13 Chapter 12: He Stayed

Hanuel completed washing the dishes and Hyunjin was watching TV, unknowingly Hanuel started thinking what if Hyunjin wasn't by her side, he's always there for her since that day. He takes care of her and babies her a lot. She would lie if she says, she didn't like it. She loves it when Hyunjin babies her and takes care of her small things, his small gestures makes her heart flutter.

She went to sit on the sofa; Hyunjin looked at her, "do you feel better now?" he asked her and she nodded. "What do you want to do now?" she asked him. "I don't know"

"Umm, I also don't know" she sighed

"But Hanuel, I really want to ask you something, why do you always choose to suffer alone? like why? when you have someone you can rely on then why suffering alone? If you think if you don't have someone then I am here, please I am there for you; I will be there for you. Looking at you like this make me sad and it's hard to see you like this, you are always that sweet and bubbly girl."

"Hyunjin, I can't. I may seem sweet and bubbly to you but there are times I want to leave because I make it hard for people-

"I told you you have me, remember that from now on, why don't you understand?"

"Hyunjin, thankyou but-

"No thankyou and but, I am there for you that's it."

"Okay, fine. Now let's watch a movie and you will choose a movie cause I can never win against you anyway"

"fine."

They started watching movies and laughed and Hanuel cried in few scenes too. Hyunjin teased her a lot, after they watched the movie, Hanuel looked at the watch, it was 8 pm.

"Hyunjin, let me make dinner for us."

"are you sure? you know how to cook?" he teased her

"Yah, I love your cooking that doesn't mean that I don't know how to cook; ok? you better shut your mouth Hwang Hyunjin"

"Ayyy, don't tell me you make poison because I don't want to die this soon" he laughed

"You!" Hanuel went back to the place where Hyunjin and she started hitting him, Hyunjin held her hands and stopped her; he stood up "Now try" he was holding her hands firmly.

"HYUNJIN!"

She was about to hit him again but Hyunjin swapped their places and pushed Hanuel on the sofa, Hyunjin was still holding her hands and Hanuel was on sofa; specifically under him. Hyunjin looked at her and she was staring at him, Hyunjin's gaze went down to her lips; even he doesn't know what he was thinking. Hanuel was holding her breathe, Hyunjin was leaning closer bit by bit, they heard the doorbell ring, Hanuel panicked and pushed him and got up.

"I-I am going to open the door and you can wait here" she was flustered and she wanted to hide her blush. Once Hanuel left, Hyunjin sat there thinking what was actually going inside his head. He was thinking to- kiss- her-? really? he was about to lose his controls. He took his phone and was about to start playing games, he wanted to distract himself from thinking the possibilities. Soon he heard voices, he could recognize Minnie's voice but another was of a guy? he couldn't recognize the guy's voice.

Three of them walked towards the living room, where Hyunjin was sitting, then he saw Hanuel, Minnie and the guy was... Samuel? their senior back in high school.

"Sunbae?" he got up from the sofa

"Hwang Hyunjin?" Samuel asked back, surprised because of Hyunjin's presence.

"You still remember me? It's been like two years already"

"you also remember me sunbae, see" hyunjin walked up to Samuel and hugged him.

"Guys we brought dinner with us, what do say? let's dig into food, I am already hungry." Minnie said, all of them looked so happy, it was like they all needed this small get-to-gather

"Let me set up the plates, go and sit on dinning table." Hanuel said and smiled

"Let me help you" Minnie went with Hanuel, she looked at her bestfriend, the smile Hanuel had, she wants to protect to it at any cost, if she cries that hurts Minnie the most, and same goes for Hanuel. These two are eachother's comfort, eachother's home.

After dinner, they all talked how was their day, Minnie told how she met Samuel today and how packed their classes were today, they wanted to come home early but they got some extra work from professors and Samuel decided to wait for Minnie and that's how both of them ended up together at Hanuel's home directly after university. They were just a bunch of teenagers who are having fun, living as if it's their last day. Time flies so fast when you're together with your loved ones, you just don't realize but how times flies so fast. Every second you spend with your loved ones are always precious, because you never know how and when you will start missing them, and once you miss them you crave to see them and it starts hurting.

It was soon 10pm, it was getting late. Being an university student and growing up, you get more pressure, assignments and more things to discover. You have to keep going despite how busy you're and never give up, because you have a dream to achieve. You don't realize but you are already going in that flow.

"Hanuel, it's getting late, I need to go because I have morning classes tomorrow along with assignments, I wish I could stay here and have some fun but I can't. I am so sorry" Minnie hugged her tight, "Why are you sorry, it's fine and you all should get going because it's late. And let me know once you reach home, okay?" Hanuel let go of her warmth.

"We will be going now, take care Hanuel," Minnie said, Haneul looked at hyunjin, thinking he would leave too. Hyunjin mouthed "I will stay here" Hanuel was surprised, Samuel and Minnie waved for the last time and left. Hyunjin closed the door, both of them forgot what happened before Minnie and Samuel came.

"You won't go home? It's getting late."

"Going home and leaving you alone? Never, I won't repeat that mistake again Hanuel." Hanuel understood what he was referring to

"I am all good, don't worry and I won't do anything like that again." she spoke but she was unsure herself, he mentioned what happened last time and that time, she also didn't know what happened to her and why she did, she just knew she wanted to get rid of everything. All the emotions that she was feeling, she wanted to get rid of everything and leave. But right now, she was again unsure of herself, her emotions were being a mess again, she was trying to supress her emotions at the same time she was trying not to supress her emotions.

Hyunjin knew her, her one look, he can identify that she is struggling really bad.

"sorry for this but no, it's not that I don't trust you but I don't want to leave you alone tonight, I just don't want to and it's getting late, guess we have classes tomorrow, do you want to take a leave or attend?"

"I don't want to miss and what will I do after missing another day?" Hanuel replied, she already took a day off today.

"Then I will use guest room and you go sleep and rest. Okay?"

"But it's only 10 pm hyunjin, it's not even late."

"It's late go sleep night owl, and let me sleep too"

"Look at you being sweet for a moment and then going back to that sassy overdramatic guy, huh I am going and you know where is guest room so go and rest prince Hyunjin" Hanuel teased him, and went to her room.

There was a smile on Hyunjin's face, which Hanuel couldn't catch; it was the genuine smile which was because of Hanuel, he just didn't want to repeat that mistake of leaving her and from what he witnessed in the morning, she was a mess. Everything was a mess, she is fragile and he can't see her breaking down again because it hurts him, it hurts him more than anything, so he stayed.

He stayed with her because of her, he promised to stay with her till the end.
