46 Prayer

"I'll leave for now, Elder White Mustache. Thank you for giving me your time. And I'm sorry for my sudden withdrawal from your training. I just felt the need to meet my Master now." Ling Ai had a dull face and her intentions were unclear... She was also confused and perplexed.

"I don't know what's going on, Ling Ai'er. But maybe, this has something to do with your Master? Maybe you'll ask for advice or ask him something about what you've heard from me. I don't know, I'm not really sure. But let me advise you this for now as you take your leave and go check out your master, be careful... Don't let emotions rule you.

Even though you're in a good or bad situation with your Master. If it doesn't bring you to harm, then always remember what your Master had told you to do. I have no idea but I'm quite sure that every master has something to give to their disciples, it could be skills or words of wisdom. Either is helpful and for your own good. That's all I ask of you now. Be careful on your way, young Ling Ai."

White Mustache was quite worried as it was the first time he saw Ling Ai lose her self-control and temper when she has never the slightest lost her composure in battle. All the Elder White Mustache had thought was how it could turn bad what Ling Ai's curiosity brings.

3 days passed.

Ling Ai arrived on the cliff where she was trained by her master.

"Where is he... Even using my eyes of divinity, I didn't see neither hear any trace of him." Ling Ai stood at the top of a tree using her eyes of divinity but she didn't get to find Zhuanxu YeBai at all.

Ling Ai sighed and jumped down the tree.

"Where could he be in a time where I need him... I need him to give me answers. I want things to be clarified before I continue this mission. Or else, I'll be on my own pursuing justice."

Ling Ai was surprised by other human presence. She calmly turned her head towards the edge of the cliff.

"Pursue justice? Heh! So it was you, huh? The one I've felt... The one growing stronger and stronger each day. And within just one month, you leaped your cultivation rank.

I suppose that you are now at the grandmaster rank. Even without using pectoral chi in my eyes, I can say you are one because of how your eyes look. It is fierce and at the same time calm."

A soaked half-naked man showed up from the edge of the cliff. The man had blue hair with a well-built body and the way he climbed up the cliff was so athletic.

"Who are you? What are you blabbing about? Are you a stalker or something? If so, then I don't have business with you. Get out of here before my temper brings myself to beat you to a pulp."

Ling Ai raised her brow as she was showing an uninterested face towards the well-built young man with blue hair.

"Hahaha! You're unexpectedly straightforward and... cocky? Well, whatever. I just wanted to test your strength!"

The young man with blue hair suddenly appeared at Ling Ai who is unguarded.

"What?!" Ling Ai was flustered for a second but she didn't let the surprise attack get her.

At the very second, Ling Ai realized that the strange man's fist is about to hit her. She realized another thing,

'My Xenohorn sword! How careless of me!"

_BOOM!

Ling Ai blocked the blue-haired man's fist appearing before her as the forest vibrated from the impact.

"This man!.. Max cultivation! Element absorption!" Ling Ai hurriedly cast a skill to retaliate an attack as she was surprised how strong the strange man is. Her arms were almost broken from the surprise punch.

"Element absorption? You're surely interesting. But you won't make it, you can absorb the air as fast as you can but that won't do to someone who has already absorbed the ocean." The blue-haired man grinned at Ling Ai and released a devastating skill.

Ling Ai was indeed very strong compared to thousands of people. But her weakness was that she doesn't have any offensive skills learned yet except for the black panther her master taught her. So with a grandmaster nature, she relied on her reflexes alone.

"Raaaaa!" Ling Ai threw a compact air ball towards the blue-haired man after the 2 seconds of absorbing the air element.

The face of the strange man dimmed as the air ball swiftly grazed his face.

"You truly are strong. But you're not yet using your full power... Or skills I say? Hah! If you don't, then I'll be sorry after killing you now.

Heavenly arts..."

Ling Ai's heart jumped and she felt death whispering at her ears. Her body turned cold and she was unable to move any movements from her body.

"What is happening... Who are you?!" Everything slowed down as Ling Ai's pupil contracted.

"I guess... I'm your death reaper... Heavenly arts,

OCEAN SCYTHE!!!"

The blue-haired man slashed Ling Ai with a rising gigantic water scythe he grabbed from the ocean. He easily cast it as he was meditating from the deepest of the ocean for 1 month.

"Bahh!"

'Is this my death already... Such early... Or was it just my time? I'm sorry, Master. You seem very close to me but I don't know why you also feel strange... I wanted to ask you things, but... I guess I won't make it. Good-...bye.'

Ling Ai realized the regret she had as she felt doubt to her Master Zhuanxu YeBai after hearing the name Zhuanxu Ryu. All she had thought from her last moments was to see her master, Zhuanxu YeBai.

Blood was gushing out Ling Ai's body from the deadly slash she received. And the forest was devastated in a blink of an eye.

"I'm sorry but I'm not a man with patience. Hahaha! Even though you're about to die minutes from now, I'll honor your strength. You are indeed immeasurable. Hahaha! How unlucky you had to encounter me now." The blue-haired man without upper clothes walked towards the ocean leaving Ling Ai sprawled on the ground.

While Ling Ai was coughing blood and bleeding a pool of blood from the wound the Heavenly arts ocean scythe inflicted at her.

"Mast-... ter."

The blue-haired man heard Ling Ai uttered and he slightly turned his face to have a glance at Ling Ai.

"I'm the Martial artist hunter, Garen Xan. I'm sorry it has to be you but I have no exceptions as a hunter...

Heavenly arts, ocean crystal."

The blue-haired man cast a mysterious skill that surrounded Ling Ai inside a crystal ball water that instantly closes her wound and replenished her strength. But she also turned unconscious the second the skill was uttered.

"Those who respect one's master deserves respect and honor. May you grow stronger my fellow." Garen Xan leaped and dived back to the ocean.

"Refreshing... Who-who was that, man..." Ling Ai muttered and turned completely unconscious inside the crystal ball water.

Evening arrived.

Ling Ai woke up.

The very second she opened her eyes she tried to remember why was she lying at the ground from the edge of the land.

"Strange." Ling Ai muttered.

She immediately went to find her master as she remembered the purpose of why she went at the edge of the land. As what they had agreed about, that Ling Ai and her master were supposed to meet around the vicinity where they built a training camp.

But even using Ling Ai's eyes of divinity. She still hasn't managed to find her master, even at a good spot, at a very tall thin tree.

"The time I needed him the most, countless questions I kept in mind just to ask him the moment I see him. Even with the confusing feeling I have, anger and disappointment at the same time. But what fills me is... is how much I needed this guy, I miss him. So please, let me see him. Heavens if you're listening, please do help me find him. I miss him more than I'm confused about the knowledge I had and the disappointment I'm feeling. Guide my eyes... is all I ask."

Ling Ai was not aware that as she expressed what she was feeling, talking to her self made it a prayer. A prayer whom someone Great was listening, to hear and answer such sincere words. In mere seconds, bright yellow light shone on her eyes of divinity. It was very painful that it made Ling Ai scream in pain that made her thought that there was blood dripping at the tip of her eyes. But it was all just inside her mind.

Although the pain was real. As the prayer was answered, the pain was necessary for a price to be paid.

After the bright yellow light, the pain Ling Ai was feeling from her eyes gradually lessened. And she finally can open her eyes,

"What was that? What happened..." She touched her eyes and realized that there was no blood at all neither tears. But the throbbing pain can still be felt as she taps her eyes gently.

"Was that... an answer? Am I suppose to expect something now? Now what?" Ling Ai didn't understand what was happening nor what was that all about.

All she did, was look up the skies full of shining stars as she sat down and reclined on a tree.

On the other part of the land, somewhere underneath and hidden. Someone's heart was aching uneasily and terribly.
