Battle II

"Prepare yourselves... Fight!" the instructor said.

Then the boy facing Bai Chen who cultivated profound cosmic fire energy punched out at Bai Chen.

Incinerating fist!

A large straight-line stream of fire shot out from his fist towards Bai Chen.

With the stream of fire coming towards him, Bai Chen threw himself to the ground, where he landed with his back, skillfully evading the stream of fire that shot over him at extreme speed.

Then he placed his palms on the ground and with a kick, he sprung back to his feet.

He didn't land fully on his feet. As he kicked up to get back onto his feet, he landed on one of his knee while the other leg was bent. He had landed in the half-kneeling position.

"Lacerating fist" he shouted and quickly punched out.

Then a beam of energy shot out from his fist towards the boy.

Once Bai Chen sent out an energy-attack, the boy did a butterfly kick over it, evading the beam which went on to strike a screen of energy.

Cultivators at the flow activation stage don't have the ability to give forms to their energy-attacks. They can only send out rays or beams of energy.

When they get to the condensation stage which is the next cultivation stage, they would gain this ability.

Then, they would be able to send out energy-attacks that would take the forms of solid objects, like swords, spears, pikes, staffs, daggers and so on.

For example, in Bai Chen's 'lacerating fist' attack, profound cosmic sword energy would condense into a solid energy-fist in mid-air as it cannons towards an opponent after it shoots out of his punching fist.

It would have the form of an actual fist, but extremely sharp, as the energy that formed it has the attribute of sharpness.

The instant he sent out his lacerating fist attack, still on one of his knees with the other foot of his leg on the ground, he swung his arms out with the aim of forcing his body to spin in that position.

By swinging his arms out, it created a clockwise rotational force that caused his body to revolve in the clockwise direction but on a spot.

He spun on the knee in contact with the ground while he discharged wide rays of energy that shot towards the boy as he spun several times.

He quickly executed this beautiful deadly spin the moment the moment boy landed after he performed a butterfly kick to evade his lacerating fist attack.

Giving the boy no chance to dodge as he landed, the boy was hit by the rays of energy.

He blocked the first one with a protective screen of fiery energy but he was under a rapid flurry of energy-attacks.

So he was knocked to the ground by the rays of energy after they shattered his protective energy-screen.

Deep cuts were made into his body. It was like he was slashed here and there by a sword.

The instructors came in and took him away for treatment.

The other boys were shocked. Who the hell was this guy? Same with the instructors, they wondered why Bai Chen was so good at this.

His skills seemed too marveling for a twelve year old child, and he seemed very proficient in battle.

Battle genius?

That was what came to the mind of the instructors.

Could he be?

They shook their heads.

They decided to watch him more closely. If he was, that was great news to them. That would mean they have just discovered a gem from a large pile of stones.

The boys who came out to fight Bai Chen for the position were now frightened. They didn't want to have gashes made into their bodies.

It was horrifying to them.

Then the ones at the late-phase flow activation stage lost the courage to fight Bai Chen.

After many minutes, one of them in the peak stage came out.

"You are very good. I give you my word for that" one said when he came in to fight Bai Chen.

"You are excellent yourself." Bai Chen replied.

The boy was taken aback. "How? Why?" he asked in a dumbfounded tone.

"Because you are in the peak phase. It's just a matter of time you broke through into the condensation stage" Bai Chen replied with a smile.

"Hmm. You are right. Let's fight now" The boy said.

Without waiting for the instructor to give them the command to fight. The boy ran towards Bai Chen.

Bai Chen quickly got ready to block or evade.

Once the boy got to Bai Chen's front using enhanced speed, he jumped into the air and with a twist of his body, he sent out a powerful kick towards Bai Chen's face.

And as he kicked, he discharged the energy he cultivated from his leg.

Bai Chen bent backwards at the waist dodging both the kick and the energy attack.

The boy who was still airborne, saw this and brought down forcefully the leg he kicked out. While at the same time, he sent out a ray of energy from his kicking leg onto Bai Chen's torso.

Bai Chen who was still bent at the waist twisted and reached out with his hands to the ground. Then his lower body spun away from the incoming kick landing in another place with Bai Chen now on his feet beside his opponent. He just performed a swipe.

The kick landed and an energy was discharged from it. It caused the ground it struck to rend apart.

Bai Chen who had stood to his feet quickly entered a crouch position beside the boy. Then he did a sweeping, 360° counter-clockwise kick by spinning on a foot in the counter-clockwise direction. Then he swung out a leg powerfully as his body revolved.

This kick hit the boy and swept him off his feet to the ground.

Before he could spring back to his feet with a kip up, Bai Chen rushed to where his legs was.

Quickly, he grabbed them and with a loud roar, after abruptly infusing his arm's muscles with profound cosmic sword energy, he lifted the boy from his legs off the ground and turned swinging him into the distance, about twelve feet away.

Bang!

The boy collided heavily into a screen of energy put out by the instructors.

On impact, he shrieked in pain and fainted.

Haha!

The instructor laughed. "Excellent" he said.

Then he looked at Bai Chen and spoke out very loud so everyone could hear. "This is what I am talking about. You have a perfect control of the battle. And those skills of yours are awesome"

"Anyone else wants to try this boy?" he asked looking at the remaining boys that had come out to contest with Bai Chen for the position.

"......."

It was as quiet as a graveyard as no one responded.

"No one?" he asked again.
