1 Chapter 1: This Is Different

Chapter Start!

In bed lies Leah Goldman, Reading a novel.

Come on, I already know what's gonna happen! Phoebe is gonna end up with the prince, Sebastian right? I had high hopes for Liam. Man~ Well I guess you can't always win. Guess I really do go for the second main leads too much. The story "Kiss me, My Love" is something I liked. The ending wasn't bad I just wanted Liam to get some love~

Well since I finished it I better check what time it is. Wait it's this early in the morning!? I have to go to work! It seems that I have read the night away. Ahh, I hope I get there on time. I better not be late today too. Yawn~

Leah walks out of her apartment and into the small city alley. The alleyway isn't too bright in the morning. Leah stumbles a bit as she yawns. Her eyes close as she yawns.

Stab, Stab, Stab, Stab, Stab! Five gashes are made into Leah's gut.

Leah's eyes widen. She looks at her gut. She feels intense pain. She looks at the person who just stabbed her. The person is wearing dark clothing and a mask. Her vision blurs as she falls to the ground.

Did I just get stabbed?

Leah falls to the ground. The person runs off in a rush.

I just got stabbed to death.

Leah bleeds out in the alley and dies.

"Wake up human!" A voice calls out to Leah.

I just died right? So is this heaven or hell?

Leah seems to be inside a large white space of some kind.

"Neither" A voice answers.

Wait you can hear my thoughts!? Nevermind I'm not surprised. I mean I just walked out the door today to die upon walking in the alley.

"That's exactly why you're here, Leah Goldman. 21 years old, worked a part-time job as a cashier, rented an apartment in the city. All just to die after stepping out of your apartment." Says the voice.

I know that all too well. So what are you, some type of God? Why am I here?

"Correct. I am the god, Trial. You shall be given a second chance to redeem yourself. Your death was deemed pitiful. You will be sent to the other world. One where you have the advantage for a better life. Your killer awaits you there though." Trial tells Leah.

So I am just going to start another life, okay cool. Wait not okay, not okay! You just said my killer awaits me. So is he gonna like, kill me again?

"I understand it's easier to speak to me in thoughts but your thoughts are starting to bother me human. Yes, your killer awaits you there. As you died they faced the same fate shortly after killing you. They got hit by a speeding car and died." Trial explains.

Haha, karma! that's what you get for killing me! I couldn't be happier.

"I wonder if withering your soul will make those thoughts disappear." says Trial.

Ahh ok! I'm sorry! I'll go to this "other world" quickly!

"Great I've chosen a perfect body for you!" Trial laughs.

Perfect body?

Light starts to swirl around Leah and suddenly the once white floor under her is gone and her sight becomes nothing but darkness. She feels as if she's blindly falling from the sky.

Ahhh this is terrifying. I don't like this feeling at all-

The feeling stops. Leah realizes she's not feeling the falling anymore. She tries to blink twice. Her eyes open.

"Young lord Liam? You're awake! How do you feel? That was a bad fall you took." An old man seems to be saying all this.

Who in the- Liam!? As in Liam Zero Shiver!? Like him!? I'm Li-am!? I'm him!?

I can honestly say that I've never felt this way before. This is a first, after all, I just changed genders. I don't think I can handle all this.

Then again, surviving as Liam won't be easy. Jeez~ Why did it have to be him? Why not some random girl? Am I truly male now? I guess I am. But now I know what that God means by the place I have an advantage at or something. I was reading his story right before my death!

And if my guess is correct this old guy is Adam View, the butler.

"Yes, I think I hit my head quite hard." Liam smiles.

This is a large field. I think I see his home in the distance. Something just neighed, A horse? It's right behind me. Oh, I'm guessing this is Liam's horse incident? This must be around that part of the story. So I'm around the beginning.

Considering Adam's behavior in the novel I better be careful around him. I recall him being an issue for Liam. I almost forgot that killer is here, He could be reincarnated as somebody here too. I guess I can't help this, I'm just going to have to play it out as Liam here for a while.

"Master, would you mind removing your clothing? I know it's early in the morning but we need to get you out of those dirty clothes. You might have injuries underneath." Butler View says.

Do what!? But I-. This isn't something I feel comfortable with ahh…

"I've got to go!" Liam rushes off in a hurry towards the mansion.

"Wait, master! This is out of the ordinary for master... I've never seen that look on his face." Butler View takes notice.

The look left on Liam's face to Butler View is normally a cold one. Caused by the Butler's only loyalty to Lord Shiver. There is a bit of a rift between the father and son. But the look given to Butler View this time was a smile. An expression that rarely was ever seen on Liam's face. Butler View watches as Liam rushes off to the mansion.

Now hiding in a corner of the mansion is Leah, now known as Liam.

How did I become like this? I'm a guy now right? Ahh, so I just need to get used to this. Let's just take a peek.

Liam unbuttons his shirt and blushes.

"Rock hard firm abs~ I expected this from Liam! I don't see a single scratch, oh I better stop there. I forget how old I am sometimes after all this body is only sixteen right n-" Liam looks up to see a girl staring at him.

"I- I'm so sorry! I'll leave immediately!" The girl runs off blushing.

Well, I must say that I've outdone myself. That girl seemed to be a noble from her outfit too. Sigh~

I think I'll just head back to wherever that butler is.
