CHAPTER ONE- DIVORCE

"Sign it"

A deep voice sounded from above Daisy's head. Then the divorce agreement was tossed on the island of the kitchen. Daisy was stunned. She turned to look at Dominic with a sly smirk on her face.

So this was it.

No wonder he called to inform her in the morning that he will be coming home to discuss something with her.

The one – year marriage was coming to an end. Daisy silently took the divorce agreement and went through it and then looked at Dominic.

"Sign it. She's back and I don't want her to misunderstand me" His voice was firm. Daisy knew who he was talking about, so without a second thought, she took the pen from his hands and signed the agreement. "Don't worry; I'll transfer the Maple Villa and the cars to you. The process is ongoing." Dominic said. "Tell your lawyers to stop. I don't need them" Daisy spoke for the first time. She took out her phone and called her brother. "Aisy, is that you!" Easton said surprised. "Yes! It's me" Daisy replied. Throughout their conversation, Dominic listened. After she ended, she stopped cooking the food she was preparing and started walking out. "I never knew you had a brother" Dominic said. "You never cared to ask" She said and walked out. Dominic felt restless in his heart when he heard what she said.

Dominic walked out of the kitchen. Lora Bradford, his mother, who was in the living room, nervously went up to him.

"How was it? Is she willing to sign it" Dominic was quiet for a while and then nodded. Lora sighed and said happily "It's good that she sign it. When you marry Adeline, I will be completely at ease. Only a woman like Adeline is worthy of you. What could such a person like Daisy who only has a high school diploma do?".

Cynthia Bradford, who was at the side nodded happily and said "That's right. If Adeline becomes my sister – in – in law, there will certainly be many envious of me in the future". "Hope she didn't ask for anything" Lora asked Dominic and he nodded.
