Mera, Your Father is Calling You...

=====

David didn't kill Karathen after he defeated them.

Although Karathen is just a monster, unlike the beast-like Trench people, its intelligence is not inferior to that of an adult. It can even communicate freely with Aquaman, and so provide emotional points continuously.

[Anger from Karathen +108…]

The strength of the deep-sea giant monster is powerful enough, but unfortunately, it is not an important character in the fate of the world. It can only provide over a hundred emotional points, but it's better than nothing.

'The main course is the Atlantean tribe next.'

Breaking through the sea, standing in mid-air, David coldly scanned the densely packed Trench Tribe in the sea, and with a swing of his trident, the tidal wave struck down the monsters that were still trying to bite and crashed them into the depths of the sea.

The gravity field instantly broke the sound barrier, breaking through the atmosphere and heading toward Atlantis under the guidance of the worried Mera.

...

Pacific Ocean, underwater.

The Royal Palace of Atlantis

The pure white grand hall shaped like a whale's bone exuded a sacred and majestic aura.

Orm, exuding great power, sat on the throne, wearing dazzling silver armor and a crown of coral-shaped spikes on his head.

Two people sat below him.

Inside the palace, Atlantean elite warriors in white high-tech armor, and two other officers with completely different appearances from the armor, bowed their heads and reported the results of their search to the three in the palace.

"Your Majesty, two kings,

We have dispatched personnel and instruments to search in various sea areas, and so far, we have searched the Red Sea, Venice Sea, and Caspian Sea...

There is still no trace of the criminal."

"Keep searching; look again!"

Not getting the desired news, Orm shouted in a cold voice, his voice echoing inside the palace. He slammed his bright silver trident like a scepter on the ground, and powerful water waves swept across the entire hall.

No one could stand firmly, feeling the anger of the King of the Seven Seas. They all quickly lowered their heads and dared not even breathe.

"Your Majesty Orm's will is our will."

Nereus sat on the throne to the left of Orm.

On the other side was the King of the Fishermen's Kingdom, a tall figure with blue skin covered in fish scales. He had no legs; instead, he had a stout fishtail.

The two of them also issued orders to their respective troops.

"Two kings, we were once one tribe, with a common ancestor. Although we have evolved and our appearances have become somewhat different.

But some things will never change; we are all Atlanteans."

Orm's face was gloomy as he addressed the two kings on either side.

"For decades, the surface-dwellers have been polluting our oceans, treating our home as their dumping ground, and we have suffered greatly.

Now, the princess and future queen of our Atlantean family have been kidnapped by the dirty and despicable surface-dwellers, and their whereabouts are unknown. I propose that we declare war on the surface and make them pay for their actions!"

Over the long ages, Atlantis had divided into seven tribes, with the Atlanteans, Xebelians, and the Fishermen being the only ones to retain their humanoid forms.

One of the remaining four tribes had perished as the Sea dried up and turned into a desert called the Sahara. One has lost contact and disappeared with unknown results. One became the unintelligent and violent Trench tribe, while the other has also become violent and barbaric, heading towards the evolution of the Trench.

The three kings who now held power in Atlantis could represent almost the entire Atlantean population. Their armies were gathering outside the city.

"As long as my daughter can return safely, I am willing to go to war with anyone," declared Nereus.

Marrying his daughter to Orm was a political move to secure control over the Seven Seas, but it didn't mean he lacked affection for her.

The surface-dweller who took his daughter had vanished without a trace, and launching a war against the surface could apply pressure and possibly lead to her quicker retrieval.

"Ancient beliefs of our people have always foretold that one day, we would clash with the surface-dwellers over living space," the King of the Fishermen's Kingdom added coldly.

"I am more than willing to educate these surface-dwellers, who are just beginning to embrace technology but have grown arrogant and see themselves as the masters of the Earth."

"Very good!"

Upon hearing that both kings accepted his proposal and were willing to wage war on the surface, Orm stood up and laughed heartily. He was about to issue orders to gather the army and declare war on all surface-dweller ships at sea.

"Your Majesty, the criminal that took Princess Mera appeared above our city!" Suddenly, a guard rushed in, kneeling to deliver the urgent news.

Swish!

Orm stood up from his throne, unable to believe what he heard, with an angry expression.

'Could it be that the guy left me waiting, promising to return just to stabilize me?'

This had been his thought after hearing the story from Vulko, he thought the guy was merely boasting.

Knocking over a few Atlantean warriors, did he think he could seize the power of the King of the Seven Seas?

As for the Trident of Neptune, Velko's leads may not be entirely trustworthy, especially considering that the guy who supposedly knew the trident's location had foolishly destroyed the recorder, claiming to be the sole possessor of the knowledge.

In Orm's eyes, David, despite having some strength, was nothing more than a land-dweller who talked big, and was merely a damned individual who gave him an excuse to invade the surface.

"Mobilize the troops!"

Orm had just given the command when the dome made of deep-sea stone was lifted open as if it were a can lid, powered by a huge force.

A group of elite warriors panicked and raised their rifles. Orm, holding his trident, looked up in anger, only to see a figure holding a golden trident daring to look down on him from above.

And his fiancée, the most beautiful princess of the Seven Seas, stood obediently beside the young man.

"Mera!"

Upon seeing his kidnapped daughter reappear, Nereus stood up anxiously.

The loud sound of the palace being demolished spread throughout the ocean floor.

All Atlanteans looked up overhead, in the direction of the palace.

Orders were transmitted through communicators, and the city's guards outside the palace, the warriors, ascended to the city's vicinity to encircle the approaching enemy.

David held the trident in his hand, his face calm, as he allowed the elite Atlantean warriors, clad in different gear, to surround him from a distance. His gaze swept over them, not like a prisoner being encircled but more like a monarch reviewing troops, nodding slightly.

"Almost everyone's here except the Brine!" This saved him quite a bit of trouble, as it was reasonable to expect that the Brine, who lived in the underwater volcano regions, isolated from the rest, wouldn't participate.

He didn't expect too much from Orm, the King of the Seven Seas who was about to disappear in name only.

"Surface-dweller, drop your weapons and surrender immediately. I will grant you a fair execution."

Rising above the city, Orm's purple cape billowed with the seawater as he stood in front of the army, holding his trident with authority, and pointed directly at David, his voice echoing across the ocean.

There was deep disgust and anger in his eyes.

A surface-dweller! His mother had combined with a land-dweller and willingly degenerated and soiled her bloodline with a dirty and low-level creature and was finally executed by his father!

"Surface-dweller, you have no idea what ancient and powerful force you've provoked!"

The King of the Fishermen's Kingdom spoke coldly.

"When your ancestors were still eating hair and drinking blood, we already ruled the world."

High-tech firearms capable of easily piercing through buildings were aimed at David one after another.

"Daughter, I will rescue you soon!"

The nobles of Atlantis had a tradition of using tridents as weapons. Nereus held a trident with energy-emitting capabilities, aiming it at David.

He thought that Mera was trapped and held hostage within David's gravity field that was isolated from the seawater.

"Surface-dweller, you will soon pay for your bold and despicable actions. If you have the guts, release my daughter!"

"Mera, your father is calling you."

Surrounded by tens of thousands of soldiers, David smiled and released the gravity field, allowing Mera to return to the water.

"Daughter, come here quickly!"

Seeing David making such an unwise move, Nereus hurriedly called out to his daughter.
