3 Chapter 3 - Help Menu?

After eating breakfast Yuwei asked Ruo'er to take Kenji and show him around the house. Ruo'er smiled happily and with an excited look in her eyes she took Kenji's hand bowed to her parents and went on their way to tour him around. From the kitchen where delicious food were made to the garden where all sorts of decorative plants reside.

Ruo'er explained the basic rules which Kenji would follow. Like an adult explaining the house rules, Kenji could not help but to smile and look at the small girl infront of him.

Ruo'er then brought Kenji to the storage room where they put all the unusable things they had. A lot of bunch of stuff was there, from used books to old things used for various purposes. It was very dusty and the room was just shouting to be cleaned.

The day' s activity was about to end and their final destination was Wei Liufan's blacksmith shop, when Ruo'er took Kenji to the smith shop she saw Kenji's eyes grew wide and bright.

Kenji saw Liufan working on a project, with eyes full of determination and concentration that Liufan did not notice them looking at him.

Kenji's point of view:

As Ruo'er brought Kenji to the kitchen all sorts of aromatic flavor was in the air, his stomach could not help but growl. Kenji felt a bit of embarrassment as his face turned red the head chef threw him an apple like fruit. He smiled at the he chef and bowed showing his gratitude. Next Ruo'er took him to see the all mysterious garden. The garden was beautiful and with a special calming effect when you see it. Kenji just stared at the beautiful scene in front of him and ask the System "System can you analyze the plants?" a beep sound followed by "insufficient data, the system needs more operational option to perform the host's desired action." His eyes gleamed with excitement and thought what the system said.

When they reached the storage room, Kenji mentally ask the help menu if there were items or materials which he could use to help him level up.

A beeping sound could be heard... Magically writing the question in his help menu option. When Kenji looked at the items in the shelves and looking the floor a scanning like sensation occured. Like classifying items before they were tagged for thier name, tier, and usability.

Written in the help menu was... "insufficient level and intelligence, cannot classify items." A look of astonishment was seen in his eyes. To Kenji's surprise he found out that he could categorize items as well, and he would need a high intelligence stat in order to classify the items properly.

He asked the help menu, "What is the process to acquire experience?" He raised this question in the Help Menu in order to help him raise his level and become stronger.

A Beeping sound was heard again...the Help Menu answered in a report format:

"1. By doing assigned tasked to him.

The System will provide experience as compensation after accomplishing the job."

2. "Acquisition of skill books is also another way to earn experience."

This Depended on his intelligence if he could identity the said item. Appropriate Wisdom is also required in learning the skill book or compatibility of affinity as the case maybe.

3. "Absorbtion of energy source in regards to affinity and compatibility."

Everytime he absorbs energy the System will also award him with experience.

4. "By Accidentally doing a hard Quest without anybody issuing the task".

5. "By..." There were many other ways to earn experience, and was too many to read all at once.

Kenji returning back to reality knew what he had to do. He needed to level up, the faster it was, the better for him. After reading a lot of Wuxia novels of Reincarnated MC and Transmigrator stories Kenji knew that personal strength was the best way to secure his safety.

"Help Menu can the current system upgrade?" Kenji wanted to know if his Help Menu could be upgraded and evolve into something else. A beeping sound was heard and answered "Positive".

Kenji felt excited he knew that the current system he had could evolve further and thus would be better for him. Kenji asked again "Can i use an Inventory system to store items?" A beep sound was heard and a "Positive" answer again. Kenji's follow up question was "Can i store anything in the Inventory System?" A beep... beep sound was heard and a big "NO" was written. Kenji asked again "Can the Help Menu do an in-depth analysis of myself?" System answered him "Cannot execute at the moment but if you have enough experience you may opt to add "Systems Analysis " icon.... Kenji thought of upgarding the System's Analytical options first.

"System how can I use the inventory?"

Help Menu wrote down: mentally visualize 40 slots in which you may store items, any item that is the same in rank and description may be stacked up to 99 times. Reminder: you cannot store any living thing inside. As you level up more spaces will be available and special spaces will available. The storage of food items will be available after you've reached level 10. Reminder: There will always be exceptions to the rule, you will just have to discover them. Items inside your inventory can be extracted the same way you stored it. Kenji saw that they were almost at the Smith Shop and decided to think about the Help Menu System later at night and maybe do a little bit of experiment how to absorb those skill books he saw in his room.

========================================================================Liufan was currently working on a flying sword which is owned by the Wei Main Branch Family. He was so engrossed in his craft that he didn't even noticed his daughter Ruo'er and Kenji entering.

Liufan was an Intermediate level Blacksmith and on the threshold in becoming a Master Blacksmith. Repairing such weapon was easy for him, and this was also the reason why they have better privileges even when they are only a Branch Family.

After finally doing the final repairs on the sword, Liufan saw Ruo'er and smiled at her, he motioned for her to come closer. Ruo'er pulled on Kenji's hand and went to her father.

Liufan said "Father, I have finished taking Kenji around, I want sweets as payment for my hard work" she smiled and put her small tongue out and giggled.

Kenji watching Liufan working on the sword felt excited, he wanted to learn the art of Blacksmithing. With eyes wide open and an O shape mouth, Liufan smiled and told Kenji that starting tomorrow he would go to school. He was enrolled in the normal class while Ruo'er was in the elite class. It was not that they didn't want Kenji to be in the elite class, it was school regulations. If he had the skills Kenji would have the chance to join the elite class by passing the "Elite Class Change Examination " that was given to every normal class students. Kenji thought that everything was fine, being treated good was a blessing. It was also for the best, he wanted to learn how to use his System and being always with Ruo'er might be counter productive.

The introductory of the basic house rules and the tour of the house was done. Kenji went back to his room eager to learn what else can the "Help Menu" do.

Author's Note:

Sorry for the long interval. I was in a slump and did'nt know what to do next. I had my drafts done but after reading it and re-read a few more times i felt it was draging. I wanted to establish the characters first, then some plot and hidden plot. As i wrote down the story, it kinda feels like a loop. So I trashed it and then started again. That's why i used the person's point of view.

Ok as i said, i was slump that's why i started reading new novels to get new ideas or just inspiration. There was a novel for beginners and decided to read the first chapter. Maybe it could answer my dull moments. It said i should have started writing fanfics due the the creations of characters and the world they revolved-in is already establish. I just have to make my story within it.

I decided to write anything my imagination could concoct, yeah i know it's dangerous. (hehehe) just joking.
