2 But Why?

"YOU GUYS HAD ONE JOB AND YOU CAN'T DO THAT PERFECTLY EITHER?!?", shouted Marissa angrily as the men standing in front of her looked down with absolute embarrassment and looked displeased. Sasha walked toward everyone and asked her mother what happened, "they broke one of the legs of my dresser while shifting it" Marissa said while looking angry and stressed, suddenly another young guy who was also a moving agent appeared from behind and said "is this yours perhaps? it fell while moving that table" and as Marissa saw what he was holding she lost it and started shouting again "CAN'T YOU GUYS BE MORE CAREFUL DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW VALUABLE THAT IS" and she snatched the object from his hands and when Sasha saw that is was a similar looking book she said "I have seen that somewhere..., WAIT isn't that the same book aunt Zoe had?" as Sasah said that Marissa turned her head in bafflement as to how does Sasha know about this book "I- dear how do you know about this?" asked Marissa "Mommy I fou-" as Sasha was replying Marissa cuts her off mid sentence and says "hon why don't you go inside and wait while I pay the agents and then we will talk?", "Sure mommy" replied Sasha and walked inside.

Soon Marissa paid the agents and came back inside to see that Sasha was sitting on a couch with her head filled with thoughts,

Mar:- "So love how exactly do you know about the book?... I don't remember ever mentioning it"

Sas:- "Yeah mommy you never told me about the book"

Mar:- "Then how do you know about it, dear?"

Sas:- "Actually mommy while you went downstairs and when I was unpacking I saw something poking out of the drawer and then when I went to check what it is I found a book similar to the one you are holding, black with all stickers on it"

Mar:- "You found it here?" she asked looking somewhat scared

Sas:- "Yeah mommy I can show you it's upstairs"

as soon as Sasha said this Marissa started pacing back and forth and then said "yes let's go show me where you found it".

Both of them then went upstairs hurriedly and as Marissa saw the book on the floor which Sasha found and had forgotten to pick up when she heard the noise downstairs Marissa jumps and picks the book from the ground and said in an anxious tone "Where did you find it?"

"Right over there mommy" replied Sasha, "No tell me exactly where, which drawer?" Marissa stated.

"Mommy why are you so nervous suddenly?" uttered Sasha, "JU- Just tell me where you found it honey" replied Marissa. Sasha then walked towards the white dresser and opened the 2nd last drawer of it and said "I found it here mommy"

"you found it in the dresser?" Marissa stated in a puzzled voice, "Yes mommy I did, but why are you anxious and look worried did I do something wrong, was I not supposed to touch the dresser?" replied Sasha looking sullen.

As Marissa saw her dear daughter looking all sad she said "Aw come here love and no you didn't do anything wrong I am sorry I overreacted a bit didn't I" and gave a smile with her eyes looking as sorrowful as they could get.

Mar:- "Anyways did you read the book?"

Sas:- "Nope," said Sasha shaking her head and then added "I just read the front page which had aunty Zoe's name written on it"

Mar:- "you just read the first page?"

Sas:- "Yup mommy. OH, by the way, did aunt Zoe have a name with the letters B and O? It's written on the book beside the name Morgan but it is scribbled off I could only make out those two letters".

Marissa's face completely changed and turned into a petrified look and announced "Sasha you are never to read these books. Ever."

"But mommy why not?... I wanna know how aunt Zoe's life was, I wanna know how she was. You never tell me anything about her" Sasha said looking provoked, "No means no Sasha", Marissa then walked away with the two books in her hand while Sasha stood there staring at her anxiously...
