197 Marvel Zombies: Sentry Looking to Devour the Multiverse

*Sentry's POV*

This is strange...

My first thought upon meeting the boy in front of me was that it was very strange, a feeling as if something wasn't right, something that shouldn't be happening was happening.

I still remember how it all started...

One day Hulk fell from the sky and began attacking people in a way that was too cruel. He devoured them alive. He was my friend, and a part of me wanted to understand, but I had to intervene after seeing what had happened.

I attacked Hulk and quickly defeated him; as his friend, I knew the best way to defeat him was by not giving him time to accumulate anger.

I looked at the pitiful figure, I looked at my old friend with pity. I am aware that the Illuminati had expelled him from Earth, but I also know that Hulk managed to make a life on another planet, he even got a wife and a child.

I didn't understand why he was here committing atrocities...

While on the ground, Hulk turned into Banner and begged me for help, naively, I believed him, and he bit me...

That's when I understood what hunger is.

Together we devoured heroes, villains, and several cities. Unfortunately, Hulk was a nuisance because he ate three times more than me, so I was forced to betray him and kill him; I almost succeeded in killing him, but he escaped.

My conflict with him and other zombies lasted decades, but in the end, we won. Time passed, and as expected, the food ran out; we had few options, we pinned our hopes on Hank Pym being able to decipher the Watcher's technology to cross dimensions.

The bastard tried to use me as a battery for the machine... you can't trust anyone anymore. In the end, I managed to cross into this universe, and there was food, a lot of food, and I didn't need to share, or so I thought. But I realized there were too many heroes, and it was only a matter of time before I lost; I suppose it was inevitable to share...

But it didn't matter, so many years had passed since I had eaten so abundantly that I didn't mind leaving many alive.

Everything was fine until that moment, everything felt organic and natural, even Hulk's deception, even Pym's betrayal, even crossing to another universe, everything was fine, everything felt right, and I felt comfortable.

However... this changed when I met this boy; every event that happened because of his presence was too irritating, every word he said, every consequence, "EVERYTHING FEELS WRONG!"

This is very strange!

Something doesn't add up! Something is preventing me from thinking!

I feel like this shouldn't be happening, why?!

...

My eyes fixed on the figure of the boy as he was covered in a great amount of energy. Even though I felt the pressure, I didn't know what to say, my desire to fight was present, and my hunger urged me to devour him.

However, I couldn't help but feel that something was wrong, something deep down told me to run.

NO!

How is it possible for someone like him to exist in anonymity?!

I AM SENTRY!!

I DON'T CARE WHO HE IS!!

I WON'T LET HIM GET IN MY WAY!!

*End of POV*

As if dealing with a broken prey, Sentry unleashed his power beyond his capabilities, causing large cracks to appear in his body.

Sentry is one of the strongest characters in the universe, both in potential and in power, and regardless of the universe, Sentry will not be weak. However, Sentry has a flaw: his power is so great that it is dangerous even for himself. Sentry cannot control the power of a million suns, even after many decades, he could not.

In this situation, he realized that he could not defeat Allen in that way, so Sentry made a bet...

Sentry has been a zombie for many years, and as you have already noticed, Hunger Zombies are capable of assimilating some of the power of those they consume.

Sentry has lived long and eaten many heroes and villains; however, the usefulness of a little extra power for Sentry is like welding spikes to a tank, useless.

But now the man made of suns must trust that all those powers and abilities have strengthened him enough to withstand more power, one million suns!

The power grew with an intensity resembling the birth of the universe. Sentry felt an enormous amount of power.

Despite no longer being human, despite being a monster, Sentry still retains his original power, his original thoughts, and his original memories. Sentry had his pride; he would not be humiliated without being able to respond.

The power of both met, distorting space; Sentry frowned as he struggled to control his power to the fullest.

Allen, on the other hand, had a chilling calmness, no comments even when seeing the change in Sentry, and no movements even when knowing that his opponent was increasing his power.

This silence and tranquility made the spectators uncomfortable. It didn't seem like Allen. They had seen him angry, sad, happy, being a complete idiot, a cruel troll, even when Allen behaved calmly, tired, or unwilling to do something, his silence and gaze were never like this.

"..."

Sentry, on his part, released so much power that it collided with Allen's, causing the fabric of reality to tremble.

"You know?! I almost feel sorry for having to kill you; I would like to just infect you, but I know how strong you are, and as a zombie, not even I can stop you, THAT'S WHY I'LL EAT YOU! TO THE LAST HAIR!"

"..."

Sentry filled with power as the golden power and the purple power destabilized the universe.

===

Ruby - Wait, I understand that Allen is strong if he has the power of a God of Destruction, but was Sentry that strong?!

Aizen - It depends on how powerful you think someone with the power of a million suns is.

Urahara - Hoho~ this is complicated, are we going to see an incredible fight?

Diana - No.

Artemis - How do you know that, Diana?

Diana - Allen is very angry.

===

Allen's eyes retained a deep gleam, but at the same time, his face concealed the calmness of an inactive volcano waiting to erupt.

Sentry, foolishly and overwhelmed by having reached a power he never had in life, prepared to attack with a slight regret that he didn't have the confidence to leave any of Allen's body to eat.

Even if Allen is disintegrated, Sentry is content with this power, he can monopolize all the food for himself. He will return and kill every zombie while slowly and unhurriedly devouring the entire universe.

"I'm ready!" Sentry's fist glowed even more. It was like watching the big bang and judging by the power of that fist it wasn't far off.

Allen's gaze remained calm...

*Allen's POV*

The system managed to gather a large amount of information, and Rebecca also sent the data she obtained.

So I managed to understand a bit of how this world ended up like this, unfortunately, it all started with Sentry, he arrived, and everything ended.

It's not surprising; he's a very strong hero. Literally what happened with Clark, just instead of being a servant of Darkseid, he became a cannibalistic monster...

Apparently, in this world, there is no Sentry, or at least there is no record of this man. He came from another universe, is what we could deduce.

I don't know what happened in his universe, but it must have been a brutal massacre until there was no one left.

This universe was like mine, everyone was living their lives, and all of a sudden it all came to an end!

How long did it take?! Days, hours, maybe minutes?!

It's terrifying, for a speedster like Flash how long would it take him to end the world?!

What if I disappear for a day or get trapped somewhere? what if the world ends in such a horrible way?

I don't want to make a mistake and come back alone to see my world like this...

That's why... even if it means abandoning my morals... my heart... my convictions... I will protect them...

That's why... I will destroy you...

*End of POV*

Allen's eyes lacked mercy as Sentry charged at him; within that zombified gaze, there was once a man who fought to protect others.

However, in Allen's eyes, there was none of that, just a selfish monster that desires everything for itself, just an insatiable monster begging to be ended.

"SENTRY!!"

"AH!!"

Time slowed down for just a moment before they collided, after that, the purple and golden energy slowly disappeared.

In the end, only Sentry and Allen were left facing each other.

Allen had a serious look as a drop of blood came out of his mouth, then he coughed and spat out more blood.

Before the Chat could explode in concern, Sentry spoke, this time calmer, without any aggression.

"You asked me why I didn't end my life when I had the chance," Sentry closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them, "I wish I could give a thousand excuses, but remembering everything I did, I realize that I behaved like a monster. I created a group of zombies, and we enjoyed talking about our great feats as if it were something incredible, hunted survivors, and then ate them."

"..."

Allen didn't reply; then Sentry's fist in his stomach lost strength and fell, Allen, on his part, had his right arm through Sentry's chest.

Sentry smiled faintly, "Including now, I don't regret it... am I truly a monster?"

"I don't think so... it wasn't something bearable even being a god or a cosmic entity, even the noblest of heart couldn't avoid hunger..."

"Hehe, are you consoling me?... thanks, I don't deserve it..."

Sentry's body began to disappear, Allen withdrew his fist and stepped back a bit. The sentry remained in silence, looking at Allen.

"Can you take my power?"

"What?" Allen opened his eyes at Sentry's request.

"I disappointed everything I once was, and this power only caused sorrow and death. If you can use it for something different, perhaps, just perhaps, my soul might have some hope."

Allen sighed, he was the second hero he saw in this state. Aren't the good ones supposed to always win?

"All right..." Allen replied "...I'm Allen Walker..."

"Hm?"

"I don't remember if I introduced myself, but I'm Allen Walker..."

"Allen... I see... thank you."

Allen gritted his teeth "Tsk don't thank me for killing you..." said Allen, making Sentry smile before turning into golden ashes, leaving behind a small miniature sun. Allen approached and took it, despite its size, the sun had a mass comparable to the real sun. Allen didn't have much reaction and decided to let the system store it, then he looked in the direction of the Earth.

...

Artoria's fight continued with a continuous exchange.

The powerful attacks of Excalibur were blocked in very surreal ways.

"Excalibur..." said Artoria, although she already anticipated the result.

Wanda solidified the air to stop the attack, although not entirely, a blast cut her shoulder.

Artoria disappeared, taking advantage of Wanda's distraction, and appeared intending to cut her in half.

Wanda moved her hand, and a mirror appeared in front of Artoria. The King opened her eyes, but immediately her instincts warned her to move away, but it was too late, Artoria was trapped inside the mirror.

Wanda appeared with a mace in her hand and broke the mirror into pieces, it looked like Wanda's victory but from the air, a spear appeared that pierced one of Wanda's arms. She recoiled.

Artoria appeared not far away, she had several scratches on her skin, and her armor had some cracks, these were superficial wounds but in the end were wounds.

Artoria looked seriously at the zombie woman in front of her, she could practically do anything, so predicting her attacks was almost impossible.

Wanda had a similar opinion to Artoria; she wasn't playing, and every attack from the Scarlet Witch was meant to kill. However, Artoria dodged and even blocked everything she did, and in case she couldn't, Artoria's body endured the damage very well.

Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, was once a skilled superheroine, but she had a flaw, and it was that she was afraid of her own powers, so she always held back.

Becoming a zombie, she lost that fear and concern, so her powers developed at a great speed.
