13 Chapter 13

9 years ago, Nanaz Village.

The magic circle that appeared in Nanaz Village summoned lots of monster and destroy many towns and village around them. It took Fruth Kingdom 2 months to finish exterminating all the monsters spawned from the magic circle.

"Kyaaahhhhh~" an eagle sound can be heard flying above the destroyed nanaz village. It was not a normal eagle, the eagle was huge and riding that eagle were a man and woman.

"Ava, it really totally destroyed just like the rumors," said Connor.

"This will take them awhile to be able to rebuild everything. There was stench of monsters everywhere. We just came back from our long trip and this is the view we see," said Ava

"There were a lot of leftover magical energy left from the magic circle and fight too. This will draw monsters from other place to come here. See, there is a monster visiting this place," said Connor.

"Kyaaahhhhh~" the eagle made a sound and pointed a house in Nanaz Village.

"Biddy said there is a human buried alive under there," said Ava "Let's get down"

"Wait, Ava we need to be caref-" before Connor finished, Biddy dive towards the collapsed house.

Ava jumped off Biddy's back and head towards the collapsed house. "Whirlwind" Ava casted wind magic, Whirlwind skillfully to remove the rubble. After a few seconds, Ava and Connor saw a perfectly okay crib with a baby inside.

"A baby girl. It's been 2 months since the attack but she looks fine and healthy," said Ava.

"How do you know it's a baby girl? She looks like a boy to me," said Connor.

"See the eyes? That's a girl eyes. A really beautiful eyes," said Ava.

"Hmm~ whatever but this is really weird, how can she still stay alive without water and food for 2 months?" said Connor.

Ava lifts the baby girl and bring the baby girl to her eye level and the baby girl smile and cutely chuckling. Ava eyes sparkling.

"Why no one found this baby? We easily found her. She looks find, the crib as well. Could the crib be a high grade magical item?" Connor kept talking but Ava didn't listen to him at all. Ava was infatuated by the baby girl cuteness. Connor checked the crib but it was just a normal crib.

"Let's adopt this baby," said Ava

"I'm sure her family all died from the monster attack and you can see yourself how we found her. If they are searching for her, they can easily find her," said Ava.

"Even if you want to adopt her, you can't. You are single. You are not married. When people in the city knew about this, they will talk behind you a lot and your family reputation will take a hit. You are from noble family and a popular one too," said Connor.

Ava was thinking something and looked Connor straight to his eyes. "Let's get married. You, Connor with me," said Ava while smiling.

"When we get back to Eplia City, we will tell them we got married two years ago. We get lonely during our trip and hit it off with each other and fall in love. We will say that this baby girl is our daughter, I give birth to her a few months ago," said Ava while grinning.

"No, I don't want to do this. Your parents will kill me. I'm your father's disciple and if I agree to do this with you that means I betray your father, my master. Your parents dote you and no one will believe this because everyone knows that you are not interested in relationship," said Connor panicked.

"Don't worry I'll protect you. About the relationship stuff, people can change you know. So, it will be fine. Moreover, people won't doubt us at all. See this girl's hair. It is brown. My clan's hair. They will believe she's my daughter, right, Avery," said Ava while casually naming the baby girl.

"Brown hair is common even among the commoner and why did you casually name the baby girl?" said Connor.

"Stop complaining… Ah~ could it be that you get jealous I name our daughter from my name. Then I will name her Connie. Sound a lot like you name," said Ava.

"I'm not jealous and she is not our daughter and I never say I agree to this," Connor retorted.

"Stop complaining like a girl. You are a man. Be a man and accept my proposal," said Ava. Ava walked towards Connor and with her index finger, she caressed Connor's chest and tried to act sexy to seduce Connor. "You have a crush on me for a long time right? I know," Ava whispered to Connor's ear.

Connor's body stiffed and his face blushed. "S-S-St-Stop doing this. Fine, fine. I will do what you want but if your parent flip and try to kill me, I will tell them everything," said Connor agreed to Ava proposal.

Ava faced turns bright as she was happy that Connor agree and she will have a cute daughter.

Fast forward to present time, a week has passed since the earthquake. With the help from the Stries Clan, the collapsed houses were cleaned and removed in a day. Thanks to that, in a week, a lot of houses were finished rebuilding and more were underway but for Ethan, rather than rebuilding his house from the money he got from the Stries Clan, he decided to add more money to build a stronger, sturdier, bigger and more comfortable house. Money is not a problem. He can hunt monsters for high grade drops and sell them to Haruto. In three days, he had more than enough money to build the house he wanted. At first he decided to build a 2-storey house but the builder said with his money, he can build a 3-storey house. Ethan than thought of something else. He said to the builder he will postponed to build his house for now. The builder said ok and asked Ethan when he decide to rebuild his house back. The builder was nice to Ethan because Haruto introduced Ethan to the builder.

Ethan now have a new resolution in becoming stronger. At the beginning, he wanted to become adventurer to avenge his family but now he needed to become stronger to find Eliya. He also thought that if he found Eliya he wanted Eliya to live in a beautiful and comfortable house. He halted his house rebuilding because he decided to collect more money and buy a big land to build big house with big yard. He checked the real estate agency and found a plot of land at section 3. Each area of Eplia city were divided into 3 sections. Section 3 was where commoners live. Section 2 was where the rich family lived and Section 1 was where the nobles live. The land he found were good enough for him to build a big house.

While he went hunting monsters for their drops, whenever he found an animal, he will tame them to increase his mastery of his tame skill. Tame skill was part of beast element and since he didn't have beast element talent, tame mastery will take a long time to be mastered.

"I think this will be enough for today. Status," Ethan summoned his status info.

"Only INT and WIS has max. I guess it's true that once you reach Level 3, the stats increase will be slower. I've been killing monster without stopping for the past few days and my stats only increase a little," Ethan disappointed. "Status skills."

Let see here, Null: Tackle 15, Null: Stab 10, Null: Rush 7, Null: Punch 1, Martial Arts: Jab 1, Martial Arts: Straight Punch 1, Fire: Fire ball 1 and Fire: Fire Spit 1. You already start killing red magpie and boxing squirrel?" asked Haruto.

"Wafu and Gooey help a lot. They are really strong. I got lucky with everything that I kill today," said Ethan.

"Okay but be careful. I know you want to get stronger but don't rush," Haruto worried. "What skill do you want me to get?" asked Haruto.
