136 Chapter 136: Shattering An Island

"Conqueror's Haki? I hardly use it since my health declined," Whitebeard admitted with a touch of nostalgia.

He acknowledged Conqueror's Haki's immense power, but viewed it more as a means of amplification, similar to Armament Haki, albeit stronger. Ultimately, it depended on Whitebeard himself. If his body wasn't up to par, Conqueror's Haki wouldn't be enough.

However, with Luo Ning's request and his own recovered health, Whitebeard felt compelled to give it a try.

Haki, his Conqueror's Haki, surged from his body, enveloping Murakumogiri. The weapon glowed with an eerie red light after the infusion.

Whitebeard then raised Murakumogiri high and slashed at Luo Ning.

Luo Ning's eyes gleamed at the sight. He met Whitebeard's attack head-on with his own arm.

The two attacks collided, but not in the way either expected. Luo Ning felt a strange sensation - Whitebeard's Conqueror's Haki seemed to form a tangible shield, preventing his arm from directly clashing with Murakumogiri.

BOOM!

Despite the lack of direct contact, the collision produced a thunderous roar that echoed across the island. Large cracks erupted on the ground, and sections began to crumble.

This, it was important to note, was achieved with Whitebeard's Conqueror's Haki alone, without the Gura Gura no Mi's power.

In Luo Ning's opinion, this technique was truly overpowered, bordering on a cheat code. After all, Conqueror's Haki was an innate ability, unobtainable through mere training.

Compared to others who can only train in the two standard Haki forms, Busoshoku (Armament) and Kenbunshoku (Observation), there seems to be an unfair advantage for those who possess Haoshoku Haki (Conqueror's Haki). Even if someone hones Busoshoku Haki to its peak, like Garp and others who are undeniably strong, a sudden burst of Haoshoku Haki from their opponent can tip the scales unfairly.

Whitebeard's Conqueror's Haki infusion is potent. While its range can't compete with his Gura Gura no Mi (Tremor-Tremor Fruit) powers, its strength is far from weak. Even compared to the widespread destructive force of the Gura Gura no Mi, the focused power of this move is truly terrifying.

"Is this the extent of your defense? How powerful are you?" Whitebeard rumbled, genuinely bewildered. He had unleashed a peak attack, yet it couldn't even pierce the skin on Luo Ning's hand. It was outrageous.

"Honestly, I'm not entirely sure myself," Luo Ning admitted. "But one thing I know is that even if your strength were several times greater, it wouldn't be enough!"

Luo Ning acknowledged going overboard. He hadn't even relied heavily on The Visionary abilities. This attack was almost entirely blocked by his own physical defenses.

His body had already reached a monstrous level among monsters, and when combined with his fantasy powers, Luo Ning genuinely couldn't imagine anyone being his opponent. Even the legendary weapon Uranus seemed irrelevant now.

After all, no matter how powerful Uranus was, could it surpass the world's top combatant by dozens of times? Even if it did have a dozenfold advantage, Luo Ning's raw physical strength reaching this level wouldn't be in vain.

Furthermore, considering the current state of Poseidon and Pluton, even a powerful Uranus wouldn't be invincible. Luo Ning had little to worry about.

"You truly are a monster, far more terrifying than Rocks back then!" Whitebeard exclaimed. Rocks, who had been overthrown by the combined efforts of Garp and Roger at their peak, represented a terrifying force.

But now, comparing Luo Ning to Rocks, Whitebeard suddenly felt that Rocks' strength paled in comparison.

At least with this blow, even Rocks in his prime wouldn't have caught it so effortlessly. Luo Ning hadn't used any additional powers, just raw physical strength, which was simply unbelievable.

Back then, his knife fight with Roger resulted in a stalemate. Both of them countered each other's attacks.

But back then, they clashed with Conqueror's Haki-infused attacks, essentially ultimate moves colliding. Luo Ning, on the other hand, basically blocked it with one hand, a show of utter disrespect.

"Whitebeard, not considering throwing in the towel?" Luo Ning asked with a smirk.

"Of course not, I am Whitebeard!"

Even though he acknowledged Luo Ning's terrifying strength and knew defeat was inevitable, who was Whitebeard? He wouldn't simply accept defeat.

The two clashed again. This time, Whitebeard went all out, pushing his Haki abilities and physical prowess to the limit.

Marco in the sky was also affected, forced to ascend further. As for the ships in the distance, they retreated even further.

The entire island and surrounding sea seemed to be caught in a natural disaster, with constant tremors and roars.

After a fierce battle that raged for several minutes, the sheer force of the aftershocks completely shattered the island, reducing it to a pile of debris that sank to the bottom of the sea.

Defeated, Whitebeard found himself with nowhere to stand. The island lay shattered beneath the churning sea, denying him solid ground. Though weakened, a remnant of his immense strength allowed him to tread water. The stronger the individual, the less the sea hampered them.

"I concede defeat," Whitebeard rumbled. "You are a monstrous entity. Before witnessing your power firsthand, I never believed such a being could exist!"

Whitebeard wasn't claiming ignorance. Luo Ning's strength was simply too outlandish, akin to the awe Whitebeard himself felt upon encountering the world's top powers for the first time. It mirrored Zoro's reaction to Hawkeye's prowess.

This was utterly unbelievable. However, Whitebeard wasn't the inexperienced youth he once was, nor was he as blind as Zoro had been. Luo Ning's power surpassed them by a significant margin.

"Well, I am special," Luo Ning admitted with a grin. As someone with a cheat code as potent as his, it was natural to establish such a swift advantage.

He'd never understood protagonists who, despite having access to shortcuts to power, opted for strange training methods or deliberately suppressed their growth. Luo Ning wouldn't dream of such self-imposed limitations. He was already invincible, yet he continued to tirelessly accrue more power. He was a very ambitious worker indeed.
