15 Dual Potion

Nahza finally finishes the two-hour lecture about the pharmacological issues and processes that lead her to the making of this potion.
"That's why I asked Bell-san to accompany me to gather the eggs of 'Bloodsaurus' from the forest just outside of Orario. When we got back, I brew them together with Blue Papilio Wings 'you gave me those by the way'. And the result is a brand new type of potions. I'll call it 'Dual Potion'. It's a quality potion that recovers both Health and Mana."
I remember reading about that in DanMachi's novel. This patch of potions was given as a payment to cover part of Miach Familia's debt to Dian Cecht Familia… But that won't happen now that I joined Miach Familia and made a lot of money. We pay the monthly payments to Dian Cecht on time.
"Nahza, this is great, you can sell the potion here in the 'Blue Pharmacy' and make a huge profit. Oh, how much would people pay for it?" I ask.
"A potion like that would be sold for several tens of thousands apiece. And I'm the only one who knows how to make it so Miach Familia's name will be boosted for it. And we will get more customers for sure." She answers excitedly.
"Several tens of thousands, you say… That means only upper-class adventurers will be able to afford it." I say.
"That's right. We don't get any upper-class customers but thanks to me, that's about to change." She says.
"I'm not so sure about that. I mean… well done, really… You achieved something that no potion-maker was able to achieve. But…"
I say it while thinking; if her customers are all poor lower-class adventurers, then she wouldn't sell any of her high-quality potions. Also something like a 'Dual Potion' is unprecedented. They might think it's a scam, the 'Blue Pharmacy is on a side street after all. Selling normal potions for a high price, isn't a rare story for stores in back alleys.
Come to think of it, Nahza DID scam her most loyal customer 'Bell Cranel' and she did it a lot. Anyway, to bring in rich customers who can afford to risk the price buy the potion, she'll need one hell of a marketing campaign. She'll need to pay way more than she'd earn selling the dozen vials she made.
"Then what's the problem?" I was silent for a few seconds so Nahza presses me.
"No, it's nothing. I'm just jealous that there is someone more awesome than me in the Familia. Aaah… and here I thought that I was going to impress Lord Miach with the results of my training on the last trip." I say jokingly. I don't want to depress her, also I might be able to do something about it and bring her some customers.

After chatting with Nahza a little more, I take a shower and go to sleep. Miach was out and I didn't have a chance to see him today.
Since I slept early, I wake up before dawn. Waiting for them to wake up, I do push-ups, set-ups, and squats in my room. Then I go out for a run.

Completing Daily Quests is now is like an easy routine to me. Now I feel nostalgic, looking back at how I used to be breathless and beat-up for the first days I got this quest.
I return home to find Miach and Nahza preparing breakfast in the kitchen, I join them.
"Welcome back! You were out? I thought you were still asleep". Miach says with a smile.
"I got up early a bit early so I went out on a run." I reply.
We start eating then Miach starts making conversation.
"You have been on this training trip of yours for more than two weeks. So, how did your training go? I hope, everything went well." He asks.
"Yeah, it went better than I had planned. You'll see the results yourself when you update my Status. Oh… I heard the Denatus will be held soon, is that right?"
"Yes, it will be held in four days. I worried that you might not come back in time." he answers.
"Hehe, the new boy is finally growing up." Says the chuckling Nahza.
"Enough about me! Lord Miach, has Nahza told you about the new potion she made? Is it really that groundbreaking an achievement?" Teasing me when I know your weakness is stupid.
"Yes, it is. When I first came to the Lower World, I spent a decade or two trying to make a Dual Potion. But even I had failed in the task." Miach gives a serious answer as always (I'm counting on that).
"Woah… Is Nahza that amazing?" I ask innocently.
"Yes, she really is amazing." I don't look at Miach as he answers. I'm enjoying the view of Nahza's face getting beat red, look at the floor and her tail is swishing back and forth at the speed of light.
'Mission accomplished.' I enjoy my triumph in silence.

After breakfast, Miach gets ready to update my status. As planned, I level up right before the Denatus so the Guild wouldn't find the time to investigate me.
I don't want to attract attention with my fast Level-up. So, I've wrongly inclined that I was a soldier before coming to Orario while chatting with some of the Guild employees.
This way, they would think that I had already gathered Excelia before becoming an adventurer. And my level-up wasn't that fast.
'I hope everything goes as planned.' If I attract attention from the wrong Deity, I don't know what would happen. I'm still pretty weak when compared to Top-Ranked Adventurers so I have to steer away from them, for now.

I take off my shirt and set on a stool turning my back to Miach.
'Wait! … I'm pretty sure that some of my Stats are in the realm of Level 3 now'. When Miach updates my Status what would happen?
Will I level-up be a 'Level-2 Adventurer' with 0 points on every Stat (like the normal)? But then, my 'Status' wouldn't correctly reflect my abilities. Since I'm stronger than the average Level 2-Adventurers right now.
Will my 'Status' accurately reflect my Stats? Then some Stats (Strength, Agility, and maybe Magic) will break the limit since they are as high as Level-3 Adventurers.
Or will I 'double level-up' to be a Level-3 Adventurer with 0 points on every Stat? That would be catastrophic, awesome but catastrophic!
'Either way, I don't like it'.
Also, I don't want Miach to initiate the unnecessary conversation that starts with 'how is this even possible?'
And I definitely don't want my name to come up in the Denatus as the one who jumped two levels at once.
Oh right, my Stats are this high because of the equipment 'Ancient Supreme Helmet, Grave Keeper's Necklace, and Ancient Magician's Ring' that increases my Stats by a total of 65 points.
I wonder if the equipment would affect my Falna. I'd like to test it, but I won't risk it today.
I think I will test it with the Ancient Magician's Ring. I won't equip it during my Status Update today, but I'll equip it tomorrow and do another Status Update and compare the difference.
So, I remove the equipment and let Miach start the ceremony…
"Oh, have you decided on which Advanced Ability you need? Your options are Immunity and Hunter" Asks Miach.
"Yes, I've decided on Immunity. I know that Hunter is rare and can only be acquired at level one. But since I raid the dungeon alone, having resistance against poison and abnormal conditions is more important."
"You are not wrong. Getting poisoned with no ally to administer Anti-venin on you is very dangerous... Okay then, Immunity it is."

"This is strange. It is big growth. But I have never seen anything like it." Says Miach in a confused voice.
"What is it?" I ask.
"Your basic abilities continued increasing without bothering about the limits of a Level-1 Falna." He says.
"What does that mean?" I ask
"A 'Falna' is essentially the vessel that contains your Excelia. When you fill that vessel, you can't add anymore Excelia unless you bring a bigger vessel. Leveling-up is basically upgrading your Falna into a bigger vessel.
But in your case, your Excelia was added anyway. It's if you had a 'spare vessel' in you. And once I upgraded your Falna, the Excelia in that spare vessel was poured into the upgraded Falna." He explains.
It seems that the spare vessel he's talking about is either the System itself or the 'Unknown (level: MAX)' skill.
"This wasn't all, your Advanced Ability 'Tamer' has gone up by four levels at once. I have never heard of such a thing.
You also have got exceptionally powerful magic. That's in addition to three new Skills. Your growth this time is too much." Miach continues.
"Well, I've been doing nothing but hunting and taming monsters for more than two weeks. I also tried to learn magic." I say.
"It takes at least several months to raise an Advanced Ability by one level. So, no this is definitely not the reason.
And trying to learn magic doesn't necessarily give you magic spells. You have to have the innate susceptibility to magic, which is a rare thing for humans."
He says it with an absent voice while writing down my Status on a piece of paper.
"Before concealing your Status, I will try to encode your Falna as much as I can… Concealing once Status is usually enough. But with you, we have to be extra sure.
With your Status like this, it is only a matter of time before someone notices it and approaches you with a 'Status Thief'. (An illegal item created to view someone's status.)
Hell, with this number of Skills and variety of Advanced Abilities, we would be lucky if the Guild doesn't accuse us of falsifying your level."
He hands me the paper and then starts working the Falna on my back.
'Wow, he sounds confused and worried. Well, it isn't like his worries are wrong.' Encoding the Status then concealing it, he really is thorough.
It's a good thing that he is competent and experienced and not an ignorant fool like Hestia. 'The idiot leaves Bell walking around with his Status visible for everyone.' Joining Miach Familia was definitely the right choice for me.

After concealing my Status, Miach starts explaining my new abilities.
"You have obtained the magic spell 'Brilliant Light'. It gives you the ability to use any type of light-based magic. As long as you know the incantation, be it Chant-Type, Enchant-Type, Burst-Magic, or Healing-Magic, you can use it all."
"Wow! Can I use any light-magic spell in this world?" I say.
It seems Miach doesn't know that I can use magic without any incantations. But even though, there are some overpowered people in this world. If I can copy an over-destructive spell or two, it would be awesome.
"I advise you to get some books to learn more about light-based magic before trying. You have to be aware of 'Ignis Fatuus'. When a caster messes up the incantation, the spell explodes and hurts the caster." He says.
"Okay".
"And your new skills, 'Telekinesis' enables you to move objects without touching them.
'Stealth' makes you hide your presence from your enemies, but it's not omnipotent and some adventurers will be able to see through it. So, be careful.
'Fighting Spirit' enables you of getting stronger through damage, the more damage you take the stronger you get. You have to be careful with this one, don't let the goal of getting stronger drive you to be mortally wounded.
All three of them are rare skills by the way. So, try to hide them from other adventurers for now." He explains.
"Of course I'll hide them. Or else it would be troublesome."
"Good."
