16 Chapter 16

Wei Xiaodan's heart almost stopped for a second there, and immediately admitted his mistake, "I was young and foolish, senior. I didn't know how the world works that time and acted arrogantly using my emotions. Please forgive this junior of yours."

Mevis nodded his head and accepted his apology then said, "Only in one condition."

Wei Xiaodan was immediately overjoyed. If it was being his disciple, he decides that he'll accept this time to escape death. After all, a death of his could stop his vengeance. A dead person could only resent, not take revenge, "What kind of condition do you have, senior…?"

Mevis threw the dark book in his hand and soon it landed on Wei Xiaodan's palm before he could catch it. Even though he had watched it being thrown, it felt like it teleported and immediately appeared in his hand.

With a cold tone, Mevis told him what his conditions are, "If you could master that cultivation art in a hundred years, I would spare your life."

Hundred years?! Wei Xiaodan almost had his jaw fall to the ground. How can a human live a hundred years anyway? A human cannot live that long, unless one has a sturdy and healthy body, only then would they be able to do such a feat.

"I can't live that long, senior. Humans only had a short life span. Sure it might look like a short time passing by in your eyes, but to us, that's like our whole life being spent." 

"Don't worry I adjusted the time flow here. A fifty years here would be like a day in your world. And in here too, you wouldn't grow old, because since the time flow here was different, it almost made you feel as if only a day had passed after 50 years."

Mevis noticed that Wei Xiaodan was about to say something, and suddenly with a smile on his face, vanished into the dark, leaving Wei Xiaodan alone into the eternal darkness with the book in his hand.

Wei Xiaodan wanted to complain but seeing there's no one he could complain now, he started staring blankly in the book under his hand before opening it.

Wei Xiaodan circulated the demonic hell flames and soon, his body brimmed with golden lights which made him able to see his surroundings. Now he was starting to wonder how he had seen Mevis before, nor how did he know that the dark book was dark. It was a mystery.

"There was nothing??" When Wei Xiaodan started reading the book, his face couldn't help but tilt to the side in confusion. No matter how many times he flipped the next pages, literally every page was empty.

"Why did he give me an empty book though?" Wei Xiaodan was now thinking that maybe Mevis was just doing it on purpose and just wanted to lock him in this dimension. So Wei Xiaodan sat on the ground and closed his eyes before circulating the demonic hell flames inside his body.

Once he had entered the state of concentration, his mind entered the state of a full in a galaxy world he was familiar too again. But this time, he tried out a few things.

"What would happen if I tried using the demonic hell flames to move my body instead?" Wei Xiaodan was eager to give it a try, and immediately circulated the demonic hell flames. Fortunately, he wasn't restricted by the galaxy world and the demonic hell flames weren't sucked in by it either. He was able to move by ordering the demonic hell flames to move his body according to what he says. Wei Xiaodan was overjoyed by the result and he decided to stroll around the galaxy. Far away inside the galaxy, there were islands floating without any gravity. If it is as he feared, then there's gotta be something inside those islands. Even the demonic hell flames couldn't distort a single space despite its strength, so what else would be in those islands then.

Wei Xiaodan was now curious what's the background of the galaxy he had fallen into. Although the galaxy doesn't endanger him so much, he felt like there's something amiss about the galaxy world. In the beginning, he didn't know how it existed inside his head.

Wei Xiaodan was about to venture to the island as he started rushing towards one, but before he could get close to it, the galaxy suddenly acted weird and sucked him like a vortex, forcibly making him leave the galaxy world.

When Wei Xiaodan opened his eyes again, everything surrounding him was in complete darkness. Wei Xiaodan then circulated the demonic hell flames and soon his body brimmed with golden flames, and without further ado, he took out the book from his side and started staring at it. Since cultivating was no use, the dark book was the only choice. Even if he has to spend a hundred years, he would do it in order to achieve his plot of revenge.

Days and days. Wei Xiaodan started counting hours in his head as he continued staring at the empty dark book. Soon, months passed like a leaf, and next were years. He couldn't feel hungry for some reason, nor feeling tired. All he had was the fixed state he got before he got locked in this world.

10 years had passed as he also trained his body by doing workouts, the dark book remained empty in the darkness.

At that moment, Wei Xiaodan suddenly faced palm and thought of something, "Would inserting my demonic hell flames inside the book could possibly work? I mean, it's the only thing I got before coming here, so perhaps it's the only one that could help me also."
