14 A spark of light

{A/N: I took a bit of a break to clear my mind, I started watching The boys a fire show IMO, anyway, enjoy the chap, and also hello to my new readers! Btw...ya'll heard the news?}

The book of improvement, a phenomenon that defies the very logic of well...everything. A book that can see the past, present, and future.

A book that can make even a rat become the very definition of perfect.

Do you want to become a football star? DONE! The book of improvement can help you! Do you want to become a swimmer that can swim faster than an Indo-pacific fish? DONE! Have a bigger cock? Well...that might be a bit difficult but with a few powers, it can be done!

But...how? What is the book of improvement? Who created it? And how? Did it create itself? A god maybe? Maybe destiny and Fate itself?! Questions, questions, and questions, but...no answers...

But really...the number one question we should be asking ourselves is...why did it choose Mineta? A perverted, cold, greedy, selfish bastard. I mean, why not Izuku? Or Shoto?

Why not even someone from another universe like Tanjiro? It's obvious that The book of improvement wasn't created in the My Hero Academia universe. If All for one were to know of such a book, he'd basically nut himself right there and then. He'd go crazy trying to somehow get a hold of it.

back on topic, if The book of improvement did have the choice to choose someone, or whoever had the power to give away The book of improvement, why Mineta? Doesn't add up now, does it? Too many unknown variables that come with it as well, it knows the existence of literally everything. If the book of improvement had a mind of its own, and you asked it a question, it would answer instantly.

At first, Mineta didn't have much time to really dive into the many different parts of the book, but now, he knows every. Single. Part.

[The main pages]

The main pages of the book of Improvement are where, the book interacts with Mineta, where it tells Mineta how it finished a page of its life, grants whatever it wants, and waits until Mineta finishes another page of i's life for more pages to appear.

[The table of contents]

Mineta didn't know this but after the sports festival, something similar to the table of contents appeared right behind the cover of the book, Page one of Mineta's life was called, 'The boy whose Journey began', page 2 although was, ???, which makes sense since now he's on the second page of his life.

[The Glossary]

Ah yes, the Glossary, also known as the pages where he can buy items, skills, power, etc. As you can guess, it goes like the alphabet, so a, b, c, d, and so on, which is actually quite helpful, because Mineta knows a lot of power from his past life by name.

Tell me, do you guys want to know what the book of improvement is? Well, I can't do that but...I can give you guys...a very short and small glimpse...of how...it all began...

Marvelous...that would be the only word that anyone would think if they were to be able to witness "The lake of Souls".

In a void, a space where not even the gods are capable of entering, there is one of the most beautiful sights there is to existence, a lake made of orbs that are the souls to every existence in....everything and everywhere.

This lake was not small, oh no no. This lake was the size of universes and galaxies, not even gods could measure up to it. If you were to multiply the sun by 100 it would still look like nothing but a pebble compare to this lake.

The lake didn't just flow in a straight line, it had twirls, and every orb had different colors, colors even humans haven't created or thought off, colors that mortals couldn't comprehend. Each soul didn't only belong to a human, some came from animals, plants, anything with life has a soul, even gods. And once they died their souls went here.

As the flow of the river continued, each soul had its own emotion, some were happy, others sad, others furious, and some saddened.

'I wish I could have been taller'

'If I lived in the DXD universe I could have pulled all the girls'

'When I reincarnate I'll invent the greatest thing ever known to man'

'If only I worked harder'

'If I had any power I could have lived much better'

And thoughts like these continued...for eternity, no human, no animal, no one could ever be completely happy, no one is capable of such a feat, it's just simply not possible, there is always something to...improve.

For eternity it continued, animals, humans, monsters, even souls of gods, each one of them continued to have such thoughts, and then, above the lake of souls, a small light, as small as an atom, appeared.

...

Well, that is all you can get for now, any more and...anyways The book of improvement originated from the insecurities, wishes, goals, dreams, and more, of creatures from all over...well everywhere, literally everywhere.

Why did it choose Mineta? The future will only tell.

Is there more out there? Maybe, maybe not.

"I finally fully understand you" Mineta muttered while laying on his Futon in the training room. He had spent about 2 hours, finally getting to understand a few things about The book of improvement, he still had many questions, why was he chosen? How does it hold such power? Etc, but he could only go to sleep, dreaming of Mei's beautiful body knowing tomorrow, while going to U.A to report the situation to Nezu.

He'll get to get a glimpse and even a little taste, of her majestic body...

Just as he fell asleep Minutes later, the phone that was beside him lit up in a dim light, and a text message appeared.

[Mei: Goodnight]

{A/N: I'm sure ya'll are surprised by the small chap in which all I did was lay information on you guys on, well, I'm going to be making these chaps, in which there just going to be little chaps about some specific things, kind of like fillers in anime only these actually happen, some will be about the relationship between Mineta, some about future characters, etc, it will vary from many things, I'm sure you guys will enjoy them, No worries though, these chaps will not interrupt intense chaps, or the flow of the story!}
