Ice Forest

After breakfast together, Harry lost his broom to be inspected by Professor McGonagall.

Nathaniel had some free time in his office.

When a snowy owl carrying a letter tapped on his window.

The letter was a request for help from a small magical village near the Himalayas that Nathaniel had visited on one of his trips.

A request concerning a beast that was out of control and attacking the village.

Nathaniel used the floo powder net to move to a place where there was a portal key to the village.

"A key," he told the clerk as he handed over a bag containing 20 galleons.

It was an expensive journey, but he had some acquaintances there and it was worth the price.

Using the small trophy that was the portal key, Nathaniel disappeared.

{Snowy Mountain Village}

"Chief it's getting dark again and the beast will attack again," a worried villager warned the village chief.

"We've already lost five people in two nights of attack," another villager reminded the chief.

"I understand and I've already asked a friend to help me deal with the situation," the village chief told everyone present

"We don't understand the reason for the attacks, the creature was just hunting wild animals," a woman at the tale commented.

"Really a mystery," said the village chief.

"Ahhhhhhh," a scream was heard outside.

The people in the hut were startled and came out to validate it.

On the village floor, a villager held his bleeding arm while pointing to a darker corner where two blue eyes peered into the darkness.

A white beast with a murderous gaze was out for blood.

In one great leap, it attacked again. But just as she was about to reach her prey.

A voice as cold as the falling snow was heard.

"Glacius," a spell was cast.

A barrier was erected between the beast and the injured person, preventing the attack.

Leaving the beast now unable to complete its hunt, it turned its gaze to where the voice had come from.

Standing there amidst the falling snow was a man with beautiful blue eyes like her own and hair as white as snow.

The man and the creature had many similar features.

The creature decided to abort its attack today and escaped back into the darkness.

Nathaniel heard a voice calling him and saw a villager walking towards him, an old friend from the past.

"How are you Tom," he asked his old friend.

"As you can see, we're all frightened by this beast's attacks," he replied, now glad to see his old mate.

The village had a few witches and half-breeds, but none of them had a formal education.

They knew basic spells for everyday survival, but nothing that could counter the Snow Beast.

Tom began to tell them about the attacks and that the beast had previously only hunted other beasts in the mountains, but that a few days ago a strange witch had paid a visit to the village.

And he suspected that this sorcerer might be responsible for the creature's attacks.

"I'll be on guard tonight," Nathaniel announced. "Tomorrow I'll investigate the frozen forest to get more details."

"All right my friend, thank you for your help," Tom thanked him

Tom was once a powerful wizard, but an unfortunate accident that damaged his hands took away much of his magical combat ability.

"If it were the old days I'd have the ability to revise, but as it is now I can only teach what little I know to young people," he said.

"That's a big part to play, my friend," Nathaniel replied.

After exchanging pleasantries, Nathaniel set off to assess the borders of the village, where he noticed many traces of the attacking creature leading into the frozen forest.

A place where ice dominated the trees and only a few types of creatures could survive.

The hours of the night passed slowly. While Nathaniel kept his senses alert and cast spells to secure the perimeter.

The sounds of beasts were heard, but none approached the village.

Just watching from afar and assessing.

So the night wore on and the few rays of sunlight breaking through the icy clouds heralded the start of morning.

"How was it, my friend?" asked Tom.

"Lots of beasts, but the one that attacked them yesterday hasn't shown any sign of life," Nathaniel told us about the night.

"I see," Tom realised. "Are you going to do your research today?" he asked.

"Yes, I'll leave after I've fed," Nathaniel informed him.

"Watch out for the strange witch, he didn't seem that simple," Tom warned his friend.

"I know, my friend, but even we aren't that simple either," Nathaniel said confidently.

"Ah! yes, but in my case that was in the past, now I'm just an old man trying to look after the village," Tom sighed and looked back on the past and compared it to now.

"Me, you, Camille and him were Grindelwald's best weapon," he said, remembering his old group.

"Yes, a perfect extermination group created for massacre," Nathaniel wasn't so proud of what he had done back then, but he lived with his choices.

"Have you heard any news about him?" Tom asked.

Nathaniel remembered the last member of his group. "Not since then, but even if it doesn't seem like it, he knows how to look after himself."

"I hope so," Tom sighed, remembering his other old friend

Nathaniel fed himself and set off on his adventure through the dense frozen forest.

{Frozen Forest}

The animal tracks were easily erased by the falling snow, making it difficult to trace the path.

He felt the presence of the creatures watching him from afar, but none took the initiative.

None of them were that Snow Leopard from the night before. Then, walking through the snow, Nathaniel noticed a strange cave in the distance.

It didn't seem to be something formed by nature, but rather created by some sorcerer.

Casting a few spells on himself so as not to alert whoever or whatever was in the cave, he continued. It was like a tomb raid, which he had done a few times in the pyramids of Egypt.

Slowly he approached the entrance to the cave and noticed several warning and security spells at the entrance.

His counter-spells were enough not to activate the cave creator's measures, so Nathaniel continued to explore.

Inside the cave he found a kind of dwelling hastily made by a sorcerer and in a cage at the back two small, snow-white creatures.

They were trapped and looked like chicks. Curious, he approached.

Just then Nathaniel heard something growling at the entrance to the cave.
