1 Chapter 1 - Waiting for the Bus

Name : Kenji

Age : 29 yrs. Old

Work : Office Assistant

As Kenji was getting ready for work, he logged in his online game to get the daily rewards. Made the usual greetings for his guild members and started drinking his morning coffee. While checking out the guild missions available for the day and any news regarding epic missions, new legendary weapons available and any bit of news pertaining to the game's development. Kenji's phone alarm started making noises and alerted him that it was time to take a bath and return to his mundane routine daily worklife.

After getting ready for work Kenji went to his PC and told his friends in the game that he was about to go off-line and that he would be only active in their group chat. Going with his usual route, Kenji was now waiting for the bus scheduled to arrive around 6:30am. When suddenly he saw everything turned black... (For the readers this is where the MC gets hit by a moving vehicle, yup he's just so unlucky to be hit even when all he was doing was waiting for the bus.) A car suddenly hit kenji while he was waiting... As his mind was drifting to oblivion, he heard a faint voice talking about his untimely death and that he was meant to do more in his current life...

When Kenji started to open his eyes, he saw a very unusual scene... The people around him had green dots over their heads and a caption which stated unknown. The people around him were chattering in a indiscernible language. Some looked at him with pitying eyes while most were looking due to their curiosity. While lying down Kenji blinked a few times and looked confused, he saw a horse-drawn carriage with a beautiful flower wood carvings on the door and the symbol of Lin Clan in the center. The air was dusty and Kenji wanted to look to see what person riding the carriage looked like but to his surprise he had a numb feeling and could not move.

The carriage driver was shouting and Kenji saw a yellow color dot above the carriage driver's head using an indiscernible language but Kenji could feel that he was being cursed... Kenji's head started to ache and with an unbearable pain he started shouting. The passenger inside the carriage saw that Kenji was alive, with an indifferent look and a void set of eyes he then told the driver that he was late for his appointed time and that they should start to leave. The carriage driver was still shouting something at Kenji before leaving. The people just watched the entire ordeal as if it was some movie scene.

As Kenji was holding his head, he saw a girl getting closer to him, saying something which he could not understand, as his confused and painful expression was about to take another level. The mother of the girl came and fed him a pill. Kenji looked at the pill and saw a description that stated HP Regeneration duration 7 seconds. Being a gamer in his previous life he knew what it meant, even in a confused state of mind Kenji willingly accepted and ate the pill. After Kenji ate the recovery pill the lady helped him to sit on side of the street and started to check for any broken bones. Kenji while sitting in a lotus position slowly digested the events that had just occurred. It seems as though that he has transmigrated into a boy's body. The memories of the boy slowly merge with kenji's own memories.

Name : Li Chen

Age : 7 yrs. Old

Gender : Male

Occupation : Orphan

With the basic information he received, Kenji knew that he really had transmigrated. With bits of the boys memories finally stabilizing, Kenji finally understood what the lady that helped him was saying.

Name : Wei Yuwei

Age : 30 yrs old.

Gender : Female

Occupation : Herbalist

Yuwei asked him again, how do you feel? It's a miracle that you're still alive and only got concussions and some bruises.

Nobody saw what really happened and only the carriage driver and Kenji knew what really happened , according to Kenji's/ Chen Li's memories he actually walked in front of the moving carriage in order to die. After Chen Li lost his father in the beast horde that destroyed their town, his mother started to get sick due to over exhaustion. After 2 years his mother passed away and he was left all alone. Being 7 years old, he didn't know what to do and hence after a week of starvation not wanting to feel lonely and cold at night and a never ending hunger, Chen Li decided to cross the street while a carriage was passing by thus ending his life.

Up to here Kenji was a bit confused, what happened to him? Did he also die? How did he die? All he could remember was waiting for the scheduled bus ride going to his work and everything started to turn black.

As Kenji slowly opened his eyes, he saw the little girl that came near him and the good lady that fed him some kind of medicine which help him recover and lessen the pain he felt. The first words that came out of his mouth was Thank You, before he could speak again a scrunching sound came from his stomach like another person was inside. Kenji's face turned red like a tomato and didn't know what to do. He started to feel tired and hungry, and there was no strength left in his legs to stand up. He wanted to say something but his stomach made noises again.

Yuwei picked up the light weighted Kenji, she knew that the little boy she was carrying was not a local resident of RedCliff City. Her daughter started to run around Yuwei in circles and started to sing a happy song.

When they got home Yuwei laid Kenji in a spare room and asked her daughter to get a pill bottle in their medicine table.

Yuwei asked Kenji his name and from where he was. Kenji after merging the memories and soul of Chen Li now knew how to speak their native tongue. He answered promptly and said Kenji, seven years old. He told her that his father died from a beast horde attack and destroyed their town, he also mentioned that he and his mother became travelers and because they did not know anyone from the last town they were met with a not so good landlord and their life became harder. When his mother started to get sick the landlord decided to discard her and not treat her sickness. Not knowing what to do, she asked if they could be allowed to travel to the next town. The landlord agreed and immediately put them with the animal caravan going to RedCliff City. Afterwards his mother got worse, after reaching the borders of RedCliff City the person In-charge of delivering the farm animals let them off and they went their separate ways...

It was understood that Kenji had experience a harsh reality, as Yuwei looked at Kenji while he was telling his story she felt warm because the little boy had trusted her and was telling her everything.

Kenji decided to use his old name due to the fact that Chen Li being an orphan now would not have any relatives that could care for him.

If by chance that Kenji did find any of Chen Li's blood relatives he might find himself in worse situation. Remembering Chen Li's memories Kenji decided to start anew.

After feeding Kenji another pill, Yuwei told him that after checking his pulse, she was surprised to know that all Kenji suffered was a mild concussion and some bruises. She somewhat expected to find some internal injury or some life threatening injury but all that was not present.

Yuwei thinking up to here told herself that their fates were intertwined and that Kenji would now belong to the Wei branch family.

Name : Wei Liufan

Age : 36 years old

Gender : Male

Occupation : Blacksmith

Name : Wei Zhi Ruo

Age : 5 years old

Gender : Female

Occupation : Daughter

When Zhi Ruo came back she was with a man and his name was Liufan, husband of Yuwei and the father of Zhi Ruo. Liufan was silent and was listening to the story which Kenji was telling Yuwei. He understood Yuwei very well and thus he cough a bit to break the awkwardness and stated, what's your name young man? Kenji, he replied. Liufan said the following which change Kenji's predicament, Kenji if you are willing our Wei family will welcome you but you cannot put our family to shame but thus help and make it stronger.

Kenji started to tear up, maybe because the soul of Chen Li was touched. Kenji knelt down on the floor and nodded his head furiously and answered positively.

Kenji after being accepted to the Wei branch family was now eating what seems like porridge but mixed in it were herbs that seems to be good for his health.

This is my first time writing so may i be excused for my mistakes.

Just wanted to try and write. To express my imagination in writing.

Kenji is the main protagonist and my OC that's supposed to be a super powerful summoner. But i had second thoughts and turned him into a game type OC that levels up. Maybe i was influenced by the game type light novels that i have read. Yup i also used the death by moving vehicle, i didn't used Mr. Truck kun because i just don't want too hehe...
