9 - Frightened

Paige suddenly crashed into him while carrying the large container, he got knocked out and the big jar fell down the stairs which in turn he got a sprained ankle. A huge loud noise spread throughout Asami's house and everyone was in a commotion. Due to the shock, Paige was suddenly scared that she did not expect to bump or break the vase that Ichinose's carrying. He looked at Paige and he saw her reaction…...

"Paige. Paige…" He's trying to call her but seeing her pale and petrified face.He instantly got worried from the thought that master Asami might have scolded her because of what happened but they didn't mean to break it and it was an accident.

Asami suddenly heard a loud noise and one of his maids screamed. He came out of the living room and quickly walked to the foot of the stairs to find out what happened as the loud noises as well as what was broken. The first thing he saw was Ichinose clinging on the stairs trying to get up and Paige was crying. He asked one of the maids who was looking up at the two.

"What happened and what was broken?" The annoyance on Asami's face showed up because he did not like what he saw.

"Paige bumped into Ichinose who was carrying the large vase as they climbed both the stairway and he got knocked down. Ichinose suddenly dropped the large vase from up there but he grabbed the railing as soon as he got out of balance." Amelia replied to Asami.

"And I think Ichinose sprained his leg, that is why he could not stand up properly and just clung to the handle. When I heard Maya's scream from the kitchen I rushed in to see why she's screaming. And that is how I saw the accident." Amelia added.

When Asami heard that, he immediately approached Ichinose and supported him while looking at Paige and said ...

"Why don't you be careful when climbing the stairs, you know that it is dangerous not to look while going up." Asami's face was annoyed as he spoke to her.

"That's enough crying and clean up the spilled water and that the broken vase." Asami looked at the broken jar and suddenly his facial expression changed.

"That is my mother's favorite vase, and it's even older than her if she is still alive today." Asami added and he could not hide the anger in his voice.

It was as if Ichinose had poured freezing water on him when he heard that the vase was antique and he just broke it. He suddenly quivered in terror and didn't know what to say or do. In fear, Ichinose saw Paige's face and he suddenly said ...

"It was my fault because the size of the vase I didn't see Paige coming and I did not look at the stairs while walking." in Ichinose's trembling voice as he forced himself to say the word even though his foot was very painful and he was trying to save Paige because it was an accident.

And the maids quickly helped Paige and cleaned up the spilled water and broken vase. Asami ignored what he heard from him instead he helped Ichinose stand up but he wince instantly Asami knew it was not only a sprained ankle.

"Ouch! Ugh…" Ichinose groaned from the pain and was unable to move even 2 centimeters because it's very painful.

"Master Asami, how about these flowers and it's a pity if they were thrown away as well?" Aisha asked her master what to do on those flowers.

"Don't throw it away and it's for my Mother. Find a vase and put it in her room please." Asami replied to Aisha.

She nodded and bowed to him and immediately she ordered Maya and Mia to help clean up.

"I don't think you can move so I'll just help you to your room and let's get some first aid." Asami said to him with a serious face.

"Uh-mm…" that is the only words he can say to his master as he was really frightened of what will happen to him and Paige since the jar was valuable.

Asami saw Ichinose's face that was scared of him, so he smiled at him to let him know that he had nothing to worry about. He wanted to hug him tightly by seeing his wimpy as he forced himself to stand up. But he stops himself not to and he felt sorry because he was crippled by Paige.

So he put Ichinose's arm onto his shoulder to take him to his room, Asami could not hide his infuriated face because that was the favorite vase of his late mother and the value cannot be measured no matter how much it was. Asami did not know who would get mad so he let out a big sigh just to let go of his frustration as he carried Ichinose in his arms.

They reached Ichinose's room and Asami slowly laid him on the bed. "Don't move and I'll be back. I'll get an ice pack and a first aid kit." Asami said to him with an angry face.

He only nodded to say he understood, he could not speak because of the accident and he broke the only memory Asami had of his deceased mother. He felt even worse than the cold corpse because of the horrifying revelation and he suddenly put his two hands on his chest and said....

"Please Lord, I will do everything just don't make master Asami angry with me. I'll do everything and anything so please Lord help me." as he tearfully prayed and hoped that would not happen. He was totally terrified inside out to know more about the antique vase and so Ichinose prayed and hoped it would not go to any worst situation.

As Ichinose prayed, Asami discovered it when he came to the door of Ichinose. He does not know if he will smile with what he learned or if he will just ignore it at first. Asami's self-doubt it's simply better to hide what he heard then will think that carefully later after he finished taking care of Ichinose.

He cleared his voice before entering Ichinose's room pretending he had just arrived. And Ichinose was surprised because he was still praying, and he removed his hands from his chest immediately. Like it was nothing but he feel ashamed that his master saw him praying.

"Cough (clearing his throat)... cough." Asami pretends there is something in his throat and he coughs a couple times. He bent his head to put a bondage on the sprain ankle and put an ice pack on it so that it would not swell much.

"Tomorrow morning we have to go and I will take you to the chiropractor to check if there is a big fracture in your foot." said Asami to him.

"Umm, yes.." he nodded again and was still scared to say or explain everything to him.

Asami looked at him at the same time, stared at him in the eye to know that he was serious about what he was saying and how he reacted to him.

Ichinose just nodded and could not speak because of the disconcertment he made. Because Asami is staring at him directly he felt ashamed from the embarrassment that made his face beet red and he could not hide so he just grabbed the pillow and said...

"Can I go to the doctor alone tomorrow and you can just drop me off?" while speaking with the pillow covering his face and he try to muffle his voice. Asami couldn't help but smile at the situation. He thinks Ichinose is cute even though there is a problem right now.

"Nope, I won't allow you. Choose if you go alone I will carry you in princess style from getting out of the car, to going inside the doctor's room or the two of us just going together to the doctor's room?" Asami answered him directly as he kept staring at him and smiled.

Ichinose did not expect to hear that from him so to his surprise he instantly removed the pillow on his face and looked at his master Asami to see if he was joking or serious. He saw his smiling face and was dead serious. With nothing he could say, he just nodded at it even if against his will.

"Glad to know that you agreed. If you need anything just give me a call or ask them to help you with something." Asami said to him and patted his head gently.

"We will talk tomorrow after the check up and I will arrange your work day as you can't even move your feet." Asami added and sat down next to him.

He got agitated as Asami sat down next to him and this situation is kinda hard to be mistaken for. "What is he doing?! Sitting next to me on my bed!! Are you serious!!??" He couldn't even look at his eyes and it looks like his head was on emergency alert.

"Is he trying to give me a signal or what?! You know I liked you and it's hard to keep my composure as if this was nothing!" said to himself and as much as he tried to make a poker face to Asami.

"Since you are unable to go to work, it is much better to stay here so that Paige can take care of you as well." Asami sighed deeply even though he wanted to take care of Ichinose but he could not. And he slowly stood up so as not to shake Ichinose's bed…

Ichinose nodded and felt a bit relieved that his master is about to leave his room and he can feel relaxed now even though his ankle was really painful.
