We didn't wait for so long when a little stone came flying down the window.
"That was fast!" I exclaimed.
"Go first my princess, I'll be right behind you," I told her but paused when I remembered something.
" You can start my princess, I need to do something urgently," I told her and she started. I noticed how her body trembled and shook at each step as took, I didn't know how to help her so I walked away to do what I wanted to do.
I looked around the room and the only thing which I thought was heavy enough to block the door was the bed, besides it was the only thing in the room.
Aside from giving me unimaginable boldness, his eyes made me reason completely differently. My normal self would have been worried about getting to safety and not worrying about blocking the door with a chair just in case the knights showed up.
It also gave me unimaginable strength. I was surprised that I moved the bed from its original position to the door in one push and then I returned to meet the Princess who had only gone up two knots.
I sighed in frustration because I was worried that Allesio's magic whatsoever was going to wear off so I grabbed the rope and started to make my way up behind the Princess.
"Are you okay my princess?" I asked her, she was not used to that kind of thing so it was not a surprise to me that she was that nervous.
She missed a step and almost fell backward but I caught her with one arm like a romantic hero and she stared into my eyes like I was her Princess Charming who stopped her from falling to the ground.
"Thank you, Sage," she said as she regained her balance and continued the climbing, step by step the Princess made it up to windows l first.
"Wow!" She exclaimed as she squeezed her way through the bars.
" My princess! " I yelled, I was afraid because of how she jumped down.
I quickly climbed up to the window and that was when it became clear to me why she jumped, the window was more like a door to the rooftop so I walked out through the metal bars and just in time because Allesio's powers wore out immediately.
"You two made it out just fine," Adriel uttered and his face looked surprised.
" Exactly! " A voice spoke from behind, at first I thought it was Allesio but Allesio stood next to Adriel.
The entire escape plan was too easy to have believed, everything had worked just perfectly in our favor and I believed the gods wanted us to escape but that was shattered when the King and the lead knights came onto the rooftop.
Allesio drew his sword and so did Adriel, we the girls had no sword so we stayed behind and hoped for the best.
"Drop your sword Azrael," the king instructed the lead knight who was ready for a fight.
"These fellows are not worth fighting are they? They are your men, aren't they? "
" No your majesty, I have never seen these two, I know I have over two hundred men but I believe I can identify any of my men when I see them, also none of my men is foolish enough to plot such a childish escape plan," Azrael scoffed.
"So you wanted them to plot a perfect escape plan?" The king asked him sarcastically, he was the most jovial ruler I had ever seen.
"No, your majesty, I was just-"
"I don't want to hear it," the King Interrupted.
" So you two are here to save the Princess as well, and not too long ago I heard a handmaid here came to do the same. It appears you all love the Princess so much and that makes me wonder, what if I kill her first?"
" Oh, no one is saying anything, I'll take that as a yes then, Azrael, I have changed my mind, we'll kill the Princess first."
I couldn't control the gasp that came out of my mouth at that moment, the princess who ought to have been troubled was not.
"Why haven't you killed me since then?" She blurted out so suddenly that even Adriel was shocked.
" What are you saying, my princess?" He asked her.
" Oh please, shut up Adriel! You are not even worthy to be called a knight, two failed attempts to rescue me and you expect me to trust you? I am not that stupid,"
When I heard those words from the Princess I was shocked for about a minute, I thought she was scared but she didn't look scared when she said those words, she acted as if she meant them.
"My princess I-
" I don't want to hear it, I want the two of you to leave Tersian, return to my father and tell him that I would not return until he divides the kingdom and give Tersian what has been promised to them,"
"And who are you to give commands in front of the King? " Azrael thundered but the King silenced him by raising his hand.
"What are you doing?" He asked her.
Princess Agatha walked past Adriel, gave him a disdainful glare, and whispered,
"You disgust me,"
Then she walked up to the King and held his robe, she stared into his eyes without an iota of fear.
"Do you want half of the kingdom or not?"
"I'll make this easy for you, once you get what you want, you'll free me and all my people, and for now, I do not want to keep in a secret chamber on top of the palace, I want to be treated as Royalty if you refuse, then I assure you-
"Say no more!" The king shut her out.
"If it will work as you have said then I agree, but know this, once I sense that you are lying to me, it's death is that understood? "
" Glady my king," she said and placed a kiss on his cheek.
I was disgusted, I didn't know what she was doing but I did not like it.
"Don't do that!" The King pushed her back, I have a son that you may want to meet,"
"And as for you two, you are free to go,"
" I am not leaving without the Princess! " Adriel yelled and dashed towards the king with his sword.
