A New School

The first thing I noticed when I stood up was how I was taller. Before, this body had been about 5'9" or 5'8" but now I seemed about 5'11" because I seemed a bit bigger...and that wasn't even factoring in the massive increase in muscle mass.

My once skinny and slender frame filled out with muscle and flesh. Touching and prodding at the muscle, I couldn't help but wonder how the book does this - some kind of magic probably.

'But how does it turn experience into muscle? It even made me taller...' I stood there in thought for a few seconds before I rapidly got dressed. While doing that, I discovered that I could move my body with ease and efficiency unlike what I ever could do before. It was like before I was wading through mud and sludge every time I moved and now I was free of such restrictions. This feeling made me feel free. Like a bird finally let out of a cage.

I attributed this to the multiple skills given to me by that life.

Luckily, mom had brought the school uniform a few sizes big just in case I had a growth spurt. We didn't have bundles of money, so we had to think ahead. Even if there was little chance of me having a sudden growth spurt at the age of 17...but I guess such thinking paid off, huh?

Smiling, I shook my head at myself, 'I'm already thinking of her as my mom...What a drag being in a new body is. I've already experienced being abandoned by one set of parents, so let's see what this mom does in the future~' nonchalantly thinking about it, I reckoned I could easily survive on my own if it came down to it. But to be honest, I had no doubt that this mom would never abandon me. From the memories I have...she's a very loving mother. If she wasn't, she would've abandoned me after this body's father left. But she didn't and she stayed and began working a multitude of part-time jobs to pay bills and rent and such.

Scratching the back of my head, feeling uncomfortable with the knowledge that this was technically now my mom, I sighed before walking back over to my desk. Looking at the clock there, it showed I had half an hour to get to school and I found myself shaking my head at my mom's overreactions.

'Late? Even if I didn't get these skills from the book I couldn't possibly be late with this much time to spare...' I wryly smiled before sitting down at the desk and opening the book. It still said the same thing as it did when I woke up.

[You have earned 10,000 fighting and survival experience.]

[You have earned: 'Martial Arts Mastery', 'Ninjutsu Mastery', 'Cold Weapons Mastery', 'Super Senses', 'Innate Divine Strength' and 'Efficient Body'.]

Seeing these skills, I wondered if I could do certain things the original MC of 'I Stack Experience Through Writing Books' didn't do. Like certain questions to the book that could help me understand my new skills and whatnot.

{Can you explain what each of these new skills does?}

[Yes.]

I wrote down that I wanted it to explain the skills and a few seconds and a flash of light later and the page was filled with explanations on what each of the skills did.

[Martial Arts Mastery - You have gained a mastery in enough martial art styles for it to be compiled into one category. This allows you to perform said moves with a degree of understanding though further training will help make full use of the experience gained.]

[Ninjutsu Mastery - You have gained mastery over the mysteries of a Ninja, a Japanese Assassin. You understand how to employ stealth, combat skills unique to Ninjas and psychological warfare to whittle down any opponent or target you choose to go after. This allows you to perform said actions with a degree of understanding though further training with help make full use of the experience gained.]

[Cold Weapons Mastery - You have gained a mastery in enough cold weapons for it to be compiled into one category. This skills allows you to use weapons like you've been training them for years and have a degree of understanding of their proper use though further training will help make full use of the experience gained.]

Super senses was exactly what it sounds like - my senses are incredibly keen and focused. The only reason I haven't recoiled in pain is because I have the experience from the dream on how to control them and make sure I don't always have my senses tuned to their maximum range.

Innate Divine Strength was exactly what it sounded like as well. It's basically just a skill that strengthens my muscles, bones and tendons and means my muscles contract harder, faster and more efficiently than a normal human's ever could. My bones and tendons/ligaments are also beyond what a normal human's ever could be. It basically gives me an insanely strong body - partly through the muscles naturally being better but also because my body doesn't have a limiter on the physical strength it can use like most ordinary people. Basically, I can use 100% of my supernaturally strong muscles which only makes me even stronger.

Like with the other skills, I can train it to be better as well.

Efficient Body, however...that was a bit more than I was expecting it to be.

[Efficient Body - Through the ancient training of a clan of monstrous martial artists, you learnt how to bring your body into absolute efficiency. This skill gives you bodily systems that are totally efficient, with absolutely no wasted energy or effort on your part. This allows you to make best use of your bodily systems, including metabolism, immune system, temperature regulation, digestion, movement, muscular system, etc., without having to expend/waste unnecessary effort or energy to make sure its working the way it's supposed to.]

'...And the strong get stronger,' I raised my eyebrows in surprise before standing up and jumping up and down a few times. Each time I could control the exact amount of energy I'd expend depending on the height at which I wanted to jump...'So this is efficiency, huh?' I wondered as I continued to jump up and down silently.

Each jump was the exact same in height and energy expenditure. No variations...at all.

'An efficient body...What an interesting power to gain. Efficiency should maximize both stamina and power usage...but it seems to do so much more for my body--I wonder why? No wasted energy means I get more energy to work with,' thinking to myself, I stopped jumping before slipping on some socks and then walking down the stairs toward where my mom was.

Explaining the sudden growth spurt shouldn't be too hard, should it? My muscle is mostly covered up by the baggy uniform, so I should be fine. 'Should be' being the operative word.

. . .

Sitting at my school desk, I looked around and recognized quite a few characters. All I had to say was:

I made the right decision picking what I did last night. The skills I had now would no doubt help me immensely. For one, I could see multiple different people from martial arts-based anime. The one sitting next to me was Kenshin Himura and on the other side was Amou Kirukiru.

Not only that I could see multiple other people who could be just as strong as these two. And because these worlds had been mixed together, I didn't know if some characters would be weaker or much, much stronger.

I just rest my head on my crossed arms, thinking about how I matched up to them. I was probably physically stronger the Amou Kirukiru - I had an inhuman amount of strength from the life as a Murim martial artist/assassin. But would I be able to keep up with people like Kenshin Himura? He should be around Subsonic in speed, right? Clenching my jaw a little, I shrugged and realized I'd probably find out soon enough. Not like I had to fight these people either. We'd most likely end up working together, if I had to guess what's gonna happen.

Why do I say that? Because I can see certain people in this classroom and because there's a certain amount of them here...I can only assume their plot is gonna happen.

Especially seeing as the protagonist from that series is here...

The door opened and a man walked in, followed by two other men dressed in a similar way to the first man. The first man was someone I actually recognized and a man who proved what I just thought to be correct. 'That' plot was going to happen. The man was my height, being 5'11", and he looked quite muscular even under the formal suit he was wearing. He had spikey black hair and equally sharp black eyes. This man turned to the class as he stood behind the podium and most, if not all, of the students could tell this man meant business and that he was...strong.

"Hello," he started, his voice deep and serious beyond belief, "My name is Tadaomi Karasuma and I'm a member of the Ministry of Defense. Some of you have been forcefully relocated to this class from other classes you would've been in while others of you have been given money and other such favors from the Japanese Government so that you would join this school...We would like to show you the reason for why," the man sighed before he looked to the door and it opened again. Then the air all around the classroom became incredibly turbulent but I didn't take my eyes off of the door.

Nearly too quick to see, a yellow blur dashed into the classroom and like it had no momentum at all, it stopped just behind Karasuma and we could all get a good look at it.

The yellow blur had the appearance of a yellow octopus, honestly. He(?) is about three meters tall and possesses a large, bulbous head with a large smile that seemed to rarely moves and small, beady eyes. He uses two tentacles as arms, each having two feelers as fingers, and utilized the rest of his tentacles to walk.

His clothing consists of a black academic dress, a small black squarish academic cap with a yellow tassel, and a large black tie with a yellow crescent-shaped moon on it.

"Nice to meet you," one of his tentacle arms came up, gesturing to the class like he was waving, "I'm the one who blew up the moon. I plan to blow up the Earth next year as well. I'm also your new homeroom teacher! I look forward to the next year we'll be spending together," he gave a small bow and even as the two agents besides Karasuma pointed guns at his head, his smile never left his face.

'...Wait, the moon blew up...? Why the hell wasn't that in my memories?!?'
