"It's okay, Clancy...I just hope I'm the person who could help you healed up." Verona lovingly told me which I felt hurt all of the sudden then I pushed away for a little to take a look at her reaction. She's sad.

"Why are you sad?" I asked since I am not sure if it's about my sudden silent treatment or some other things.

"Because I can't do anything to make you feel alright." She honestly answered which made my heart feel a little ache which made me sit on her lap and wrapped my arms around her neck. She was slightly surprised at what I just did but at the same time she let out some giggles.

"Being here with me holding me like this is really enough to put me at ease, Valentine. I'm just caught up with my own negativities from my sad past which I didn't realize that you're hurting already. From that, I am sorry." I explained as I wanted her to know what kind of effect she does on me.
