Novice Tutorial

(Author's Note: From now on, every dialogues typed in [....] are System Dialogues. Meanwhile the sound effects are played in *....*.)

After I am sent by The Almighty Goddess, the first thing I see when I open up my eyes are forest.

Everywhere I see, the scenery is filled with big trees and green shrubs with some flowers and berries on it.

A fanfare sound is ringing pleasantly in my head.

And after the sound of fanfare that feels similar to the ringing sound effect when you are leveled up in RPG games ended, a melodious female voice that sounds like an oriole singing happily on a bright morning is heard in my head.

[Hello and nice to meet you, Host. I am The Plot Breaker System which is made by The Almighty Goddess to assists you in messing up with the plots of this World.]

"The Plot Breaker System?"

[Yes, Host. As you have guessed already, now you have been sent by The Almighty Goddess to this Anime World.]

 "... Okay..... I have seen a lot of system based power in the anime and novels lately. So, what are your functions?"

[As it says in my name, The Plot Breaker System. I am a system that is made by The Almighty Goddess to give you a Random Reward everytime you change the plot of any animes, mangas and novels in this World. Note that if an anime have different plots than their mangas or novels counterpart, it will take the plot from the one with the most advanced plot at the time when this World is being created.]

"Hoooo..... What an interesting World Setting. And a Random Reward? How much Random is it?"

[To put it simply, the Rewards granted by the System is divided into four ranks: Bronze, Silver, Gold and lastly Platinum. Depending on how much you change the plot in a certain anime, novel or manga, you will get a Random Reward in a certain chance. The default chance is around 10% Platinum, 20% Gold, 30% Silver and 40% Bronze, but depending on how much plot you changed in one go, the chances can be higher or lower. But it's still very much higher than the chances in those black bellied Gacha Mobile Games, am I right, Host?.]

"Yes, yes, it is very much higher. Thank the Almighty Goddess for making me this wonderful system and also for sending me to this Amazing World, too." I said that with a big smile.

[I will sent your thanks to the Almighty Goddess later. For now, do you want to open the Tutorial for Novice, Host?]

"There is such a thing like that? First the Character Creation, now this? Man, this really make it feel like I am playing a game now."

[Aside from watching anime and reading manga and novels, The Almighty Goddess also loves to play games, too. So it's natural that some elements in this World and System are also resembling that from the games. Anyway, do you want to play the Novice Tutorial or not, Host?]

"Of course I will play. I mean, I don't have anything to do anyway for now, right?"

*Ding*

[Affirmative, the Novice Tutorial will now begin. For now, Host, please choose your favourite weapon from among the selection.]

After the voice of system finished talking inside my head, a light blue, half transparent system window pops up in front of my eyes.

I see quite a lot of weapons that can be selected in there.

There are a set of a Short Sword and a Shield, a Pair of Dual Blades, a Long Sword, a Great Sword.... Man..... there are so many kind of swords here.... this can't be getting anymore cliche.

Oh, there is also a set of a Lance and a Great Shield, a Spear, a Halberd, a Pole Axe, a Scythe and a Great Axe. Quite a lot of polearms we have there.

As for the ranged weapons, we have a Shortbow, a Long Bow, a Cross Bow, and a Bowgun. Each weapon comes with their own respective ammunition.

There are also some exotic weapons like a Giant Boomerang and a Hunting Horn from Monster Hunter franchise, too.

But No Insect Glaive, Gunlance, Switch Axe and Charge Blade though.

[You can only select among basic weapons in Novice Tutorial, Host. If Host want a more advanced and sophisticated weapon, you can try getting one of that from the Random Rewards, make them yourself, or buy them from the market in this World. But I remind you though, that the Items awarded by System are always in top-notch quality. So you should think again if you really want to waste your money by buying something you didn't really need and can be gained by messing... I mean, changing the Plots in this World.]

"Okay, thank you for the reminder, System. I think I will pick the Short Sword and Shield for Tutorial."

[Good choice, host. Sword and Shield have the most balanced attack and defence and also among the easiest weapon set to use by beginners. Although the Short Sword didn't have attack power as big as other weapons, but it have a great balance and also is light weight, making it easy to use and quick to swing. The Shield that comes with this set also provides good protection for blocking enemy's attacks. You can take out the Weapon now by opening the Inventory Menu on the System and clicking the box containing the item with your hand. After you get the hang on using this System, Host can simply willed the items you want to take out from Inventory to directly appears in your hands or on the area surrounding you.]

While listening to the System's explanation I take out the item from the Inventory by opening the Inventory as the System instructed.

After that I immediately try taking it out by simply willing it to appear in my hands already equipped instead of clicking it with my finger.

The short sword instantly appeared unsheathed and gripped firmly on my right hand.

And the shield also appears already strapped comfortably on my left arm.

"Wow, simple and easy. Good."

[Good job using your willpower to manipulate the items in Inventory. As expected of the Host being an old timer otaku filled with creative imagination.]

"I will take that as a compliment."

[Next on to the Tutorial, please search the monsters around you and kills 10 of them to proceed to the next Phase. This area Host are currently in is a forest located near a City. Only low level monsters are living in this area, so it is safe to use this area as your training ground.]

Then, without further ado, I try to go around and explore my surroundings.

Oh, I found eight caterpillar monsters nibbling around on the shrubs near me.

Their form looks like a chubby, spiky Fabre from the game Ragnarok Online.

I hope they are also as weak as their appearance.

They are quite big for a caterpillar, though, each of them are at least as long as my arms and their chubby body is as thick as my head.

There are eight of them so I need to quickly kill them all in one fell swoop.

Taking a deep breath, I readied my combat stance and quickly run over to the caterpillar located to the nearest of me.

Our distance is only 1 meter apart, I leap at it in a second and quickly slash my sword while aiming to separate its head with its body.....

Ragnarok Online is the First MMORPG I played in my childhood.

That's why that game have a Special Place in my Heart.
