The world has been overrun by monsters, these monsters take multiple shapes and sizes but all share two distinct characteristics. Whether they have leather skin, hair, fur, feathers, or scales they are all grey in color. They also all share the same violet eyes. Some take shapes in the form of giant lizards, others closely resemble the dragons from fairy tales. But the most common and ferocious one, the one that caused the fall of human society are the ones named Pack Skars. They are quadrupeds with leathery skin and eel like necks. They’re favorite food is human. They enjoy tracking, cornering and eating humans more than anything, they are extremely fast and very powerful, their sharp claws and powerful jaws can easily tear into a car. It's been ten years since the Skars came from the Abyss, and humanity is already on the brink of extinction. Luke is a boy who was just a seven year old child when the Skars first came. He lost everyone he ever cared about within the first two years. Ever since then he has been traveling alone using all of his survival instincts and naturally high physical capabilities to survive in this land of death. Along his travels he comes across an old family friend and her daughter. They are being chased by one of the few remaining human societies left. Luke isn’t told why but the society is after the daughter who is only twelve years old. Due to the fact that the woman was close friends with his parents Luke feels obligated to help them. What he doesn't know is that the woman's daughter is extremely special. For some reason she has the ability to control the Skars, she has only been able to use this ability a handful of times as she does not know how to fully control it. The society wants to take her in to study her, after all she could be the key to saving the human race. But for some reason the mother is extremely afraid of them, Luke feels obligated to help them because of their past relationship with his parents. What he doesn’t know is that he’s treading on a very thin line of being the person who saves the world, or being the person who allows it to die. And at the same time, Luke also has a secret that he is trying to keep
