I felt my blood freeze as something penetrated my soul. "It's smaller then I thought."
'Get away.' Was all I could think as I clambered father up the stalactate.
"It didn't become paralyzed? well that makes thing annoying."
'How are they going to get me up here?' I still didn't feel safe especially given his lukewarm reaction to me not falling.
I never thought about how big this cave is. Just from the height from floor to ceiling is at least 8 meters and from me to the exit is probably 30 meters. 'They can't jump that high right?'
One of wolves faced a wall and waited for something. 'What?'
"Do it." I watched as the wolf facing the wall charged into the wall making the entire cave shake violently.
'Crazy wolf!' I heard the stalactate I was clinging to cracking so switched to one closer to the entrance.
The one was on fell crashing into the nest I made and I thought of a simple plan. 'I hope this works.'
"Keep going." I shifted over several stalactates to get ready.
The wolf did the same thing causing the same thing to happen, I switched grabbing spots and a watched it fall towards the one giving orders. "Which one is fall-AHG?!"
I felt disgust as he struggled with the piece of stone stuck in his back. 'I... caused that.'
"Brother! I didn't see it went over you!" He went over to his brother and pulled the makeshift spear out. 'But he'll definitely die if you do that.'
I watched in horror as the giant hole in the wolf shot out tendrills of flesh have wrapped over the wound causing it too be closed in a manner of seconds and he stood up with nothing wrong besides a spot of short fur. "You idiot! where did it go!"
I broke line of sight by jumping from point to another. 'What now? they can't die.'
"Keep destroying them, it can't hide if there's nowhere to hide." The whole cave was trembling as the hard head wolf started hitting the wall over and over.
The stalactates fell one after the other, the wolf started from the back of the cave to the front letting me completely avoid getting caught. 'Do they plan to get rid of all of them?'
"Hurry up I'll get the core as soon I get a good angle." I went slowly went to the entrance to get as far away as I could.
'I should leave right?' I was about to jump out when my blood chilled prevented me from jumping out.
I was unable to explain why I felt that until a hissing came from infront of me. "Come on, if it's somewhat intelligent it'll try running away."
'There's another waiting for me.' I felt the same kind of bloodlust coming the voice as the wolves.
'Am I going to die?' I was stuck between two predators with my hiding places dwindling.
"I think it went to the entrance." I could tell they were almost directly below me.
I started to feel exhausted so I climbed to a spot nestled between two stalactates. 'Please work...'
I tried to sink my claw in ceiling but they slipped against the surface. 'No please.'
I kept trying as the wolves started to argue about whether or not I left the cave. 'What should I do?
My claws finally dug into the rock as I heard scuttling and so did the wolves. 'Yes!' "A bastard spider stole it!"
letting my body go limp my claw sunk a bit deeper into the rock, this is what it was made for after all. 'Xarana would happy I finally did this. too bad I'll be dead before she can see.'
"It didn't seem to have have the core." I saw one wanted to leave while other didn't.
"Well I think it's with that damn bug." I saw one leave probably to sniff around for me and the bug.
I wrapped my wings around myself to hopefully hide better. 'Is it getting colder?'
I saw the remaining wolf was scanning the ceiling to find me. 'How much longer will Xarana take?'
"She'll be back soon, why couldn't it just fall down." I hoped the wolf was right but my body was shaking from the bloodlust and cold.
'I guess I im going to freeze to death.' I stayed in the ceiling, they didn't find me but I was reaching the limit of my week old body.
"Damn it, we're leaving!" The wolf ran out as I heard a whooshing.
'They finally left.' I think was running on adrenaline because I feel so tired now.
My vision started to get fuzzy and my hearing was fading. 'Was I this weak? I didn't even get hurt.'
'I should have called Xarana... mother once.' I was jostled around before my consciousness faded entirely.
