Doxin started coughing loudly while looking at me with a twisted smile, "Say that again sweetheart?"

"There are people following us?" I tilted my head in question, did he not hear clearly? That can't be the case he's got strong hearing. Is he sick?

Doxin narrowed his eyes as he slowed the carriage making the atmosphere quiet. The sky was grey with heavy rain today, It'll probably rain in a few minutes.

"Let's take a break," Doxin suggested as he slowed the carriage towards a lone tree in the plane of grass. I nodded as I jumped down stretching my limbs and getting some jams and bread for lunch. "Do you want some Doxin?" I asked getting my hair petted by him.

"Make me some, I'm going on a pee break real quick"

"Okay, it might rain so hurry if you get sick, you could die" I bluntly said earning a laugh from Doxin, I honestly don't understand how that's funny...

After Doxin left I sat on a big root from the tree and began spreading the strawberry jelly on two pieces of bread I cut into squares. Doxin isn't a fan of strawberry's so I used some orange jelly for his two slices. When I was done I put his aside for when he comes back and munched on my lunch. It's so good.

I hugged my legs to my chest savoring the taste, taste is one of the best things I've ever gained my eyes glowed with joy. Reminiscing of my time I became conscious really brought me into the light of how much I've grown just from turning human for a few months.

I feel like I'm here now and not this world bystander or spectator.

I felt the snow, it was cold yet refreshing. I felt the beam of the sun's warm rays. I felt the comfort of love and even made a friend. And now...I feel the drips of spring rain.

The tree blocked most of the small sprinkles of water, the air smelled like rain and I could hear the croaks of frogs and insects all coming out to play. I stretched a hand out from under the tree and watched as the raindrop pitter pattered on my hand filling with water, stretching it back I took a sip, it was lukewarm and tasted good.

Somethings missing though, I look around feeling my small world become quiet and cold, wheres Doxin? Pee breaks don't take that long, I licked the rest of the strawberry jam off my fingers and stood up, remembering that people were following us earlier I wonder if they're annoying Doxin. I'm the only one allowed to annoy him.

Feeling agitated I looked out into the vast field of grass, but the rains blocked my vision from seeing far, my brows furrowed as I walked around the tree at different angles seeing as to where he could be.

"*Sigh* It's useless," I mumble not wanting to go out and get wet but worried as to where he might be. Suddenly I see something in the distress, looking closely I see the familiar cat ears atop the dark image's head.

As the figure got closer I spotted red on his clothing, is he bleeding? My heart started beating faster for some reason, what's this feeling? I couldn't help feeling this odd fear and running out into the rain towards him, my data has no recollection or control of why I did so.

He waved at me with a smile and my fear slowly slowed down but not enough to make me stop and patting his clothes down and inspecting his skin.

"I'm okay don't worry, this isn't my blood," Doxin chuckled stopping my hands, "I want worried about you." my brows drew together as my mind finally felt at peace.

"Really? You weren't worried?" He said with a surprised sarcastic tone, I couldn't have been worried for him, could I? My cheeks burned again as I looked away stomping off to the carriage.

"So who did you kill?" I questioned giving him the two pieces of orange jellied bread while he changed clothes. "The people who were following us."

"Oh, who were they?

"the ones that tried scamming you of our carriage"

"You saw that!? I blushed again, why can't I stop urgh!?

He chuckled before biting into his lunch his tail swaying happily.

We made it to Takon safely after, the rain had stopped after a few days of travel leaving a damp air that I found I really liked. I was definitely ready to sleep in a bed rather than use Doxin as a bed, he wasn't as comfortable.

After staying for a night in Takon City I and Doxin went to our final destination for a while and that was Imporal kingdom and visit the capital Polten.

A feeling of excitement bubbled up at the thought of getting to see a fellow immortal weapon, well hopefully I get permission to at least.
