Ghost Town

With sheer determination to get to Polona, Henry found it easy to wake up in the morning. The coldness of the morning helped his desire to be productive, knowing if he started moving, his body would naturally warm up. 

Each day of the journey so far, whenever they woke up the fire had nearly stopped and the edges of the camp were covered in frost.

In the coming weeks, the weather would warm up for the plains, but they would soon be headed for the mountain pass where the peaks were still covered in snow. 

It was going to get colder before it got warmer. Luckily, they had prepared for the worst. 

After the cold trip to Chemois, winters felt overall less biting and he knew they were survivable. 

The cleanup of such small campsites took no time at all. Henry and the commander usually left by the time the sun had barely broken over the horizon.
