11 New Class

Am I reading this right?

[Your class is "Preacher".]

Preacher? Wha… what is that?

I know a thing or two about "The Preacher" comics, but it doesn't apply in here.

And what is this shit about the desire to eradicate evil? I have no such thing. And a purified army? What is that? At least it's an army … but 'shadow army' sounds and feels much better.

Also, why Preacher? Did the system find my fighting-style like preachers'? I use a sword and 'occasionally' a shield. I don't use healing or magic.

No, wait! … The system shouldn't give me a class according to my fighting style, it is supposed to lead me to a certain specific end… "The Shadow Monarch".

According to Solo Leveling, the system was made exclusively for the Shadow Monarch.

And the initial class should be "Necromancer", not "Preacher".

I don't get it. Is this a different system? If so, then who created it? "The Architect"? Did he create this one as a trial before creating the Shadow Monarch's version? No, a trial won't justify the "Unknown" skill that I have.

Did "The Architect" create multiple systems? Or is this system a replica that someone else created for some other reason?

Then, what's in my "Unknown" skill? If it isn't the Shadow Monarch, then what would happen when the time comes? … Oh shit!

I can't trust this power … I have to be careful of whoever…

Ruler? This is… Unexpected.

All I know about The Rulers is that they are supposed to be as powerful as The Monarchs. But I don't know about their powers and personalities. I'm not sure if I should rejoice or be nervous.

'Well, let's see what my character window has to say'.

"Hmm…"

Purification works only on Magic Crystals. So, I can only recruit monsters… Wait! Can I create soldiers using the Crystals of dead monsters?

I take out a Crystal that I got from monsters on my way here and try to purify it, I shout, "Purification! Purify!" But to no avail. The target monster has to be alive for the skill to work.

Purification takes a huge amount of mana and the limit right now is five monsters only. I have to invest a lot on my Intelligence stat to increase both my mana and the soldiers' limit.

Overall, the Purified Army seems to be like a nerfed version of the Shadow Army.

As for Light Magic, it increases my combat potential.

Surprisingly, this is quite good. Maybe not as good as Shadow Monarch, but it is good enough.

The new title is also good, I can count on Miach's Blessing, leave my wounds unhealed, and fight Berserker style.

[The class advancement is now complete.

The exit will now be created.]

A gate appears in front of me. 'This gate will take me back to the room on the 5th floor'.

I give the devastated hall one last look then I enter the gate. I find myself back in the room in the western part of the 5th floor.

I spend a few hours in the same room trying my class skills out. Purification skill is a little similar to Shadow extraction. When I face a monster, this message appears above its head.

[Purification can be used on this target.]

I don't need any command phrase, I just place my hand on the chest of the target "near the Magic Crystal" and think "Purification". And then, the crystal inside the monster glow visibly with white light. After the glow fades, the monster is my soldier.

[You have succeeded in Purification.

The target is very weak.

Your purifying mana has been absorbed into the Magic crystal of the target.

The target has been strengthened successfully.]

[Goblin (Level 1) - Normal Grade.]

So, goblins are weaker than the weakest of my soldiers. It makes sense, goblins are weaker than normal adult humans anyway.

When a Purified Soldier gets injured, it performs self-regeneration by consuming my mana. And when my MP runs out, the soldier is killed irreversibly.

[You are out of mana. The Purified Soldiers cannot regenerate.

"Goblin (Level 1) - Normal Grade" has been killed.]

The real problem here is that my soldiers are considered as minions, not summons. There is no storage function. What should I do with them?

If I leave them here in the dungeon, other monsters and the adventurers will attack them. If I continuously replenish my mana, they may be able to make it in here.

But that would alert the guild. Irregular monsters that don't die, that would cause panic. And if it was found out that I'm the reason, it would create some unnecessary problems for me.

The other option is to take them to the surface with me. But to do that, I have to obtain a permit from the guild. There is also the secret entrance to the dungeon, but I have no way to know where it is. And even if I know, I don't want to have anything to do with the ones who currently use it.

I will officially apply for the permit to bring the monsters up but I doubt that they will give it to me.

"Anyway, that's a problem for tomorrow. I won't create any soldiers today".

Light Magic, I can't fully grasp its potential yet because it consumes too much mana. I tried to copy the forms of skills I saw in movies and animes but they all failed. My mana always ran out before I could reach the desired effect. All I can perform now is:

-Luminous Light (a small amount of mana that illuminates the area … Attracts the aggro of monsters and can momentarily blind them if used near their eyes).

-Light Bullet (I concentrate mana on my index finger then shoot it forward at high speed - requires at least 800MP. When I use more mana, it becomes faster and can penetrate harder armors).

-Light reinforcement (I inject mana into my sword 'to increase its attack power' or my shield 'to increase its durability').

I could achieve three moves only with my current amount of mana. From now on, I will invest all my stat points on Intelligence to increase my Light Magic capabilities and to increase the number of soldiers I can have.

To summarize what happened today, I gained a class and a new title.

My skill-set has become Tamer, Berserker, and Magic Swordsman. I don't know if this diversity is good or bad but I like it.

My armor is tattered, the chains that Sratras used were bad news. I don't think I'll buy new armor, I don't like how the armor restricts my movements 'even if it's just a little'. And if I need to, I can just unhide the armor equipped in the system.

"I should go home now, it's pretty late".
