1 Chapter 1: A Dating Sim Choice System with a personality (Not Edited)
It was like every other day. I'll go to school in the morning, sit through the boring lectures that the teachers give, and then go on lunch break with a 'few' of my close friends. At the same time, we chat about random things you would expect 1st years to talk about, for example, who is dating who and who broke up with who and what class we want to skip if not all.
Right after school, I would go home while taking the usual route I would walk, but I would make sure to stop by my favorite cafe to order a creamy milk coffee on the go, while catching up with one of the workers of the cafe, then be on my way home. A never changing routine I follow or should I say followed until this morning...

The descriptions next to my states were painful and hurtful. Who said that words couldn't break a person? I call bullshit on whoever said those words. Just reading the comments under each skill feels like a sharp knife going through my heart and shredding it to pieces while ensuring the wounds stay there for life. Instead of a Dating Sim System, it would be appropriate to call it an Insult System, as each of its comments is devastating and heart-reaching to read.
[ The System has decided to migrate a Choice sub-system into the System to ensure that the Host will make the correct choices instead of idiotic ones, which one will expect of a useless being! ]

The moment I read those lines, I decided to close my eyes and hope everything that I saw since this morning was just a dream and that the hurtful words that the System spoke were just my own insecurity's acting up in my dreams.
But sadly, it was not, no matter how hard I tried to deny the existence of this evil System that proclaims itself as a 'Dating Sim System.'
It would just pop up every time I open my eyes.
Now in front of me was a newly add status.

The one thing this System got right was that my mental state was defiantly unstable. I mean, for real, who would be able to keep their minds sane after reading all the comments that the System made, and not to forget all the insults that the System keeps on making about me?
At this moment, if it were not for the fact that this evil System was indeed a 'Dating Sim System,' I would have unleashed every forbidden word I knew or heard of from others.
But sadly, it was the real thing, as it even has a 'Relationship Status' that most dating sim games have or are required to have.
While looking at this option, I felt unsure if I should open it or just leave it for some other time.
But who am I kidding? Who wouldn't want to know what other people felt for them?

**Time Skip**
It has been about a day since I read the 'Relationship Status'; I can say one thing: it was not a pretty site. Once I read all their thoughts about me, I broke down and cried my eyes out while saying it couldn't be true and that the System was lying, but as you would expect, you can't run away from reality, and the System replied by saying.
[ I, as a system, would never alter nor can I change any thoughts that people would have towards the Host; all their thoughts about the Host are their own opinions. ]
Once I heard the System say those words, I cried even harder.
For the first time in my life, I felt like everything I believed was a lie, be it the sweet smile my mother would give me when I came from school or the helpful advice my father would give when I had a lot of troubles on my mind. Was it all a lie, was the parental love they showed me while growing up all lies and deception? Let's not forget my sweet older sister who would always be there for me when I had a tough time in school or when mom and dad scolded me for not cleaning my room or doing the chores that had been assigned to me during the weekend, was all that a lie as well?
I couldn't help but feel depressed, and I'm not going to lie; I thought of taking my own life, but that would only benefit them, and that's a no-no for me.
As I was wallowing in my depression, a system notification appeared before me.
[ Ding~ New tasks have been created. The Host is advised to look in the 'Mission taskbar' for feather information.]
Hmm, as I heard the sound of the System, I looked towards the notification and read what it stated.

Objective 4: Go to the rooftop of your school and claim that you are the most handsome man on earth and that no man comes close to your manliness.

'WTF' was my only thought while looking at the objectives that the task required me to complete.
