Gu Yansheng, the most handsome alpha besides Yanhui is rumoured to have a girlfriend.

"Gege had a girlfriend? Why didn't you tell us earlier "

Yanhui exclaimed as she questioned her elder brother.

"Hui hui you'll meet her soon. Her name is Mu-". Yansheng was interrupted by their uncle.

"Yansheng, your mother is looking for you"

Yanhui let out a disappointed 'huff' as she went back to her phone. She scrolled through the Internet while her legs were engaged in a fidgeting motion. Yanhui, after her high-school graduation spent a lot of time reading novels that featured dramatic romance which was apparently, the most popular thing of that time. She felt pathetic reading these CEO romance novels which were evidently, ludicrous and farcical. Though they were absurd, she had put up with those thoughts as it was a crucial thing to determine the future of the novel she was in. Reading these novels won't necessarily give her the answers but she hoped that she would find some thread. Reading these absurd novels resulted in her becoming professional at the guessing game she was in. She could predict almost all the plots and endings of all novels except the one she's trapped in. She associated herself with another anime character from her world.

Rampo San, an intelligent detective was trapped in a crime and mystery novel. To get out of it he had to solve all the mysteries or else he would die. Yanhui was also puzzled like the detective from her favourite TV show.

The old acquaintances rejoiced at each other's presence. Mu Yanli and Jing Wen were best friends since middle school. Both belonged to two proud families, they were rich and beautiful. Mu Yanli's fame as an opera singer was eminent though her success was quite....shady.Jing Wen's friend circle mostly consisted of people like Mu Yanli.

"Yanli, it's been two years since you left. How was your life in DC."

"Xiao Wenah you don't know how much I missed you and our country"

Pretty words but they were barren.

Both of them knew that. Mu Yanli only became friends with Jing Wen because she didn't want to make a potentially powerful enemy. And Jing Wen, just wanted another lackey to back her up. Both the girls were evil and scheming. But beauty and brains are a rare combination. Though they were pretty, they weren't clever.

"Xiao Wen, I heard that you and your fiancé are soon getting married. Is that true?"

Mu Yanli asked vaguely.

Jing Wen chuckled in response and replied.

"Those are just rumours. Though hui jie jie asked about it, I refused her because I wanted to build my career. So we are not in a hurry to tie the knot"

She spat pure lies while the other party nodded.

" Yanli, did you get a new partner"

Yanli hesitated for a minute before answering

"Yeah, I did. He's from a big family."

Jing Wen exclaimed,

"Who's that lucky person, what's his name"

" you know him. The Gu family's first young master Gu Yansheng."

Jing Wen was stunned. Her blood boiled while bile rose in her throat.

Her half-assed smile showed her dissent.

How could she compare herself to a leech-like Mu Yanli in the future? She is supposed to be the queen not this bitch Mu Yanli.

" Oh that's great umm then we will be sisters in the future"

"yeah," Yanli gleaned while Jing Wen gritted her teeth silently.

' Lin Yun Jie Jie, I want a strawberry ice cream"

" Okay then, let's make some strawberry ice cream"

It was her day off and Lin Yun decided to spend her time with her family. Her neighbour, Aunty Su had a granddaughter. Su Meng.

Su Meng was a cute little girl with no teeth in her front row. Like her name, she was adorable. She loved Lin Yun as she was like a sister to her.

Lin Yun also felt the same as she didn't have any siblings.

"meng meng can you grab some strawberry syrup for me"

" yes, Xiaoyun Jie Jie. "

'growl'

" meng meng if you are hungry them jie jie can cook up some porridge for you. Do you want that? "

" Jie jie, if I eat that now, my stomach won't have space for the ice cream so I'll wait"

LinYun chuckled at her words while whisking the pink strawberry cream.

"Jie jie can I taste a little bit"

The little kid asked her with a small pout.

"You can but only a little"

Lin Yun took a spatula and took a little bit of the cream. She extended the spatula towards Meng's mouth while playfully teasing her by smearing some of the creams on her nose.

Lin Yun Chuckled while the little girl pouted in response.

After making the ice cream and placing it inside the freezer both the girls went to play.

"Grandma you look so pretty "

Lin Yun said while looking at her grandma who sat in front of the vanity with red lipstick on her lips. Lin Yun's grandma was smiling.

Though she didn't have any teeth, her smile was honest.

That evening Lin Yun and su meng ate the ice cream they made together.

" meng meng does it taste good? "

Su Meng nodded in response. She was busy chugging down the ice cream. Seeing this Lin Yun couldn't help but laugh. Lin Yun, during her childhood, couldn't eat such things as ice cream or chocolate. She wanted su meng to have these things because of this. Su Meng was also poor as the neighbourhood she was living consists of people from the lower class and middle-class citizens.

She went back to her room after cleaning the kitchen.

Suddenly she got a call from an unknown number.

" Lin Yun. Dear, it's me your father"
