Isabella decided to be kind to the people she at least could. She didn't want to turn into people who she detests. She didn't want to be a monster like Mathias.

Although deep down she knew clearly that people won't ever look at her with kind eyes. They won't behave well with her without any reason. She knew when the maids stole her jewellery. 

"M-My Lady! I-I was cleaning your jewellery."

A maid said with shaking eyes. She was clearly hiding jewellery inside her dress.

Their guilty smile and their trembling voice revealed it all. But Isabella decided to turn blind eye to that. 

"Oh, I see. You can go back now."

Yes. Just smile kindly. They might feel guilty and stop doing bad deeds.
