60 Destroyer vs Limitless

It's true; there's no need or obligation for Allen. He was completely aware that his involvement in this conflict was unnecessary, but his instinct kept urging him to stop Loki.

Allen and Loki had their best cards on the table.

The Destroyer isn't just armor; its main feature isn't defense but the ability to amplify the abilities of whoever wears it.

In its golden era in this universe, the Destroyer was imbued with power by the father gods, Zeus, Brahma, and Odin. When worn with Odin's sword, the father of everything faced seven celestials. Although Odin lost that fight and was gravely injured, if only one of those seven celestials had been missing, Odin could have won and even killed some of them.

Loki isn't Odin and doesn't have the support of Zeus and Brahma, but he remains a powerful god in a different way from Thor.

As for Thor's outcry to Loki upon knowing he had it on, it was due to the nature of the Destroyer. The Destroyer is armor that consumes the mind of its wearer, turning it into a brainless killing machine. However, if the user possesses strong willpower, they can use it without losing their mind for a certain period.

It was believed that only Odin and Thor would be capable of using it. It was believed that Loki was cowardly, and at some point, he was, but after a thousand years, even the most cowardly person gains a bit of courage. This Loki is fully convinced of his purpose and has no fear of the Destroyer.

On the other hand, there's Allen, and the three-day cooldown of the Limitless technique and the Six Eyes had ended. Since Allen could use them, he did so without hesitation. But it wasn't just that; due to the Six Eyes and Allen's control over cursed energy, he had risen many levels higher, to the point where he could use Sukuna's technique without actually using the ability itself.

At this moment, one could say that Allen was the fusion between Ryomen Sukuna and Satoru Gojo.

...

A look that conveyed many things passed between them. Allen and Loki were strangers until a moment ago, only opposed by their place and circumstances.

If Loki didn't have the Destroyer, Allen would have let Thor take care of it alone. If Allen had left earlier, he wouldn't have even met Loki. An unplanned encounter between a human and a god, both using their biggest winning cards and testing their power against each other.

...

The initial burst was so swift that many couldn't react. Loki summoned his fire sword that burned like the sun and in an instant swung it down toward Allen's shoulder. Contrarily, the albino remained motionless, not budging throughout this.

"Arrogance!" Loki shouted, annoyed by such a lack of caution and insolence.

The executioner's sword hit Allen, but it stopped upon reaching the shoulder, or rather, it never reached his shoulder. This was due to the Infinite.

Indeed, the sword didn't cut the shoulder, but the same couldn't be said for everything else behind Allen.

Loki was surprised, but likewise, Allen was astonished. Behind him, a massive trench had formed, created by a massive cut spanning several miles, and this wasn't even a special attack or a technique; it was just Loki swinging his sword.

Needless to say, Allen ensured that no one was behind him within a fifty miles.

Loki narrowed his eyes, trying to comprehend what had happened. 'There was no resistance... it seemed that my attack never reached him.'

When hitting something, it's natural to feel a proportional opposing force, but Loki didn't sense that. Of course, the option of magic was always present as an answer, but Loki dismissed that possibility, considering he had spent centuries learning magic, doubting if anyone could use magic in his presence without him noticing. Loki assumed it was another type of power, one that interfered with the trajectory of the attack itself.

"..." Loki murmured near his sword while casting a spell to secure the next strike. All this took longer to explain than what happened.

Loki pushed his weapon while aiming at Allen again; however, a step slower, Allen appeared inside his guard and placed his hand on Loki's chest.

"Dismantle..."

Parallel and cross-shaped cuts appeared on the Destroyer, pushing Loki backward. That left the god speechless, but the cuts were merely flashy; they hadn't done anything to the Destroyer.

Loki recovered and summoned his scepter to cast a repulsion spell towards Allen. Allen seized Loki's arm, preventing him from doing so, then placed his other hand on Loki's face.

A sphere of red energy accumulated in front of Loki, causing him to try to retreat, but he was held back by Allen's other hand gripping his arm.

"Are you going somewhere?" Allen smiled. "Cursed Technique Reversal: Red."

The place was dyed red, flashing for hundreds of kilometers. Not only was Allen using the abilities of the Gojo clan and Sukuna, but by having them active simultaneously, they reinforced each other, allowing Allen to do much more than Gojo and Sukuna could separately.

The explosion was devastating as the ground pulverized into a massive cloud of dust.

Allen didn't have time to celebrate; Loki appeared behind him with his Uru mythic metal dagger.

Allen narrowed his eyes as his brain worked at a superhuman speed. He knew that the Infinite wasn't absolute; otherwise, people like Toji Zenin with his Inverted Spear of Heaven, Sukuna being Sukuna, the very domains of sorcerers, even Higuruma's judge capable of snatching cursed techniques, or the most known Mahoraga with its adaptability would be able to neutralize it.

There's one thing that, as an author, is carefully handled—no absolutism. When Gojo's Infinite was introduced, it was ludicrously broken, seemingly invincible, and so it was for a long time. However, for a story, something seemingly invincible like Satoru Gojo's Infinite is dangerous; indeed, if not countered or contained, it could be invincible.

Therefore, Gege, the author who hated Satoru Gojo, made it clear through his story that Satoru Gojo's Infinite wasn't simply invincible.

– If there are enemies that Saitama can't defeat with a single punch, "One Punch Man" loses its validity, such as Boros, Garou, and the mosquito.

– If there are weapons that can harm Goku when he's distracted, then the ki of his world isn't so perfect and absolute; Goku was injured by a stone from Krillin in Super Sayan and a laser gun in the base.

– So, if someone broke Gojo's Infinite in its original world, there are ways to break it in other worlds.

Following that logic, Allen teleported away from Loki's dagger, deciding not to rely too much on being immune to all damage.

Allen appeared far away, but not to escape. He clasped his hands, and a small flame appeared at his fingertips. Then, he stretched one of his arms, forming a fire arrow with the tip between his fingers aimed at Loki. In response, Loki simply scoffed, challenging Allen to hurt him.

"Release."

A column of fire rose toward the sky, engulfing Loki. No one knew the details of that technique except Allen, but it was even capable of incinerating the curse of volcanoes, which made as much sense as wetting water.

"Nice try, mortal, but not enough"

Allen opened his eyes when a scarlet laser beam passed by his head. The beam traveled through the sky without slowing or stopping, with such power that it exited the atmosphere into space. Allen didn't turn, but he was aware that several mountains had disappeared.

===

– That...

– Thank goodness the Earth is round!

– ...was...

===

This was too much to take in so quickly; Loki's previous attack surpassed people's imagination, an attack that exited the atmosphere.

"For a long time in Asgard's history... few things have caused as much fear as the Destroyer..."

Loki advanced slowly, tearing off his clothes to reveal the complete Destroyer armor. In its solitary presence, there was no doubt; that it was undeniably a creation with the sole purpose of ending everything.

Loki continued, "Of course, due to the rigorous usage requirements, the Destroyer is scarcely known since hardly anyone has seen it in action..."

===

"Wait, I can't follow the storyline, is that Loki?! The god of lies?!"

Rick - it should be Loki, although the one in my memory was less intimidating... I would even say he was like a pleasant egomaniac.

"What's happening to our world?! Does this happen all the time without us knowing?!"

It wasn't entirely true, nor entirely false; Marvel and DC comics had their moments where everything went to shit. However, in most universes, it's not like that, at least there isn't a bad ending in every universe, and both heroes have their victories and villains have theirs.

The combined speed of Sukuna and Gojo was devastating; in an instant, Allen appeared in front of Loki and aimed his fist at the head, the only part not covered by Loki.

Faster than Loki's reaction, Allen made sure to hold nothing back and struck with all he had. A brief smile appeared on Loki's face before the cursed energy-wrapped fist hit him.

*Black Flash*

Allen's fist distorted space for an instant upon impact with more than double Allen's total power. This created a shockwave that visibly pushed the atmosphere in all directions.

Black Flash produces black and red lightning unlike haki strikes, and it occurs when cursed energy is applied within a millionth of a second of a physical strike.

The entire attack caused many people to cover their ears to prevent damage to their eardrums.

"That's unfair..." said Allen in a calm voice. His eyes narrowed as he looked at Loki; the god hadn't even moved from his spot after the blow. This made Allen suspicious; sharpening his gaze, he could see through the illusion, and Loki's face was replaced by the black helmet of the Destroyer before his eyes.

"A step too late," Loki smiled, stabbing Allen in the abdomen. However, Crown Clown stopped the dagger from penetrating deeply.

Allen kicked Loki, lifting him off the ground and sending him flying. Immediately, he clasped his hands while a red sphere and a blue one appeared behind him.

"Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue"

"Cursed Technique Reversal: Red"

The clash of both infinities created an imaginary mass that now created a vacuum.

Allen stretched his hands forward as a purple flash accumulated on his fingers.

"Hollow Technique: Purple!"

Space distorted significantly as a purple sphere headed toward Loki. One would think Loki would use magic to defend himself or simply teleport away, but that wasn't the case; what Loki did was more absurd.

Clutching his metallic fist, he struck directly at the purple void, dispersing it.

"I'm starting to understand the joy of using your fists from time to time hehe," Loki landed heavily on the ground.

Allen remained calm even in the face of such action from Loki. It's not that he wasn't impressed, but it was still within his expectations.

===

"How could he stop Purple like that?!"

"This makes no sense!"

"That was one of Allen's strongest attacks; I hope everything turns out okay."

MJ – Allen...

Gwen – It's frustrating not to be able to help him

===

Allen launched multiple Cleaves and Dismantles at Loki, seeking maximum effectiveness against his armor, but the result was the same; not a scratch.

'It's not just toughness; something is protecting that armor from damage, magic?'

[Host, it's better to ignore the armor and attack Loki internally]

Allen knew what the system meant; with Ryou, the advanced form of armor haki, he could attack something internally by ignoring its defense.

The only problem was that the Destroyer wasn't just armor; it was infused with Loki's amplified magic.

'Before being able to neutralize something, we must understand it, and that's only achieved through knowledge and trial and error.'

Allen manifested his sword, which he christened Crown Saber, and charged at Loki; for now, direct combat was the best option to understand the Destroyer.

Storm clouds accompanied Allen as Thor joined the fight again and appeared alongside him. They didn't exchange words or even glances, but they both understood they needed to cooperate against Loki Destroyer.

Thor arrived first, surrounded by thunder and lightning.

"Brother, it's good to see you back on your feet," Loki mocked as he drew his fire sword to face Thor, but it was only a second before Thor was sent back due to the power difference. Allen arrived just after Thor with red in his hand and threw it at Loki.

In an instant, the entire ground disintegrated due to red, but Loki only lost balance momentarily.

"Well, folks, after a year and a half of writing, I have to say I've experienced many things, both good and bad.

This hobby started vaguely, and without realizing it, it's been over a year now. I never thought about how serious this was for me before. But at some point, it became part of my daily life to the extent that a part of my last year is just memories of me writing a chapter for one of my stories.

I guess compared to a year ago, my writing improved, and I want to improve to the point where each of my chapters is amazing... unfortunately, I'm only one person, and it's impossible for everything I write to be good.

I'm digressing; until recently, I never considered the idea of starting a Patreon. It's not that I'm rich or have an art-loving mentality, I simply didn't consider myself a good enough author to do it.

Should I? I don't know, I don't want anyone to feel pressured or obligated to do anything; the chapters will come out at least five times a week on Webnovel as always, and I don't plan to reduce the length of my chapters, which is between 2k to 3k.

But it's a shameful reality that I'm just a mundane man in the end, like anyone else, and I should have taken my life seriously.

That's why I decided to open a Patreon...

patreon.com /Mr_Aizen

This feels weird... If anyone is interested, I'll try to make some advanced chapters there.

There are currently two chapters ahead on patreon, since this was an overnight idea, I will complete the two available levels in the next few days.

I'll write them in less than a week without interrupting the regular chapters on Webnovel... who knows, maybe I'll start making daily chapters on both sides if I see support.
