11. Stay with me

Forgetting everything, Hyunjin was running, he was trying to find her and she was probably near her dad's grave. He couldn't stop worrying about her.

He found her.

She was lying on the ground, he went to her. He shook her body. He noticed, her face was wet because of crying. He took her head and placed it on his lap, he tried to wake her up and slowly Hanuel opened her eyes, Hyunjin sighed in relief.

"Hyun-Hyunjin?" Hanuel was confused and her expression said it all, she tried to get up with Hyunjin's help. Hyunjin looked at her, with an obvious look. He was somewhat sure she didn't had breakfast. "Let's go home, now" Hyunjin said softly but being a stubborn Hanuel, denied him. "Hanuel I swear if you don't go with me now-" Hyunjin was worried and that made him sound like he was angry. Eventually Hanuel agreed to him, and got up. Her mind was blank, she couldn't figure out what is going on. One second she wanted to stay next to her dad but another second she wanted warmth. Hyunjin called up a cab. Hyunjin held Hanuel's hand and started walking. Hyunjin made up his mind, that he is not letting Hanuel repeat the same thing she did last year.

Hanuel's mind was still blank, it's like she doesn't know a thing. Both Hyunjin and Hanuel were inside the cab, Hanuel started looking outside the window; she couldn't admire how it looked outside for some unknown reasons, she just couldn't. Her eyelids were getting heavier due to lack of sleep. Hyunjin was in his deep thoughts, he didn't think that it would be this easy to bring Hanuel home. No one dared to speak a word during the ride. Both of them gave space to each other and they wanted silence.

Hyunjin felt weight on his shoulder, he looked at his shoulder; Hanuel's head was resting on his shoulder. He looked at her, she was sleeping peacefully, she looked like a baby who is sleeping peacefully because she was exhausted. Hyunjin admired her face and the bangs were blocking his view of her face, he brought back her bangs to the original position.

After sometime, they reached her apartment, Hyunjin didn't wake her up instead he paid for the cab first and then lifted her, he carefully took her inside her apartment. Hanuel snuggled her head a bit on his chest. Unknowingly, Hyunjin was smiling. He opened the door of her apartment, he went straight to her bedroom after locking the door. Once he opened the door of her bedroom, he was surprised to see the state of her room. It was messed up. He managed to put Hanuel on the bed and covered her with blanket. He kept her bag on the nightstand.

Hyunjin picked up the pictures, which were scattered all over the floor, and put them back in the box which was on the floor. He picked up the clothes which were dumped on the floor, he folded it and kept on the study table because opening her wardrobe without her permission is invading her privacy which he didn't want to. He took her laptop and plugged the charger, the room looked better; it looked clean. He pulled the curtains so that the sunlight won't bother her sleep. Hyunjin saw the time, it was time for lunch, so he went in the kitchen. He thought to cook rice and started making soup and stew.

He started preparing, he poured water in rice cooker; he found rice and washed it. After washing it twice and finally added rice. He started making soup and stew, he carefully cut the vegetables. One by one. there was nothing to hurry, so he did slowly. After he prepared everything, omelette was left. He quickly made omelette

He thought to check on Hanuel once. He went to her bedroom; he opened the door. He heard her sobbing. He got worried about her and went to her and saw her crying; she was having a nightmare, "Hanuel, Hanuel, wake up. Hanuel" he tried to wake her up. The moment Hanuel opened her eyes, she looked around her "Dad!" she screamed, Hyunjin held her tightly, before she could get down from the bed.

"Hanuel, listen-"

"Just tell me why?!" she was crying horribly, her tears weren't stopping.

"Hanuel-

"Let me go with him." Hyunjin hugged her; her grip on his shirt was tight, with no intention of letting it go. He was patting her back, to calm her down.

"Calm down, I am here, I am not letting you go anywhere"

"Please! Please!" she cried harder, she held him tight and cried.

"Hanuel, calm down, I am here with you. Shh. Don't cry" after few minutes, she stopped crying. She was still holding Hyunjin and her head was buried in his chest.

"It's hard, Hyunjin; it's hard. Everyone will leave me like dad."

"I won't leave you, I promise. Calm down, I'm here" Hyunjin was still trying to calm her down.

"Hanuel, let's have lunch. Ok?"

"Don't leave me please. Not you Hyunjin" Hyunjin was about to get up but she held his hands and looked at him. Hanuel was afraid, she was afraid of everything.

Hyunjin hugged her, " Shh, I am not leaving you alone, so let's just go and have lunch together. I cooked"

Both of them went to dining room, Hanuel sat on the chair, Hyunjin served everything, Hanuel tried to smile. She ate after starving herself since yesterday. She felt good like this after a long time, she always had her dinner or lunch alone, except the days she ate with Minnie. "You are a great cook, I love your food. Make more for me like this" Hanuel joked

"Are you teasing me or complimenting me?" he raised his eyebrows

"Yah, I'm complimenting you. I take it back huh". They laughed a lot and smiled a lot. After having lunch, she did the dishes, although Hyunjin insisted it but Hanuel knew Hyunjin hated doing dishes the most in his life.
