Chapter 2

Listening to his words I was stunned and actually was a bit curious that what is it that is want to gamble with the thing he value the most in his life. I looked at Aden he had a mixed expression on his face. I guess he was happy that he will go away from me but at the same time he was a bit nervous that did he really have something against him. I understood his expression and it simply means there is something that he was hiding from me. So I decided to check it.

"Is there something that I don't know about you? It's better you tell me now or else I will shurely leave you." , I warned Aden before I check it as I really didn't want to leave him.

" You can rest assured about us. You shurely can check it if you really want to. I am confident about us.", Aden replied me.

I felt happy and told Martin with a smirk , " Let's see what you have got that you are gambling with your most wanted job "

" Since you already know the value of the job for me than you must know that it's something really sensitive " , Martin replied .

" Ofcourse I do know so I am ready to gamble with you with my trust and love." , I told him.

He smiled and lead my way to the laptop and few files which he was working on.

He told, " Do you remember that you asked me to investigate about who was the rat in our company to leak the project information.?"

I replied , " Yes I do. But didn't you already find the rat and fired him from company?"

Martin told , " Yes I did but do u know who hired him or for whom is he working."

I replied , " So he didn't do that for money but he was hired by someone."

Martin told , " Yes you got my point. But don't you want to know who hired him and why? And above all why am I talking about it when I told you to come here for talking about your so called love."

I narrowed my eyes and asked , " What do you mean? Tell me everything at once instead of talking to me in riddle and fragments."

I was a bit frustrated and it was clear from my voice so he made some scared faces and asked me to calm down and listen to him. Then he showed me the documents and from the documents it was clear that he had been checking on it for at least a week. Then he showed me the email he recieved half an hour back where he got confirmation that it was Aden who plotted the employee in my company and gave the project information to the company who plagiarized our company's project and presented it before us. We had no other alternative project and was almost bankrupt but with the help of Martin's company we was able to come up again and that was when Martin joined the company as my assistant to especially investigate the rat of our company.

I was shocked and felt my leg was losing control and I fell on the floor helplessly. Tears were rolling down my eyes unconsciously . My heart were aching to see that the man with whom I wanted to spent my life with is the reason of my grandpa's death. I felt like I was the murderer not him. I wasn't able to react and my body got numb. i wanted to ask him why did he do that but my voice was trumbling and my legs were numb for me to walk upto him.

Suddenly I felt a warm hand wrapped around me . I looked up to see who was it. It was Martin. Seeing him I hugged him tight and started sobbing loudly and uncontrollably. He tried to console me but also asked me to cry as it will make me feel lighter.

( Martin thought : I guess I can't tell you more about him now . You will break too badly that you won't be able to get up ever. I can't see you broken. I really love you Lisa Watson. No matter what I will protect you always.)

Suddenly I came to my senses when I heard the door sound. Then I realized that I was hugging Martin. I pulled myself from the hug , wiped my tears and saw Aden was standing in front of us with a furious and confused expression on his face. I looked at him and smiled mockingly. His face turned serious when he saw my smile and realized something is off . So he came to me and tried to hold my arms but I pushed his hands away from my arms and took the file of project and gave it to him.

He was nervous but tried to act that he didn't get what was going on. Then I gave him the file where the losses of the company due to failure of the project was recorded . He looked at me seriously and then he looked at Martin. He started to have an idea what was going on so he tried to put the blame on Martin that he tried to frame him .

Aden literally shouted , " How dare you frame me? I know that you love Lisa but you should respect her choice. I know you are doing this today so that she will not accept me and you will get her. "

I was shocked by his words then looked at Martin. From his expression I could understand that he wasn't shocked or surprised by his words instead he smiled as if he won a big prize.

The Martin replied to Aden, " How do you know what we are talking about ? How do you know that it will reach you because Lisa only showed the project and losses that company suffered for failure of that project."

Lisa turned to Aden with eyes filled tears and asked , " Why Aden?"
