2 Chapter 2

"I'm home. Mom, what are we having for dinner tonight?" asked Ethan to his mom while smiling.

"Just the usual. Go take a bath first, you stink. Your dad is not home yet, so let us wait for him and have dinner together," said Ethan's mom.

"Yes~," answered Ethan.

Ethan then walked towards his room and took his towel. He then ran to the bathroom to take a bath. Ethan's family was not well off but they were not poor either. They were just an average family. Their home had bathroom but they usually taking bath only with cold water.

Ethan took off his clothes, scooped the water and splashed his body with the cold water.

"Brrrr~," he made a shivering sound due to the cold water. He then splashed the cold water a few more times, used the shampoo and soap and splashed the cold water again to rinsed his body off the shampoo and soap.

After he finished taking the bath, he took his towel and cover his body with it. The towel was big, so it covered his whole body. He went outside the bathroom and stopped in his track.

"Brrr~," again he made the shivering sound while shivering and then continued talking to himself "The wind has been blowing quite strong recently, are the storm coming?"

For the past few days, the wind had been blowing stronger than usual. In Nanaz Village, when the wind blowing this strong that means that the storm is coming but there was no report of a storm moving their way.

Ethan than walked back to his room, searching for clothes to wear that night. After he found his clothes, he wore it, walked out of his room and run into his parents' room.

"Eliya, are you sleeping?" said Ethan towards the small crib in his parents' room.

Ethan looked inside the crib and saw his baby sister, Eliya, sleeping. Eliya is only 5 months old. Ethan held Eliya hand and rubbed his thumb on the back of Eliya hand. At the back of Eliya hand, there was a small mole. Moles usually black but that mole was cyan in color. When the village chief saw that mole, he said "Eliya will have a lot of luck". While thinking of that, Ethan smiled.

"Uwaa~ the wind is really strong. I'm home," Ethan's dad is home.

"Ethan~ I bring home the thing you ask," after he said that, he took out a few books from his bag.

Ethan heard that and immediately went out of the room to his dad. When he saw the books, he let out a big smile. "Thanks a lot, dad"

Ethan loves reading. Everyone in the village knows this. Among kids his age in Nanaz Village, he was the most knowledgeable but even though he had knowledge, he was not the smartest. He was still a kid. Many other kids in the village was given a hard time by their parents who wanted them to be like Ethan.

Ethan's dad pleasantly smiled watching his son happily took the books.

Village Chief's House

Village Chief stared outside his house with concerned face.

"Grandpa, is there something outside?" asked Luke who found it weird that the village chief stared outside for quite a while.

"Nothing," answered Village Chief while smiling towards Luke.

Luke fell silent. He saw the face of Village Chief when he stared outside. Luke then walked back into his room.

'What is this feeling?' said the village chief in his mind while putting his hand on his chest. His heart beating faster than usual.

The village chief was the strongest person in Nanaz Village. He was the only Ranker in the village. Although he was only Rank 1 Level 7 but no one else in the village that can reach Rank 1.

Ranker was a title given to everyone who advance to Rank 1. Once someone becomes a Ranker, they will live longer than people who was at Rank 0. To advance from Rank 0 to Rank 1 was really hard thus not many people who able to do that.

Ethan's House

"Ethan, it is already late. Stop reading that book and go to sleep," said Ethan's mom. Then, Ethan's mom left Ethan's room.

Ethan closed his book, arranged it on his table and lay down on his bed. He stared towards the roof for a while and said "Good night." He closed his eyes and fell asleep.

"Morning mom, dad,"

"Morning Ethan," both of them replied.

"Eliya, good morning,"

"…," Eliya stared at Ethan. Ethan then smiled, sit on the chair beside Eliya and started eating his breakfast.

"Screech!!!!!!!!" suddenly a loud screeching reverberates around the whole village.

"What is that!?" said Ethan's dad shocked. He ran outside to see what happened. Ethan and his mom followed after his dad.

When they were outside, their neighbors and all the other villagers all went outside too. The screeching sound didn't stop and becoming louder and louder. They all looked towards where the sound coming from. In the middle of nanaz farm, something was formed. Small orb filled with wind element energy was formed. The energy was so strong that everyone can feel the pressure.

Suddenly, strong wind blows from behind and all the villagers including Ethan's family were blown away by the wind.

"Ethan!!!" Ethan's mom and dad screamed and tried to reach their hand to hold Ethan but the wind was so strong they failed to do that.

Ethan was blown toward a big boulder. His body slammed the boulder, "aarrrghhh!!!" Ethan screamed in pain. Ethan hold onto the boulder so that he won't be blown by the wind while enduring the intense pain he felt on his body. He coughed up blood. He looked around him, people and plants being blown, and houses destroyed by the wind.

From afar Ethan saw his mom and dad managed to cling on a tree that was not yet blown by the wind. Ethan remember Eliya was still in the house. Seeing that many houses been destroyed by the wind, Ethan immediately looked towards his house. Luckily, his house was still fine. 'Eliya will have a lot of luck' he remembered what the village chief said. "It must be true" said Ethan while smiling.

"Wind Magic – Burst!!" While being blown by the wind, the village chief used his magic to fly towards the orbs. Wind Magic – Burst when activate used wind on the user legs to propelled forward at high speed. With good control the user can move in any direction at high speed.

The village chief recognize the orb. It was the Wind Orb. The Wind Orb were sought after by every Ranker especially the ones who specialized in wind magic. The Wind Orb can help them increase their wind magic power as well as increased their level and stats a lot. There were many other elemental orbs and the orbs also had their own grade but even the lowest grade can cause natural disaster. The Wind Orb appeared in Nanaz Village was the lowest grade.

The village chief rushed towards the orbs using his magic was not because he wants the orb but once someone touched the orb, no one else can use it. When that happen, the natural disaster that happened when the orb appeared will stop.

The village chief flied at high speed when suddenly a man in black robe appeared in front of him and cut the village chief in half. "Don't be greedy your inferior being. That is mine," said the black robe man. The village chief corpse was then being blown by the wind.

The black robe man approached the wind orb and held it in his palm. A strong wind was released from the orb. The strong wind slowly dissipated. The villagers sighed in relief but some of them not. Some of the villagers saw what happened to village chief.

"This is not the end," said the black robe man. He took a black crystal out and break it.

A huge magic circle appeared covering the whole village. Monsters then flooded out of the magic circle and attack the villagers.

"Your wind elements' talent will be good supplement to increase my wind orb power"
