72 72. Academy 2.

We only did meditation for about an hour, as too drastic an increase would certainly attract attention. After that we stored out necklaces in our spatial rings before heading back out and nearly no time had passed at all.

"Well we can head to the library to do some studying, best to get as much information as we can." I tell the girls.

"That is probably wise. These eyes are amazing by the way." Ning'er says touching her cheek.

"They are amazing. But don't get over confident because of them, hard work is still needed." I tell her seriously before heading out of the room with the two following behind.

The first official day wasn't that difficult and was easier than I had expected. But then again it was still the first day.

The next couple of months the difficulty would quickly rise the more we got used to the training.

It also seems that class 1 was for nobles and the elites only because very quickly people who couldn't cut it were removed from the class to lower classes, didn't matter if they were nobles or not. If you waste the time or can't keep up then you were out.

Apparently if you graduate from class 1 you will get a seated position at least when joining a squad. So kind of like a promotion upon completion of the course instead of just being the common soul reaper.

1st seat being captain of the squad.

2nd seat is lieutenant or second in command.

Then seat 3 to 10 is senior officer. Seat 11 to 20 is junior officer. Normally only a single person can hold a senior officer position with very few oddities, as for the junior officer multiple people can hold that rank.

To become a captain one needs to take Captain Proficiency Test and produce bankai in the presence of 3 captains including the Captain Commander.

The second way to become a captain is to have 6 captains recommend you then have 3 more approve of the remaining 7.

Finally the last way to become a captain is to kill or defeat the previous captain in battle. With 200 of his squad watching at least. Gotta beat a man in front of his homies how harsh.

As for a lieutenant those are chosen by the captain of the squad.

The rest of the seats depends on work and normal promotion. Still getting ranked as a junior officer saves you the hassle of doing quite a few shit missions and you can form your own small squad.

You could probably earn bonus points with captains by graduating early, however I have no intention to do that. I want to relax and study and train before being dumped responsibilities.

Learn all the Kido of the academy and then master them, because there are restrictions to higher ranked Kido arts and you need to be ranked to access them. At least a senior officer.

Come the first semester though me, Stella and Ning'er scored top of the year in all of our tests and sparring matches. I was even given a reward and allowed a request due to the fact I had achieved Shikai the fastest in known history. It was anything within reason from learning advanced kido, getting training personally with a lieutenant of my choice, things like that. Anyone would kill for personal training with a lieutenant as for me...

"Can I wear different clothes? I find these rather uncomfortable personally. Bit too baggy for my taste." I requested from the teacher who looked shocked.

"You can get personal training from a lieutenant and all you want is to wear different clothes?" He asks again just to make sure.

"Uh can we do the same?" Stella asks not really liking the wooden sandals. Ning'er and her also had a request due to being top 3 in the year. Ning'er nodded along with her.

The teacher just sighed, "Alright I'll let your requests be known."

Luckily our requests were granted, we didn't even need to ask because the nobles don't take orders from the 13 gaurd squads, we are independent and only take orders in emergency situations and from central 46 which was like the high court or some shit. Who knew?

Still it was fine with me. We had earned it and I didn't feel like being some douchbag young master simply because I could.

Still the konoha Anbu outfit without the armor was nice to wear. Simple black pants that are only slightly baggy, gray ninja sandals, then a black t-shirt with a gray jonin vest cause I like the pockets, gives me a place to put my hands instead of in sleeves. I had a gray waist pouch too with my belt so that mimic could ride around inside. It seemed to enjoy that.

Stella and Ning'er had the same idea as me because they were comfortable. They chose to carry thier swords on their waists.

Much easier to move around in when my clothes didnt feel like they were going to flop off and I didn't have to wear socks with sandals. Plus these were much less difficult to put on.

Some people criticized us for our choices but we didn't care. I just wanted to be comfortable. Not like I was hurting anyone.

I had 6 years here, I'm not wearing fucking socks and sandals for 6 years! Eat my ass. But I would like one of those sweet captain coats, I'll get one eventually.

Most of our time was spent going over books in the library, sparring to increase our skills, training in the courtyard, running the obstacle course with or without using our Sharingan add ons. Just basic training and studying so we would ace tests and not do something illegal without knowing.

This place had quite a few laws after all that one needed to know. But the best part was starting to learn the various Kido, if you ignore the chants which are cringey at best.
