29 It's an Oath

Crystal was stupified. She can't argue with the truth presented by Guy.

A bolt of lightning sent a wave through her brain and messed it up. Cracks appeared in between the line, exposing a cruel reality.

The string of fate that should have been tied to their veins loosened. Crystal abruptly felt she was about to lose something that was destined to be hers.

Somewhere far away inside a luxurious bedroom, a man opened his eyes. The blank looked he had was quietly changing to an interesting expression with a slight smile.

The black inked eyes slowly changed into a silverish grey color.

He spread his palm facing the sky, then a dark blacklight flowed out. The blacklight swirled on the air for a minute before neatly curving into an orb.

The man gazed at the thousand strings revealed inside the orb. He could see one of the strings disconnected itself and coiled on a red string that was as sharp as a sword, stiff and unbending, yet beautifully strong.

His finger counted the time.

A brush of feather-like sound gently resounded on the calm surroundings, "It's starting."

Closing his eyes, he whispered at the sky after taking a deep breath, "I won't lose."

What he said was what he promised to himself.

It's an oath.

It's also a curse.

---

Crystal ran out of the mansion flooding in tears. She took over the car by force before Guy could even say a word to drive carefully. Crystal rushed out with great speed.

On the way, she repeatedly had to wipe her face. Her grip on the wheel was unsteady. Her hand shook from the heartache.

When she recklessly drive without looking around, she didn't notice a car coming from the opposite direction.

Crystal's sight was blurry from the tears so she kept on pushing forward.

The black car seemed to know it would be dangerous, therefore it dodge to the sidelong before Crystal's could come near them.

However, as if fate was trolling with them, Crystal's palm which was sweaty slipped over, making the wheel spun in the black car direction.

Secretary An cussed out of anger. He desperately rotated to avoid the incoming collision.

"Young Master, please hold tight!"

Secretary An made the car glide through the rear and pull the brake slowly in order to minimize the damage, while also making a turn at the end of the brake for fear of crashing to the side road.

Crystal's narrowly missed them and speedily crashed to a block on the side road.

Secretary An's heart thumped loudly, he was so scared they would get into an accident. Cold sweat dripped on his forehead.

Vega who has been in a terrible mood got extremely furious. The eroding aura coming out of him was enough to bring the thunder on earth.

He stepped out of the car with a bang, slamming the door violently.

Secretary An held his phone in case the Young Master decided to lash out, wanting to kill the other person.

Ignoring the pain, Secretary An followed behind Vega. He didn't forget to call an ambulance, give the bodyguards an order to close the road, and tell them to clean up.

The moment Vega walked over to the driver's seat, he directly smashed the window with his bare hands, clearly intending to grab the other's neck and drag them out.

The bodyguards pretended to be blind and did their jobs quietly. Whilst the scaredy-cat Secretary An jolted, his phone fell to the ground.

Vega's wooden face was dark and chilling.

But when his eyes full of killing intent swept over the driver, he froze.

"Uh.. Help me...."

Vega became tongue-tied. His hand was a mile away to grab Crystal, however in the end he chose to withdraw it.

He turned back, expressionlessly saying, "Bring her to the hospital."
