Chapter 1

Cold, is death supposed to be cold? I dont remember. My life, what happened?

These thought went through my head as I thought. I was a 27 year old weapons fanatic who practiced martial arts. If you asked what led to this, I would of told you Mortal Kombat.

That was the best video game series of all time in my opinion. My favorite charater was Sub Zero because of his powers and stories. He could make and fight with anything he can think of, and his mastery is on another level.

I didn't watch anime, but I did read manga, my favorite would be Demon Slayer and Beserk, and One Piece was good too. I just loved them since they are just human who had pushed themselves to the limit to achieve inhuman abilities to fight monsters that plague the world, and one piece had amazing world building and ideas.

I one time thought that if I was reincarnated, I would become the greatest sword master in history of that world, if only things were so.

"Looks like you'll get your wish." a bell like voice sounded.

I opened my eyes and looked around. I appeared to be in a white room with a female blue haired angel in a white and gold robe in front of me. I then noticed that I didn't have a body, just a white outline of one.

"Whats going on?" I asked. The angel laughed. "You have been given a chance to reincarnate due to how you lived your life and how you died. I am here because of these circumstances you have given 5 wishes of that will help you in your next life." she answered.

I stood in thought for a moment, this was a dream come true! I understood what she said about my life since I lived it honestly and honorably, helping people when I can, but what did she mean by my death.

Then I remembered. I saw a house on fire and heard someone screaming inside so I rushed in while people were calling the fire department. There was a little girl on the second story that I managed to save, but I wasn't so lucky. I made it out of the house with burns all over my body, but the little girl was fine.

I died two days later at the hospital happy that the girl was okay and safe.

"Thats what you mean." I said remembering. The angel nodded. "Yes, you get to be reincarnation from your selflessness to save that girl and were happy that she was okay, and your 5 wishes are from how you lived your life. You are a rare person indeed."

I thought about that, and what I would want. 5 wishes, that was alot. I could get so many things. "Do I chose the world I go to or not?" I asked. The angel smiled. "You do not get to chose unless you are willing to use a wish." she said looking at me with a critical eye.

I pondered over what she said before rembering my earlier thoughts. "I want to have ice powers for my first wish. For my second wish I would like Yoriichi talent from demon slayer. For my third wish, can I have Haki?"

She frowned at the third. "I cannot allow you to have all haki, but I will allow you to have one with some restrictions." she said. I could work with that.

"Then can I have Armament Haki with Hardening and Imbuement only?" I asked. She thought about it for a bit. "I can allow this."

I smiled, if I could and thought over my final final two. I was pretty set for my abilities and skills. With them I would become a warrior no one wants to mess with, especially with Haki and Ice power. Now what I would need was a powerful weapon and a way to reassure that I won't become physically weak or sickly.

"For my forth wish, I would like a black blade that is as great as the first of the twelve supreme grade blades. And may I design it to match my style?" I said.

She though for a moment. "I can allow that. You will find the blade when you start training, as for the design.." a blue screen appeared in front of me with different swords and customizable options. I smiled and got right to work.

I ended up with a basic Katana design that had a black blade that had a dark purple edge with a pentagon shape black gaurd with 5 high qauliy dark sapphires at each tip. Its handle had a black wrap with dark red diamond shapes on it. The scabbard was a traditional black scabbard with another sapphire at the mouth and red diamond shapes going along the scabbard.

The angel nodded as she at my design at the screen disappeared. "And for your final wish?" she asked curiously.

"I want a warriors body." I said plainly. She seemed a bit confused about this so I elaborated. "It's a body that has a warrior bone structure that has heightened strength, ability, stamina, and reflexes."

She thought it over a bit more. "I grant you these wishes, although I am a bit curious of your choice though. I can understand some of them but I don't understand how these will help you reach your goal."

I realized that she must of heard my earlier thoughts. "I chose Yoriichi's talent since he is the best I know and I want to get started as soon as possible, and while talent alone won't get me to the top it will give me a chance to. As for Ice powers and Haki, I think I might need some additional abilities that will help me improve and increase my arsenal since I plan on picking up a few more skills other then just swordsman ship. And for the blade and body, the body will insure that I will have a high vitality and will improve my physical abilities, while the blade will ensure I have a powerfull weapon that can wistand my physical abilities and won't get damaged or break any time soon."

She nodded at these, but I wasn't finished. "Also, since you nodded at the ice powers and didn't stop, that means where ever I going, there will be dangers and probably people with similar abilities."

Her eyes widened in surprise at that before letting out a small laugh. "Ha, your are quite the analyzer. I am curious to see how you turn out. Know if that's all shall we get on with your knew life?"

She obviously wasn't expecting anything else, but I wasn't done. " I actually have a small request, if it is grantable?"

She looked at me curiously wondering what I was going to say. "I want you to erase parts of my memories." I said. This took her of gaurd as she wasn't expecting it.

"Why would you want that?" she asked confused. I took a deep breath and answered. "I this so I will have a better time adjusting and interacting with others. If I have any info on the way the worlds going to go, I want you too wile those memories besides basic knowledge, like the lands system and if there's a special ability. You can make it so I get re-educated on that. I want only to keep my ways (how he acts, his disaplin, personality, stuff like that); my education, basic knowledge and wisdom (insuring I'm not ignorantor an idiot). As well as basic of martial arts only, minus swordsmanship, and sub zero attacks."

She looked confused for a moment before asking. "Why would you want that, surely if you had prior knowledge to the world you would want to use it, and you worked hard to gain all you knowledge and skills, would you want to use them?"

I laughed. "Thats why I'm getting rid of them. If I know to much or about certain events or people I won't be able to interact with them and would end up manipulating them and the events. I want to enjoy life, not plan it out."

She seemed to understand my reasoning and smiled. "You truly are a incredible person, enjoy your next life." she and the room started fading to black, but I caught one more thing. "Yuki Hagane"

I opened my breathed in what felt like my first breath, and began crying.
