I stand in front of the mirror,

Trying to find the real me

But, all I could see is a body covered with scars and an under-confident girl,

An ugly and a torn soul,

I'm not depressed, no I'm not!

But, I self-doubt.

You judge me by what I wear and how I look?

But, do you care if I'm broken and need to be healed?

"You don't share anything," is what I get to hear

But, I can't, because I never made any friends.

You called me your friend but did you care to look around and ask me if I'm okay?

You called me a weirdo when I talked to myself

But, have you ever thought why was it even necessary to make an imaginary friend?

Yes, it still affects me when I remember those days, The days which you don't remember but I do,

The days when you bullied me because I wasn't as pretty as you,

And the days which today approve the tag of 'unintentional bullying'

Have you ever thought about being annoying? Overthinking?

I'll tell you how it feels like,

You want to talk but you can't

Why? You sound stupid; they don't like you; you don't deserve their love;

Deal with it alone, because if you tell them they'll judge you.

Nothing suits you; you're ugly; why do people even talk to you?

I changed myself to be around you, I don't blame you, I know, somewhere in the corner you know me, you care,

You want to ask me if I'm okay but you're too busy, dealing with yourself.

For you, I'm just another teenager going through a hard time

But maybe it's better to blow the fire off before it burns you.

I don't want you to show sympathy,

I want you to understand that

Maybe, people don't think the way you

think they do.

Maybe, they are not as pretty as you

But, you have no right to say they don't deserve to feel pretty.

Tell them their life is worth living, Tell them their soul isn't torn, it just needs to be arranged.

Don't ask them to share, just gaze at those fearless stars, along with them.

Don't ask them to say "I love you"

Instead, understand them and say "I love you more,"

Tell them they've got beautiful eyes and a beautiful smile,

Tell them that their body doesn't define them,

Tell them they've got no right to treat their soul cruelly,

Tell them not to cut themselves,

Cuts don't make the pain go away; instead, it reminds you of the pain you face.

Not every day will be special, But not every day will be disappointing.

The world doesn't get to choose if you're incompetent; you get to choose.

You get to choose your abilities,

I wish I could realize my worth; I wish I could say-

You are better than before, I'm better than before,

We are better than before.
