17 Chapter 17
Due to Ethan and Lilia's double drop, they manage to collect the money to buy a land in a week. Right now, their base was being built. They decided to build a 3 story building. The living room, dining room, kitchen and 5 rooms on the first floor. There were 10 rooms on both the second floor and third floor. Each rooms had their own toilet. Since they can make money easier, Ethan and Lilia decided to go all out for their base.
While their base was being built, Ethan and Lilia hunting at the prairie like usual. They took jobs and finish it on the same day. Ethan's party gains a bit of popularity among the jobs poster especially the one who posted jobs of collecting materials from monster. Ethan's party usually finish their jobs in one day and the materials they collected usually higher quality than normal. Normal material usually at F grade according to Ethan's special skills grading. There were E grade materials on the market too but it was uncommon. D grade also existed in the market but a bit rare. So, Ethan and Lilia decided to collect drops of E grade and slipped 1 or 2 D grade too. The last two days, Ethan and Lilia got a few people requesting them to do the jobs. There was one requester who request to get 1000 slime fluid in one day. Ethan and Lilia declined it immediately. The request was unreasonable. They know their limit and 1000 was too much for them.
For all the jobs they done, they got stats crystals but it didn't give them much stats boost since the jobs they done were F rank jobs. However, their mastery over their skills increased. For Ethan, his Tame skill's mastery increase to 3/10, Wafu's Null: Tackle increased to 4/10 and Lilia's Fire: Fire ball increased to 2/10.
"Hunting at the prairie is not effective anymore," said Ethan
"Should we start going to the dungeon?" asked Lilia.
"I think this is the right time. Since our base will take more time to finish building, we should go to the nearest dungeon and camps there for few days and comes back after our base finish," said Ethan.
"Then let's go tomorrow. An F rank dungeon nearby will be the slime dungeon further south of here. I already check the information about the dungeon a few days ago. If we walk there, it will take 3 hours," said Lilia.
"I made the right choice taming Wafu. We just need to buy a carriage, lots of HP and MP potions cook foods and tents," said Ethan.
"Cook foods? Ethan, you have cooking talents, right?" asked Lilia.
"If I learn a dish skill then we will only be eating that one dish for most of the time we were there and beside, with my storage, our food won't spoil because the storage is time proof," said Ethan.
"What are you talking about? You can easily get a broader cooking skill. Since we will be roasting most of our meals, you can get Cooking: Roast," said Lilia.
"There are cooking skills like that?" asked Ethan.
"You really lost most of your knowledge due to newborn," said Lilia.
"… I think we all need to learn new skills. One skill for each talent. I need to omit two talents. My tame skill takes my first slot and I need appraisal too. I think I will omit my water and sewing talent," said Ethan.
"Ethan. Since money is not a problem for us, why don't you remove your appraisal skills?" said Lilia.
"You know that we need appraisal for our special skills," said Ethan.
"Why waste a slot for appraisal when we are more than capable to buy appraisal tools?" said Lilia.
"…" Ethan fell silent.
"I'm not sure what skills you can learn from sewing talent but Wafu has water talent and you can summon him anytime when you learn Tame: Summon so I think you can abandon your water talent," said Lilia.
"But then I won't have any magic attacks and that creates disadvantages to me," said Ethan.
"I'm not sure if this is true but there is a tame skill where the tamer can use their tame monster skills. If we can get that, you don't have to worry about coverage. You should try asking Haruto, he might know something," said Lilia. Lilia never met Haruto but Ethan told her about Haruto.

"All I know are basic information. There were six floors for this dungeon. Each floor has their own boss and each floor have specific monster. Just like the dungeon name, the dungeon is fill with slime. The only monster we can find in the dungeon is slime. The first floor is filled with normal slime just like the slime we can find here. Second floor is blue slime. Blue slime possesses water talent and can use water magic. They use offensive magic Water: Shot and passive magic Water: Absorb. Water: Absorb absorbs water or water element magic and heals them. All elemental slime in this dungeon knows absorb skills," said Lilia.
"We wont have much problem if we plan everything properly. How about the other floor?" said Ethan.
"I almost forgot, the normal slime in the dungeon knows another skill different than the ones we found here in the prairie. They have passive skill Null: Physical. Physical attack is ineffective against them," said Lilia.
"So, we all needs to learn magic attack skills," said Ethan.
"Third floor is red slime with fire talent and can use Fire: Shot and Fire: Absorb. Fourth floor fill with green slime. They have wind talent and learns Wind: Gust and Wind: Absorb. The fifth floor is the brown slime with earth talent and they can use Earth: Rock body and Earth: Absorb," explained Lilia.
"Then the brown slime will be invincible, right? They can absorb rocks and soils every time someone attacks them," said Ethan.
"The brown slime is really the most troublesome but they can't attack. Once they harden their body with rock body, their body will be heavy and they cant move. Usually adventurer try to kill them before they use rock body but after they use them, most adventurer just left them and find another prey," said Lilia.
"okay then how about the sixth floor?" asked Ethan.
"It is mix with all the slime available from the previous floor and this floor is the hardest because the slime attacks in groups," said Lilia.
"We needs magic skills more than ever now to complete the dungeon," said Ethan.
"You want to complete it? It will take a long time and the weakest groups that able to complete this dungeon was a group of Rank 1 ranker and it took them 3 months to complete the dungeon. With our strength, the furthest we can go will be the first floor boss," said Lilia
"I know it is hard but we don't have much choice," said Ethan
"Choice?"
"Someone told me that I can improve the special skills if I complete dungeons," said Ethan.
"Did Haruto told you that? He is the only one other than us who knows about the special skills," said Lilia.
"No, it was someone else. That person suddenly appeared and told me that," said Ethan.
"And you believe him? What if he lied?" asked Lilia.
"I doubt it," said Ethan.
"We can try but I don't think we can conquer them with our current strength," said Lilia.
"Let's not waste more time. We need to train," said Ethan with determined face. Upgrading the special skills were important if he wanted to becomes stronger.
Lilia looked at Ethan's determined face and she got pump up too as she also wanted to become stronger and showed her clan she can becomes stronger too without the same talents as them.
