10 Chapter 10

Eirwen looked mesmerized at the very festive kingdom. Many bright colors stood out from what he's ever seen before and it became increasingly obvious he was new to the kingdom, gawking at a huge statue and tall buildings. It was a lot to process and his data was craving to know everything about this place like an itch.

It was very loud much more compared to any village or town, he wondered how so many people could sleep at night and had a bad feeling he wouldn't be able to sleep. Eirwen likes sleeping.

"We'll be at his house in two hours if we don't stop anywhere," Doxin yawned leaning on Eirwen.

"What's their name?" He asked curiously, it seemed Doxin kept withholding information the whole way.

"Uh, it was something like solo or somlon no... it's kinda hard to remember," Doxin scratched his cheek his face a little red. Eirwen didn't understand how someone could forget the name of a friend, how long were they apart that he can't even remember? Giving him a weird look he took a peach out of a fruit bag. Eirwen hadn't had this fruit yet and when he bit into it he immediately knew one thing.

Peaches were gross.

If he said they were gross then he meant it as he spat out the gross bits that hung in his mouth. Eirwen found it confusing since he liked everything, besides spicy foods, maybe peaches are bad energy or something. Drinking big gulps of water to get rid of the taste all the while he spotted Doxin watching him amusingly in the corner of his eye. He shouldn't be laughing at him! He can't even remember a friend's name, Eirwen's the one who should be laughing!

Eirwen sighed before calming down and continuing to be sucked into the fascination of the architecture, culture, and people. Two hours later and they weren't in the loud place anymore and were traveling in forest terrain, Eirwen didn't know how it got to this point but when they went inside a stone statue said 'this was a resident's to an immortal and to not enter unless authorized.' From this information, he knows that they're visiting an immortal, someone who practices the ways of enlightenment and has already achieved greatness. They are unlike magic users and when becoming immortal is a long brutalizing process and in the end, you get to fly simply by will. And of course, you become immortal depending on what stage your on.

Eirwen had long sensed great powers in the walls of the kingdom and the most powerful of all was the one Doxin was taking him to. He kind of felt a sense of suppression from being in its vicinity and human fear would leak out of his emotions and make him become alert. When Eirwen looked at Doxin he showed no sign of fear and was very casual, with no tense muscles and perfectly normal. Eirwen found that strange but didn't elaborate.

"How much further?"

"Hm about five minutes ahead, you can see his estate in a bit"

Eirwen nodded and eventually saw a very beautiful estate, flowers decorated it and plants grew all around. It was somewhat enchanting. It felt peaceful and serene which was weird considering the heavy power lying inside. Eirwen looked to Doxin once again and saw no reaction so he followed him off the wagon and cautiously took each step forward.

Doxin knocked on the door which earned no reaction making Doxin lose his cool and bang on the door harshly.

"OPEN UP DAMMIT I KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE"

The door then swung open with the ferocity of a bull as Eirwen waited behind them innocently.

"STOP DOING THAT DRUMSTICK!" A voice unrecognizable yelled.

"THIS IS YOUR FALT FOR NOT VISITING ME LOOK YOU'RE MAKING ME CRY *SNIFF*"

"SHUT UP CAT BREATH YOUR SO DRAMATIC THIS IS WHY NO ONE EVER VISITS YOU"

"AWHH YOU'RE HURTING MY HEART FOUR EYES"

"HOW CAN ANYONE EVEN TAKE YOU SERIOUSLY I SWEAR *SIGH*

"IT GOT ME A LOVER SO WHO CARES"

"What!? You!? A L-lovEr?!??" The voice cracked after the exchange of many insults the other seemed to have his dignity break a little as he faltered in his stance.

Eirwen peeked out of the back of Doxin and met with dark brown eyes and long black hair, he was a little taller than Doixin but was very handsome and pretty. Eirwen found he liked the peaceful air to him, but personality-wise... it's at least much better than Doxin. Plus first impressions don't always determine a person as a whole.

"Good evening I'm Eirwen," he bowed a little before waiting for the other to introduce themselves. The male seemed dumbstruck for a long time but luckily Doxin held his shoulder tightly to get him back to reality.

"Don't touch me, imbecile," He whispered with venom before taking Doxins grip off his shoulder.

"Good evening I am Solomon please call me Sol, are you by chance taking another lover in? Or maybe in the market for a new one?" His voice shimmered in honey laced flirtatious speech as he ushered Eriwen in leaving Doxin to catch up behind irritably.

"I can have two lovers?" Eirwen asked a little confused as tea somehow ended up in his hands and he was sat on a couch. "Of course sweetheart, *gasp* you must have been tricked by that cat brute you poor innocent soul." Sol handed a bowl of candy as if to comfort him in a traumatic situation.

Eirwen was so confused by this person but found him funny and laughed, this guy is so weird.

"Stop it he's mine! U-unless he says so..."

"Wow who knew you could be such a simp for cuties," Sol chuckled before fixing his robe and straightening up.

"That's not it!" Doxin growled and scooted in between Sol and Eirwen. Eirwen watched Sol's expression but only found amusement swimming in his eyes, even when they were yelling insults Eirwen found Sol enjoyed annoying Doxin much more than he let on.

Sol was probably a very lonely person.

"So what brings you here Doxin? Just showing off your lover? By the way, I would like to speak to you in private about some matters," Sol sipped his tea and casually spoke like a breeze of wind. He was very in tune with nature and Eirwen felt it, he knew that this person was very capable and both Doxin and Sol had wavelengths similar in a way that Eirwen couldn't describe. Doxin cleared his throat before shaking his head, tail snaking around Eirwens waist.

"Sure but um Eirwen wants to...see the immortal weapons..."

The atmosphere became very quiet and Eirwen felt it was shrouded in tension. Nevertheless, he ate the sweets that were given to him and didn't quite know what to do in situations such as these. When the tension proved to be fatal a subtle sigh left Sol's lips and a clink of his tea was sat down.

"Doxin let's speak privately now." It was soft yet firm and soon Doxin and Sol left the small open living room. Eirwen didn't mind and continued eating and watched the scenery outside. Some birds were playing in a small pond with bamboo sprouting at its end. If Eirwen killed a bird he'd be able to fly.

"What a morbid thought mister"

Eirwen was startled when he turned towards the voice in front of him only to find a little boy with a head full of lush green hair. When he saw that Eirwen noticed him he smiled as bright as the sun as his blue eyes glittered. For some reason, an emotion Eirwen never knew he had surfaced and he desperately wanted to coddle the boy.

"Can you hear my thoughts?" Eirwen tried suppressing the need as he thirsted for an answer to which the boy smiled impossible larger.

"No, but I felt it, and that's all I needed to know." The small boy climbed onto the couch and propped himself in Eirwens arms hugging him and rubbing his head on Eirwens chest.

Eirwen felt his heart swell and held the boy as he did so.

"What's your name?" Eirwen asked

"Shrub, Solomon made me from him. I have a strong connection to you, your the only person that feels like my master other than Solomon...don't tell him but I think I like you the best so far." He giggled as he shoved his face onto Eirwens neck and squirmed around.

"What's your name?" Shrub asked.

"Eirwen..." he breathed feeling what he could only describe as a delighted parent to their child. Eirwen was surprised by his own thinking and his data couldn't come up with an answer, just someway somehow he thought of this child to be his own kin and he wouldn't want it any other way.

-

"You did what!?" Doxins' voice turned up a notch as he processed Sol's words. "You know it's dangerous separating your cores, the consequences could be life-damaging!" he growled looking at Sol as if he was insane.

"His name is Shrub and he's my assistant. Don't worry Doxin my cultivation is at its highest peak no longer being able to go any further, making him was like eating grass beans, it wouldn't affect me in any way. For you though, hmph that's another story." Sol flapped a fan in his face as if swatting Doxins words out the window and the room became still.

"Even if it doesn't affect you the one you made wouldn't be normal. You know they only listen to their creator and follow them until death no matter what you do to them. They would never talk unless you allow them to and it's basically like making a slave, it's disgusting." Doxin spat circling the room in disappointment at Solomons's behavior, "and I thought you were the smart one," he commented snarly.

That set a nerve to pop out of Sol's dimple. "He's just an assistant I'd never hurt Shrub no matter the situation! Stop making it sound bad, look if you won't accept it then you cant be his uncle"

Doxin paused his movements as he thoughts about the last sentence with perked ears, "you mean I can be their uncle?"

"Of course," Sol smiled and flapped the fan in victory. With Doxin agreeing to be the uncle they no longer fought over earlier events.

"So Doxin"

Confused he looked to Sol only to see his face very serious and firm as he glided towards the Neko. Doxin felt a sense of urgency in the air as got ready to attack. "You know the number one rule don't you Dox? How much does he know? Who is he?" Sol spoke lightly in demand. Doxin suddenly understood where he was coming from and shrugged.

"He said he came from the village Rushtome and we met because he was looking for a job. He is a little weird...he read my whole collection of books in my library in a week, doesn't know common sense, very fast learner, and I suspect he's not as human as he says. When we got together I didn't know his goal was to look for the immortal weapons but when I did he told me he knew there were 8 left and all he wants to do is look and nothing else. He's innocent so if your hands even hurt a hair on his head I'll kill you." The threat was clear and Sol only glared at Doxin's remark.

"I sense an ancient aura around his body, his touch also feels incredibly warm and comfortable, he has the scent of nature. All I can say is Eirwen is like an angel, so if he wants to see the weapons then I have a proposal for him..."

Doxin nodded with narrowed eyes before breaking the barrier spell and sliding the door open.

Suprised breaths left the two as they witnessed a ball of green hair and white fluff hair cuddled up together fast asleep on the couch. Dioxins brows furrowed and turned towards Sol only to see a trail of blood running down his nose. Doxin became flushed as he hit Sol on the back of the head very loudly.

"YOUR SUCH A PERVERT"

"STOP YOUR RUINING THE MOMENT"

"PERVERT HES MINE"

"WELL THE SPROUT IS MINE AND SINCE HE LIKES EIRWEN, EIRWEN IS NOW MINE TOO"

"THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS OLD DUST"

"I COULD SAY THE SAME TO YOU"
