Chapter 1: Reincarnation

(Kou) "What happened...? I remember going home with the demo of the latest sled dog game but I can't remember what happened next..."

(???) "You died."

(Kou) "Wha– Who said that?!"

(God) "Do not fear, young one. I am here to help you reincarnate into another life. The one you humans call "God"."

(Kou) "Wait, reincarnation? So I really did die?"

(God) "Yes, I am truly sorry for what happened."

(Kou) "...It's alright. I never did accomplish anything in my old life. There's nothing to grieve for. Not even a family."

(God) "I see you had a hard time."

(Kou) "Yeah. The only thing I loved were wolves. So if there aren't any in this world, I think I'll probably go crazy."

(God) "You're interesting."

[Kou) "Is that so? I'm glad that someone at least found it interesting. I mean, people would only laugh at my love for wolves. They keep saying to "follow the new trend"."

(God) "Now is not the time to be stuck in the past. You've got a chance at a new life. Like with all the others, I will give you one wish."

(Kou) "The others? You mean there are other people who are reincarnated here that is from my world?!"

(God) "Yes. Now please, give me your wish. We don't have much time before your soul disintegrates. If that happens, you won't be able to reincarnate."

(Kou) "I don't want a wish. You can just make me a completely normal wolf."

(God) "No cheat skills? No money or fame? Just a normal wolf?"

(Kou) "Yep."

The God laughed. Oh boy.

(God) "You really are different from the rest! But even so, I want your life to be at least interesting for you. So when you reincarnate, you will be in for a surprise. Although, I don't expect you to notice it right away."

(Kou) "Are you underestimating me?"

(God) "No, no, not at all. Well then, shall I start reincarnating you into your new life?"

(Kou) "Sure, like you said earlier, if I stay here for too long, my soul will disperse and I won't be able to reincarnate."

Oh boy, I wonder what this god has in store for me.
