6 Chained

As the ropes pulled her arms to immobility, Atila locked her face into a chilling stone appearance. She dropped to her knees and waited for the leader of the troupe to step forth. A hardy man with a finely carved sward looked down at her and spoke.

"My master has invited you to meet him. He has heard of your skills and wants you."

No explanation of "wants me", Atila thought. If he was mysterious, she would be unsolvable. He would not get what he wants, whatever it may be. A kidnapped hunter is not a willing hunter, unless enslaved by fear. Fear was not her weakness by far. How would this "master" control her? Atila internally laughed. He could try his hardest, but she would never be his. She was not his animal to control or his female to win.

Before she could finish her thoughts, she was blindfolded and chained. She expected for the group to start walking towards whatever fortress they crawled out of. She knew she could use her feet to feel the terrain for clues as to where it was. Unfortunately they had been advised of that before the mission. Thick poles were laced through her chains and held her in suspension. Cotton was stuffed in her ears, preventing her from even gathering sound clues. As she was being carried, she knew she would have little to no idea how to get back. If she ever escaped.
