2 Izuku Midoriya | Ch. 1

Hey, I guess I will explain my childhood up until the U.A. entrance exams a.k.a the present. Well, my childhood wasn't the best. I got the worst combo of my mom and dad's quirk, I can't be in water without getting hypothermia. I also can't retain heat in anyway because that's how I drag stuff towards me. It is a strong quirk but I am functionally quirkless, since I was also diagnosed chronically sick since 4. This is how my 4 year old life was, me and Katsuki were still friends... until that one day on the log at least. I guess I will explain that day in depth.

Katsuki fell into the water off the log and it looked like a long fall. So like the energetic boy I was back then, I rushed after him.

Katsuki: "Forward march here we go! Members of the agency Bakugo- AAAH!"

Katsuki fell off the log, so I went down there to help. I was always so emotional and empathetic back then.

Izuku: "Are you okay Kacchan?!"

I ran down into the water and asked holding my hand out, Katsuki looked so confused and offended, but then blood started dripping from my mouth. Katsuki's face transformed to that of a scared one as more and more blood came from my mouth. I collapsed and woke up in a hospital, apparently, I actually went into a coma for 6 months and I was now 6 years old. Nothing was wrong with me, or that's what they thought. My sickness actually worsened and we only found out when I was consistently coughing up a lot of blood often.

My mom brought me to the hospital quickly and I described my symptoms to the doctors and they identified this as stage 2. I have constant stomach aches, as well as cough up blood often, Insomnia and I get fevers that make me bed ridden. With my pills those fevers almost never happen unless I use a ton of energy or sit in water too long. At night, I take sleeping pills and when I wake up I take stuff for my stomach and the fevers. I was bullied often for my weak body and "quirklessness" and in turn became quiet and reserved. I also found a love for old video games, which help with my anxiety. Katsuki and I drifted apart because I became more of a shut-in.

After the bullies realized they won't get a real reaction from me, they left me alone. Around 8 me and Katsuki got a little closer. We started hanging out more because our parents did. I was kinda apathetic at that point, so I just sat on his bed and answered with noises. Katsuki started asking about the games I play and I explained them, he called me a geek but still listened. We kind of just started to understand each others body language and how we spoke. Like Katsuki's yelling and insults and my quietness and noises/slow blinks. We understand everything about each other and are basically brothers at this point. Katsuki takes care of me when I start coughing up blood, which, funny story when I first did that again when we rekindled our friendship, he thought it was gonna be like last time and ran out crying yelling for mom. Who was, obviously, worried at his crying and yelling but realized the situation when she saw me calmly playing my 3DS with blood on my chin and clothes. She explained everything to Katsuki and he suddenly was overprotective and encouraged me, despite my sickness and quirk situation, to be a hero as long as I was safe and he was with me often. That brings us to today, the U.A. entrance exams.

(3rd POV)

Katsuki and Izuku were on the way to the entrance exams. Izuku was staring at his 3DS while "talking", it was just Katsuki yelling and him making noises as answers. How it is usually basically, but they of course understand each other.

Katsuki: " I BET YOUR NERVOUS! HAH, YOU GEEK?" He states loudly.

Izuku made a noise and Katsuki's face softened and actually admitted to being nervous too. They walked in silence till they got to the entrance exam. Which during the written Izuku looked pale and sickly but finished with confidence in his answers and an hour early.

Present Mic: "You feeling okay little listener?" The loud blonde asked, seeing the boy looked sick. Izuku put a thumbs up looking apathetic as ever.

Present Mic: "Thats what my friend says right before coughing up blood." He looks at Izuku skeptically. Then Izuku coughed up blood and Present Mic froze.

Present Mic: "ARE YOU OKAY?!" He asks obnoxiously loud. Izuku waves his hands in a dismissive manner.

Izuku: "This is normal. I am fine." He says softly and quietly.

Present Mic: "You do look less pale but I'm not sure if I should actually send you back." He contemplated.

Izuku: "Don't worry about it. It is just my body getting rid of the excess blood since it pumps top much." He explained quietly while kicking the ground.

Present Mic: "Fine. Just tell me if you feel worse." He says skeptically.

During the explanation for the physical exam, Izuku played his 3DS and he was sitting next to Katsuki which made him feel better. Then a rude blue haired boy spoke up.

Blue: "Excuse me but on the handout there are 4 types of villains! If this is a mistake made by U.A. then that is an embarrassment to the to hero school and you! With the frizzy green hair! If you are just gonna be on your phone the whole time and not take this seriously then leave! You are a distraction!" He yelled.

Katsuki: "OH FUCK OFF! HE HAS A REASON HE IS PLAYING THAT, SO SIT YOUR ASS DOWN!" Katsuki yelled back.

The blue haired kid let out an indignant noise and sat down. Unluckily for Izuku he didn't have Katsuki to cover him when he coughed blood. So he did so in a large crowd of people, then that blue haired spoke up again.

Blue: "You are even drinking before the test! What a disgrace to U.A.!" He jumped to conclusions. Again. How the hell did he get to the conclusion that this is a drink?

Izuku just stared at the boy who got uncomfortable and turned away. Then Present Mic yelled.

"AND GO! WHAT'S THE MATTER THERE IS NO COUNTDOWN IN A REAL BATTLE!" He yelled with his quirk.
