21 Farenlite Under Attack (2)

*SHRIEK*

I can hear the shrieking of the goblins even from where I was. The first wave of the hoard had hot the eastern barricade of the village.

"Hurry!" A villager shouted. "We must man the eastern gate!"

"Archers!" A knight shouted. "Fire at will!"

Our location was relatively at the center of the village. The village was just normal in size and we could still see the occurrence of the battle that was ensuing at the eastern gate.

"We are still safe for now." Serena muttered. "But I doubt that the barricade would last that long."

The barricades were made out of logs that were cut hastily and were assembled with pointy ends. I also thought that those things wouldn't last long.

"They have gotten the the barricade?!" We heard someone yell. "Brace yourselves!"

Our attention was called to the eastern gate and we saw goblins flooding in the gate.

"Looks like that is our que, my lady." Serena handed me an arrow that came from the arrows that were neatly arranged by her side.
