1 A New Life? A New Beginning?

"What? Where am I?" Jason thought to himself. He was surrounded by a dark wetness. The last thing he remebered was trying to overcome his iron core tribulation.

He tries to think back on what had happened. Jason came from a world were technology and cultivation flourished hand in hand. He came from a poor family but luckily was able to join a sect due to his outstanding talent in qi sensitivity being noticed by a passing master. While he was bullied by the other sect disciples for his lack of wealth he studied hard and eventually surpassed them. at 25 he was already undergoing the iron core tribulation something only the top geniuses of the world could dream of doing.

Unfortunately during his tribulation one of the people he had forgiven for bullying him in and now though of as a friend killed his fiance, Jasmine, in front of his eyes. Do to his rage he forgot about the tribulation in stead seeking revenge. He was able to take the bastard life but the following lightning took his.

As all these memories came back to him so did the rage and pain as he struggled to move he realized he was stuck and unable to move more than a tiny bit. He also noticed he was far to small and weak to the point he couldn't understand the situation he was in.

Since he couldn't move he activated the Nine Immortals Rebirth technique so he could reach out with his soul to find out where he was and what was wrong with him. The first thing he noticed was his dantian was gone which terrified him. While he could still cultivate his body that was a long and extremely painful path and the best time to start was at 10 and he was 15 years late.

When he checked his body next he realized that his body had changed into that of a baby. this shocked his very being so he flung his soul out of his body to discover what it could.

He looked at the woman, now his mother, and the people around her. There was a 5-6 year old boy and a young man of about 18 on the left. There was also a thirty something year old man who radiated power stronger than even the gold core sect leader of his previous sect.

From the way the group interacted he came to the conclusion that this was his new family. seeing as for now he was at least safe and even if he wasn't he no longer had the energy to cast his soul out he pulled it back in and drifted to sleep.

As Jason awakened again he tried to decide what to do. He already knew from the words his "family" spoke that he wasn't on the same planet he came from because all the people of Junn spoke Earth Sovereign and this was something completely different b not to mention this one seemed far behind in technology. it looked similar to the holo pics of the middle ages of Earth he remebered.

What worried him the most was that only ki barren worlds were known to be lacking in technology but even they were closer to the tech of the 23rd century. He had know idea as to why he couldn't see any tech but he hoped this world was not barren because if it was he would never be able to cultivate again.

Jason chose to put those worries to the side until he checked the energy of the world. As his spirit began to merge with the world around him he thought back on how much this innate concept helped him in his previous life. It was something he tried for the first time as he saw a water lizard change its coloring to perfectly blend with the water. This is what allowed him to sense and absorb so to such an insane amount that attracted his master from before.

He tried to share it with his master but Ye Chen explained that since it was his enlightenment that gave him this ability it. It could not be passed on to another.

As Jason's spirit merged he noticed a myriad of enegies thousand no millions of times more abundant than even in the sect cultivation rooms from his previous world. Unfortunately these energies weren't ki but something unknown.

Only one energy seemed close to the ki he remembered. But it was chaotic and looked like a blood mist in his spirit's eyes. As he reached out to this strange energy and began to pull just a few particles of the mist like substance inside it made home feel as if every cell of his body and soul had red hot needles piercing into them, after which he directly passed out.
