[A-class Interdimensional Mechant]

[Description]

They are a race of interdimensional beings whose physical appearance resembles that of a human's pair of hands with pale white skin and 10 fingers on each hand. They can pierce through the veil of dimensions and sustain themselves through traveling worlds for trade and exchange.

What was humanity's biggest innovation? Was it fire? Was it the use of tools to farm and hunt? Was it the industrial revolution? Or was it the dawn of nuclear bombs and missiles? No. For Patty, the best thing that humanity had ever come up with was in the form of online shopping and home delivery.

People used to travel hundreds of miles by horse just to experience a new market from a different country. People used to risk their lives and travel through the harsh seven seas for months on end, just to buy some spices on the other side of the world. And the worst of all, people used to go out of their houses and drive to a shopping mall to buy new tools and they used to go out to restaurants and order food.

Aside from the internet, the greatest thing to ever happen in this world was instant online shopping. You can buy a new refrigerator and have it delivered on your doorstep with just one click of a button. You can buy freshly-made cuisine food and have it delivered to your door in just a few minutes. You can buy just about anything you can think of, in the comfort of your own home.

Now, the system gave him a minion that did just that, and upgraded it to the next level. He can now buy all the things he didn't even know existed from different worlds and dimensions. It was like his eyes were finally opened up and he could see new colors.

Energy market

Same-world market

Otherworld market

Apparently, there were three kinds of market he could access at the moment. The energy market was the first one there, so he decided to examine that one first. Was it talking about the same energy that was in the system? The same-world market and the otherworld market were easy to guess how it worked, but the energy one was filled with mystery.

And when he clicked on it, a new page popped up again.

[Energy Market]

[Energy: 100/100]

10 Yi Power = 10 Energy

100 Minion Growth Crystals = 10 Energy

100 Ether = 10 Energy

100 Credits = 10 Energy

1x Summon Scroll = 10 Energy

Unlike normal markets which used money as currency, it seemed that this energy market took his energy as if it was legal tender. It could be a very dangerous or a very fortunate thing for Patty. After all, if he got too greedy and bought a lot of things from this store, then his energy levels could go dangerously low. He didn't want to do that since death could be a real possibility of what would happen if his energy levels dropped below zero.

But if he only used excess energy, then this store could become really useful. He needed to be real picky on what he buys and how much he spends on this market.

He could buy 10 Yi Power from the store in exchange for 10 energy. Although 10 Yi Power could make him 10 times more powerful than he was now, it wasn't that wise to spend 10 energy on it. After all, he was getting 22 Yi Power a day from the Tendora minion, so he wasn't really lacking in that aspect.

He could buy 100 Minion Growth Crystals, which was useful. The Tendora and the Muscava Cyclo proved their worth with their respective abilities. The Tendora would always make his body 22 times stronger than a normal human each day and that would only increase as its level increases. The Muscava saved his life multiple times and upgrading it would increase the time he could use the slow time ability. If he had extra energy, he would definitely buy a few growth crystals.

He could also buy Credits and Ethers for energy. Since he still didn't know how he could use these materials, he definitely wouldn't spend any energy on it.

Then his eyes looked to the last option. His jaw dropped and he couldn't think for a while. HE CAN BUY SUMMON SCROLLS WITH ENERGY?!?!

That was a revelation that suddenly woke up the gambler's blood in his body. It felt like lightning going through his spine, then to his brain, then to his hands as it subconsciously moved and tried to press the exchange button even before he had a chance to think about it. But thankfully, he was able to stop himself before he used up all his energy to buy as many scrolls as he could.

But even his reasonable side was tempted to do it.

With just the small, small price of 90 energy, he can buy 9 summon scrolls. If he used up all nine scrolls at the same time, he would get an extra summon for free. With 90 energy, he can get 10 Summon Scrolls! That was the deal of a lifetime! Who wouldn't take that deal?

In truth, he was addicted. Just the animation of the falling meteors and the anticipation of getting a really high-class minion was keeping him up at night and making him dream of having unlimited summon scrolls. He just wanted to spend his days just laying in bed and just summoning minions every hour, every minute, and every second.

Even though he had only summoned 4 minions as of now, all of them had changed his life drastically. The moment he summoned those minions, it was as those minions lowered the difficulty level of the game called life. It literally made everything about living his life so much easier.

The Tendora made him stronger, the Muscava made his body move faster, the Flag Bearer didn't really do much as of now but it could prove useful later, and now the interdimensional merchant opened up a whole new level of online shopping.

Each of his minions were completely different from each other, and with each summon, he finds out how many diverse powers he could gain from each one of them. He was so curious to find out how many more types of minions he could get from the summonings. It has gotten to the point where he didn't care if he got an F-class or a D-class minion, he just wanted a new minion.

As he employed more and more minions, the easier his life became. His ultimate dream right now was to have so many minions that they would eventually automate everything in his life. He didn't have to leave his house–he didn't even have to leave his bed. He could do everything, buy everything, and improve everything just from his minions.

But he had the same problem as he had in real life. He was poor. He wanted to buy so much stuff online, he wanted to buy so much food from delivery apps, but he simply didn't have money to do that. He didn't even have money to reconnect his electricity if it weren't for Sam's generosity.

Even now, he wished he had unlimited energy. Unfortunately, he only had 100 energy every day. Yes, he could just use 90 energy to buy 9 summon scrolls, but if an emergency happened or if he had to go to school, then he would only be left with a dangerous 10 energy left. It simply wasn't feasible.

Thankfully, he had weekends and holidays. During those days, he could just stay at home all day, without even using any energy. Then at the end of the day, he could spend all of that on buying summon scrolls! He could just imagine that moment, when he would instantly gain 10 new minions, his excitement would blow up so much that his heart would stop.

During Saturdays and Sundays, he could potentially get 20 summons! He finally understood the importance of energy. Energy wasn't made for walking hundreds of miles, it wasn't made for growing your muscles through exercise–energy was made to buy Summon Scrolls!

Unfortunately, during school days, he would have to wish that at the end of the day, he had extra energy to buy a few summon scrolls.

But wait. What if he could get more energy? He seemed to remember the moment when he used the massage chair.

Didn't it show that he would regenerate energy as long as he was in the massage chair?
