6 First Day of Class

Rubbing his hands together, Chu Fan thought for a couple of seconds.

"Alright we'll split into groups for prep. The breakfast foods today will consist of youtiao and sweetened marsh cow milk and either vermilion hen rice porridge or mushroom medley porridge. One group will focus on the youtiao, and the other two will focus on the porridges. Let's get started." stated Chu Fan firmly.

The puppets gathered into three groups at this moment and made their way to getting the meals prepped. As this cafeteria was on a made-to-order the food had to be made fresh.

Many of the puppets pulled out whatever vermilion hen meat that they had left in the cold storage and began deconstructing it for flesh and bones. The rice was being boiled and the mushrooms were being chopped. The youtiao dough was ready to be fried on order and the milk was sweetened properly. And Chu Fan would give further specific instructions when needed.

The sounds of a functioning kitchen could be heard and Chu Fan was excited for his first day of operation.

And as the kitchen finished prepping, they began to prepare for disciples to arrive in the hall.

It was opening hour around 7 o'clock and breakfast would stop at 10 o'clock; but still no disciples had shown up yet. Chu Fan had anticipated this and stood at the entrance to the cafeteria to give samples to any passing disciples.

After almost two hours had passed without a soul coming nearby. Until at this moment a small group of disciples appeared. They were curious as to why such enticing smells were coming from the cursed cafeteria; and they wondered if this small child chef was capable of breaking such a curse.

"How come that cursed cafeteria is emitting such nice smells. Surely there can't be any good foods there." stated one in the crowd.

"Surely we must be too desperate and are having illusions." protested another in the group.

"Regardless, what harm would there be in tasting one dish. At most it will taste bad and confirm our worst fears." said the bravest amongst there group.

And so the small group of five disciples walked over to Chu Fan with his samples.

"Senior disciples, would you like to try a sample. Today is the grand opening of the cafeteria and I hope you can spread the word about the great foods here." bowed Chu Fan.

"This junior, have you not heard of the curse of the cafeteria?" asked one of the disciples.

"Hm? What curse? The only cursed thing here were the former chefs that worked here. They didn't have the ability and fate for working here that's why they left. The cafeteria was in such a poor state when I came; but now it's brand new and I can promise you good food." Chu Fan boldly stated.

"Really, then let me try out a sample." said the bravest one as he reached his hand out to grab a spoonful of the rice porridge.

The porridge entered his mouth and his eyes lit with excitement before he started crying. The richness of the vermilion hen broth and the melt-in-your-mouth rice invoked scenes of his childhood; he saw his mother cooking for him in their little farm village and his father was just about to leave to chop wood.

He had not had such great food for so long; he almost had forgotten the joys that good food gave him. And he knelt towards Chu Fan and kowtowed to him.

"Great Chef, I didn't mean to doubt your abilities. It's been so long since I've tasted such wonderful cooking. Please feed me." he seemingly plead for forgiveness.

The other disciples were shocked at what had become of their senior brother; and they rushed in for a taste of the porridge, cleaning the plate of any rice and soup.

Soon they began to kneel and cry as their senior disciple had done before them.

"Please feed us too, great chef." they pronounced as they kowtowed.

With a smug smile on his face Chu Fan laughed and exclaimed, "Of course I can feed you. Bring all your friends and this great chef will have you fed. Those that deny my greatness will swiftly kneel at the slightest taste of my food." And he pointed his left thumb at himself.

After conversating for a while, Chu Fan lead the group of five disciples inside to have their meals.

He presented them the breakfast choices near the entrance located near a tall stone that kept count.

After motioning their identification badges over a counting stone at the entrance; the disciples made their way to be seated and have their orders taken by the puppets.

The counting stone's main purpose served to keep a count of how many students ate each day and an overall count of how many had eaten in the month. It was useful for the head chef as it allowed him to plan certain meals according to what the disciples liked.

As the five disciples sat they began placing their orders to a puppet waiting on them.

"Three vermilion hen rice porridge sets and two mushroom medley rice porridge sets. Let's get rolling." stated the tallest puppet in the kitchen.

Sounds of crackling could be heard as the youtiao was being fried and the thick soup could be heard being ladled into the porcelain bowls. The entrancing smells of bread and porridge began to waft and make the group uneasy. Eventually a bell rang and the puppet waiting the group proceeded to pick up and deliver their order.

Receiving their meal sets, the group couldn't help but smack their lips in anticipation, they even began salivating as they panted.

They looked at one another and scooped a spoonful of the, still piping hot, rice porridge into their mouths with no hesitation. They began to pant as they had slightly burned their tongues; but they seemed to be ecstatic.

They then tore the youtiao and placed it in the sweet milk and slurped it. To their surprise their eyes widened and rolled to the back of their heads as they savored every morsel of the fluffy dough and sweetened milk mixture.

It had been many years since the sect cafeteria had decent food. The disciples had to either go to the metropolis below and use their hard-earned pocket money on good food or exchange their sect credits for fasting pills and dried rations. Knowing that their years of suffering had now disappeared, the five disciples ate gleefully.

They had merely eaten a standard breakfast meal but they were no different than children having their first fix of sugar. They scarfed every bit of food down and even began licking the bowls clean.

"May we please have another, great chef?" exclaimed the group of five.

Shaking his head and finger, Chu Fan stated, "No, only one meal per student. As I am in charge of your daily meals; I must also limit your food consumption. Too much foods may result in a build up of impurities in your bodies, leading to the stagnation of your cultivation. Now, go to class. In the future there may be other meal options look forward to it and spread the word of my great food."

The group hesitated for a moment and nodded at the point brought up by this great chef and could only leave in disappointment.

After the small group of five left for classes, it was time to close up and get prepped for lunch. And so Chu Fan started planning out the lunch menu; he would make his way to the cold storage lockers that the sect kept all their meats and vegetables in.

He first checked the meat locker and all he found were marshland pigs and rice field ducks. After that he checked the vegetable locker and all he found were garlic, green onions, spinach, bean sprouts, a mixture of stinky tofu and regular tofu.

Thinking for a couple of seconds he began to write his menu for lunch and dinner. For Lunch: meat sandwich and spicy pork noodles. For Dinner: roast duck and spicy deep fried tofu with bean sprouts.

Chu Fan then wrote and gave instructions in detail to the tallest puppet and it began directing the others to begin boiling the pork with spices, making pita bread, and kneading dough for the noodles in preparation for lunch.

Chu Fan satisfied at the scene started heading towards the study halls as he was a studying disciple and was allowed to go to certain classes. Today's class was Cultivation 101, a general introductory class for all new disciples; Chu Fan was permitted to enter such class.

As many students were excited about their first day, there was a lot of chatter in class. Many of the new disciples who were new to cultivation made an appearance; some that had cultivator families made an effort to skip such introductory classes as they were personally taught from a young age.

Among the students that showed up were all the new disciples of Forest peak: Yao Lingyan, Da Bao, and Tian Han.

Among the rest of the crowd was Zhu Zhong also. He sat in the uppermost corner a lonely soul, anticipating Chu Fan's appearance.

A person entered the room. It was a senior disciple; she was given the task of teaching the new students and introducing the sect's general cultivation method: Heaven-Guiding Palm Technique. It was a general introduction technique that required one to practice with hard palm strikes while controlling their breathing. It also came with a qi gathering manual: Spirit Sword Formation Art. In return for teaching these students the senior disciple would be gifted many sect points she could spend to further her cultivation.

She began distributing the cultivation slips to the students.

"All right, junior disciples. Take your seats, I am your senior disciple, Duan Mu. I shall be teaching you Cultivation 101 today. I've already handed out to you the cultivation slips. We shall commence by introducing ourselves." stated Duan Mu.

And so the students began introducing themselves.

"Hello everyone. I am a student of Scorcher Peak, my name is Ah G-" the student had been interrupted.

All was going fine until suddenly the classroom door was flung open; silencing the student introducing himself. The figure that would enter was a fat short one, he had short hair and his cheeks were plump and rosy. This person was Chu Fan who had arrived late to class.

Chu Fan scratched his head and nervously chuckled, he then bowed towards the senior disciple and apologized, "This little junior disciple is sorry for being late. I was busy and arrived just now. Please forgive me."

As he lifted his head he glanced at the class until he spotted Zhu Zhong; where he began smiling and waving to the now elated Zhu Zhong.

The senior disciple only shook her head and said, "It's fine, just don't let this happen too many times in the future or I'll have to punish you. I'm your instructor Duan Mu; here's your cultivation slips, now go and take your seat."

And Chu Fan received his cultivation slips and hurriedly ran to plop his behind in the seat next to Zhu Zhong, that the latter had been saving for him. The two smiled at one another as they greeted each other.

These two buddies would get weird glances from the other disciples. One especially menacing glare was given to Chu Fan by Yao Lingyan as she was already suspecting Chu Fan of exposing her to Zhu Zhong.

Chu Fan noticed her laser-beamed glares and smiled back at her; he then made hand motions that drew a moon in mid-air before slapping his palms together, creating a loud slap.

Noticing what he was referring to, Yao Lingyan blushed and turned her reddened face towards her feet; she cursed him inwardly for knowing her secret and having seen her naked body. Even though she had seen his body too; being a boy, he was the one who benefited the most from that event.

"Damn detestable pervert, I'll get you back one day." she muttered to herself.

The class resumed their introductions one by one until it was Chu Fan's turn.

"Hello everyone. My name is Chu Fan. Everyone will come to know me soon as one not to be underestimated. For I will one day defy fate itself and become a hero for all to know. Of course, you will also come to know me as your head che-" almost finishing his introduction he was interrupted.

"Boom." the sound was made as someone pushed the door to the classroom.

A little girl came into the classroom. She looked no older than Chu Fan, maybe even younger by a year. She was the daughter of the current sect chief, Hun Lian.

"Young Mistress, what brings you to this class today?" the senior disciple asked as she bowed in greeting.

"I'm here to learn of course. Father has been too busy to teach me any cultivation or give me advice. Is there a problem with me coming to Cultivation 101?" asked Hun Lian as she stared down Duan Mu.

"Of course not, young mistress. Please, take a seat." Duan Mu said in an apologetic tone.

"Then I'll sit wherever I feel like sitting." she stated.

The reason why she came to such class was that she was interested in Zhu Zhong as he was new to the sect and he always carried a determined face as well as a stoic aura. She was naturally attracted to him.

She began scanning the classroom until she spotted her father's new direct disciple, Zhu Zhong, smiling and having a good time. She smiled and made her way up the classroom until she stood in front of Chu Fan.

"I'll take this seat, now get lost. It's only fitting that I be seated next to my father's direct disciple as I know nobody else here." she declared.

The mood in the classroom darkened at this moment as all the people present shifted their eyes towards Chu Fan. Zhu Zhong had lost all traces of happiness as he began to stare intensely at the imposing girl in front of Chu Fan.

Chu Fan then chuckled and shook his head.

"No, had you asked nicely, I might have allowed you to be seated next to my little Zhong here. But seeing as you are on a higher pedestal, you don't deserve to sit with us lowly disciples with no background." Chu Fan made it a point to deny this girl what she wanted.

"How audacious, I always get what I want. I'll have you know that my father is the sect chief." stated the fuming Hun Lian.

Chu Fan shrugged his shoulders and chuckled lightly.

"And? That doesn't mean anything to me. Your father is the one with merits in the sect. If anything I'd expect for you to behave with more humility given your status. To abuse your background as such is a travesty to your ancestors." Chu Fan said as he shook his head.

"How dare you lecture me! No one gets to lecture me besides my mom and dad! For that you will suffer!" she said as she raised her hand.

Hun Lian's hand moved downwards in a swooping motion as she slapped Chu Fan across the face.

"Pah!" a crisp sound was made as her hand made contact with his left cheek.

Chu Fan swiftly stood up and promptly smacked Hun Lian back with his right palm.

"Smack!" was the sound that came after Chu Fan's right hand made contact with Hun Lian's left cheek.

Hun Lian was so dumbfounded, she'd never been hit back before; not even by her parents. She stumbled backwards before falling into the lap of a female disciple sitting across from Chu Fan.

The whole class fell silent as they stared at Chu Fan, even Zhu Zhong was stunned by the actions of his longtime sworn brother. This wasn't the Chu Fan that was always so cheerful, it was his pent-up feelings of anguish reaching a breaking point.

"Y-You, how dare you? No one in their entirety has ever dared to lay a hand on me, not even my parents. I am gonna have my father exile you." she shouted with hatred.

Chu Fan could only glare at her as he lost his patience.

"Let this be the first lesson you ever receive in life. You even with your high standing will someday meet those that disregard your status. Without your father or your mother's merits, you are no different from us commoners. Though I may seem simple in many aspects, I've had my fair share of suffering. You, who will ever know the pain of torture; or the fear of not knowing if you'll be able to eat. This lesson to you is one of humility and respect for others." he explained as he swiftly walked away angered by the insolent girl.

The whole class had an awkward silence as the students even refused to look at each other as they pondered Chu Fan's words and their past actions in life. And Hun Lian stood there silently with tears in her eyes as she reflected on lesson she was just taught.

He made his way down the steps and bowed to the senior disciple teaching the class.

"Big sister Duan Mu, I'm sorry for my actions today. Though I wish to remain and listen to your lecture; I must leave as I have errands to run in the cafeteria. If ever you are hungry, you can find me in the cafeteria and I'll make something for you. I shall take my leave now."

He swiftly exited the classroom full of silent students.

There would be an awkward silence before the senior disciple resumed the class. The class would become alive again as the junior disciples gossiped amongst themselves about the daring and audacious new head chef of the school cafeteria.

"He's pretty crazy, even daring to slap the sect chief's daughter. His food must reflect his attitude, I'll have to try it out later.

Hun Lian would sit quietly for the rest of class in another corner and Chu Fan's seat would remain undisturbed. Zhu Zhong, would remain quiet and only take short glances at the sect chief's, now embarrassed, daughter. Hun Lian had learned a great lesson in humility that day, which would change the way she talked to others.

Chu Fan didn't hate the girl; he merely felt that her ignorance needed to be addressed. If such actions were left without any means of discipline; she would become even more spoiled and possessive of the hero, potentially killing him to disallow anyone else from having him.

Chu Fan, in his past life, had also suffered at the hands of bullies. He resolved himself to not be bullied in this life; or he would at least put up a fight against any injustices done onto him.

To blow off his steam, he made his way to Forest Peak to meditate and self-reflect.

As he found his way to Forest Peak he saw a lone figure sweeping the steps of Forest Peak's main hall.

His eyes lit as he knew this "sweeping monk" person to be a secret powerhouse of Forest Peak. He could almost be mistaken for a mere servant of the sect; but if someone paid close attention to him they'd know he was special.

Disciples wouldn't dare approach him as they evaded his gaze, he swept the same area for hours on end, and he wore robes of a significantly darker and higher quality of cloth: consisting of blue winter silk.

Chu Fan walked up to the sweeping elder and greeted with a fist-hand salute.

"Hello elder, today is a nice day isn't it. I'm a new disciple here and seemed to have lost my way. Can you point me in the direction of Forest Peak's library?" asked Chu Fan.

The sweeping elder was shocked to have someone talking to him and paused for a few seconds while looking at the youth before him. He than pointed out the direction of Forest Peaks library and smiled.

Chu Fan in delight smiled back and waved as he left.

"Thank you elder. Ah, if you're ever hungry, come to the cafeteria. I'm the new head chef, Chu Fan. I'll cook you up a meal as thanks." he stated as he disappeared.

The sweeping elder smiled while he shook his head and mumbled, "I might have to take you up on that offer one day young kid."

Chu Fan found his way to the library and chose a quiet corner to study. With eyes glistening, he pulled out the introductory cultivation slips he had just acquired.

He was excited about finally being able to experience the mystical cultivation arts of this world.

The stages of Qi Energy Formation held the same names as those in other xianxia and followed the same rules. Chu Fan would have to enter the nine levels of Qi Condensation stage and go up from there.

He held one of the slips up his forehead and poured his conscience and focus into the slip.

Everything grew dark as he was transported to space, many stars illuminated the skies. Before he could bask in the setting around him, words began to form in front of him: Spirit Sword Formation Art.

Images of phantoms forming hand seals surfaced; followed by mnemonics for the cultivation.

To form a spirit sword, a cultivator would have to harness and compress qi into the form of a sword or blade they imagined in the mind. Every cultivator of the Spirit Sword Formation Art had their own distinct spirit sword. There are nine levels to this standard cultivation art; and with each level of mastery, one could form more swords.

The first mnemonics that appeared pertained to the gathering of qi necessary for sword forming. It pertained to breathing exercises and feeling the qi run throughout the veins of the body. Since the essence of life itself stemmed from breathing, it was the most important part to elementary qi gathering.

Chu Fan then began to do as the cultivation slip said and took deep breathes while making an effort to feel the qi surrounding him. And then he remembered the cultivation method of a xianxia that refereed to breathing also; in this xianxia, the hero breathed in qi through his very pores. As qi is a pure form of energy, it was not limited to being absorbed through the nostrils and mouth.

And Chu Fan felt his pores open as he took to his sudden inspiration. After a few seconds, the qi in the air began to distort and become disturbed as it began to funnel into a small fat child in the lotus position.

Deep in his thought, Chu Fan did not notice that he had started to form a thick layer of musty and grimy dark substance on his skin. Soon he was encased in the substance but he still stayed in meditation.

He kept absorbing qi until he felt a crack at the tip of his skull, like a layer of glass had shattered. Immediately, he felt himself become lighter. He had broken through the first layer of cultivation easily.

He opened his eyes and finally noticed the smell he was emitting and wretched.

"Ugh-, what? Is this the fabled impurities of the mortal body?" he asked himself.

Forgetting about continuing to cultivate, he made his way to the bath house and cleaned himself. After putting on a new set of robes, he noticed it was getting dark and headed to the cafeteria.

When he was done with everything it was already time for dinner and he made his way to the kitchen as he needed to be present as the head chef.

When he arrived at the cafeteria, he noticed that there was a line out of the cafeteria entrance. The disciples then began yelling at him.

"This little fat disciple, no cutting in line. Go to the back like everybody else and queue up." said a frustrated disciple.

Chu Fan did nothing but shake his head and make his way into the cafeteria. This only served to anger the senior disciple who ran to grab Chu Fan's collar.

"Dammit. Didn't your parents teach you to respect your elders? I told you to queue up, now go to the back." said the angry disciple.

Chu Fan understood that this crass individual was frustrated and short-tempered from waiting in line so long for dinner. And so he didn't hold it against him.

Their little commotion had attracted a crowd at the entrance. Disciples began to circle and disciples who were already eating began to carry their food out to view the spectacle of a disciple being beaten.

A certain group of five disciples were holding and eating duck legs when they chose to go spectate. Their pupil dilated when they noticed the little fat disciple being lifted off the ground by his collar.

"Head Chef! What are you doing? Unhand the Head Chef this instant." the group muttered as they made their way through the crowd in front of them.

Hearing the words, "head chef", the disciples began to awkwardly look around for any individuals that met their inner description of a chef. After thinking for a while, all the spectators stiffened as they centered their sights on a little fat kid with a scar on his glabella.

The disciples began to laugh in disbelief. There was no way that an eight year old was the one that broke the curse; and also be the one to cook such delicious foods. They imagined the new head chef to be an older man who looked like he had been in the kitchen for more than twenty years.

The crowd continued to laugh for many seconds until they realised that they had yet to really meet the new head chef. Realizing that, they began to look around for any chef-like persons.

The crowd began discussing amongst themselves when one of the five disciples holding duck legs shouted, "The puppets, the puppets can confirm he's the head chef."

Chu Fan then smirked and looked at the disciple holding him. The disciple wrinkled his eyes as he re-examined the fat kid in his grip. He then let Chu Fan down as he too, was curious if the junior disciple in front of him was truly the head chef.

Chu Fan lead the way into the cafeteria where he entered the kitchen and stood in front of the tallest puppet. The kitchen doorway was packed with disciples full of anticipation; the counter separating the kitchen from the dining area was also full of spectators.

"Greetings Head Chef!" the tall puppet said as it bowed along with all the other puppets.

Chu Fan nodded with satisfaction saying, "Good job everyone! Keep up the great work."

He turned his head towards the disciple who was holding him and smiled.

"I-I-Impossible!" said the angry disciple.

"Hmph! Nothing's impossible when you're Chu Fan. Of course, that means you'd have to have the capacity to be me." he said as he pointed at himself with his thumb.

The angry disciple then quickly plead, "This senior disciple is sorry for my earlier mistake. I am the direct disciple of Scorcher Peak, Ye Qing. I have some Qi Gathering Pills here. Hopefully this can redress this grievance between us."

Chu Fan had noticed that this senior seemed to stick out from the crowd earlier. He had happened to be Scorcher Peak's direct disciple. Chu Fan could not help but laugh.

He received the Qi Gathering Pills that were presented by Ye Qing.

"Thank you senior Ye Qing. This little junior disciple was actually in need of some Qi Gathering Pills. How about this? As you've had to wait for food. How about I personally make dessert for everybody here?" asked Chu Fan.

"Yay!" everybody cheered as they began making there way to find seating spaces.

"Now what dessert shall I cook for you?" Chu Fan asked the empty doorway.

From the corner of his eyes, Chu Fan spotted a familiar person earlier. It was the cross-dresser, Yao Lingyan.

She had been following him ever since he exited the library. She had gone to study her cultivation slips. But smelling the stench of impurities on Chu Fan; she curiously followed him.

"Hmph! I don't care what you make for dessert. I'm just disappointed that you didn't receive a spanking." she harrumphed.

"I know, I'll make you something out of milk. It will help you grow strong and healthy." he said sarcastically.

Chu Fan then turned around and started to help the puppets finish the dinner rush; that alone would take another hour to feed everybody present.

The dessert he had planned to make was a simple pudding. More specifically flan; which he instructed the tallest puppet to prepare thirty minutes beforehand.

All that he had to do now was chill the pudding. After waiting for a while he presented the desserts to all the disciples patient enough to wait for his dessert.

"Desserts ready! Eat up, everybody!" exclaimed Chu Fan.

And all the remaining disciples circled around the counter as they stared at the delicate jiggly pudding.

"What manner of dessert is this?" asked a curious disciple.

"It's one of my creations. Try it; I assure you, you'll like it." Chu Fan said as he handed out plates of pudding and spoons.

The disciples began to eat. And as they ate, their eyes widened as the pudding melted in their mouths and enveloped their tongues. Discernible moans of ecstasy were heard from many students as they savored the food. Unashamed by the noises that came from them, the disciples continued to eat and lick their plates clean.

Yao Lingyan had initially refused to eat any dessert at first; but seeing the delighted faces of those that ate made her want a plate. As she reached out for a plate, the disciples began raiding the counter for second servings.

Before Yao Lingyan knew it, all the plates were gone and the pudding was all gone.

After chatting for a bit and singing praises to Chu Fan; the disciples swiftly made their way to their dorms. The only ones left in the cafeteria were the puppets, Chu Fan, and Yao Lingyan.

Chu Fan and the puppets had started cleaning and Yao Lingyan stood there quietly. She had secretly wanted to try out the dessert and patiently waited her turn.

Yet before she could try any of the sweet delicacy; it had disappeared into thin air.

Chu Fan didn't think much of her standing there until he noticed tears streaming down Yao Lingyan's face. This girl had been crying silently to herself after everybody left.

"Gosh, she really wanted to try that pudding didn't she." he muttered to himself.

Yao Lingyan was a princess of the northern nation. She was used to trying and eating many foods. She had a refined palate and loved desserts as well as spicy foods.

And this dessert, being a never before seen dish to her, peaked her interest. So being denied a chance to taste it made her cry and miss home; where she would have been able to eat as much of it as long as she willed it.

Chu Fan made his way into the vegetable locker where he had kept a single serving of pudding for himself after closing up the cafeteria. He knew that Yao Lingyan wanted to try his dessert as he watched her with anticipation as he served the dessert. But before she could try it, the counter was rushed and she was left with nothing but the scent and satisfied faces of those around her.

Being a gentle person, Chu Fan was weak towards crying girls and children provided they held no ill intent towards him.

And so he headed into the vegetable locker where he had kept a single serving of pudding for himself after closing the cafeteria.

He walked up to her and placed the pudding at a table near where Yao Lingyan stood sobbing silently.

"I was saving this for later, but it seems you haven't had any yet. I refuse to let you leave before trying my dessert." he said with a harrumph.

She smiled and seated herself, she knew of his noble intention.

Chu Fan walked past the now happy girl and patted her on the head and made his way to sit across from her. Yao Lingyan only blushed at Chu Fan sitting across from her.

"Eh, so what kind of desserts do you eat in the northern nation?" asked the curious Chu Fan.

"Ah, we have many desserts: sweet soup balls, pumpkin pancake, and many fruitcakes. My favorite dessert though, is the egg custard buns from this eastern nation." stated the now enthusiastic Yao Lingyan.

"Ah, then I have an idea of what I can make you next time." said the happy Chu Fan.

And they sat there chatting the night away about foods and desserts; forgetting their enmities.

When they finished talking, they made their way to their dorm to get ready for the day ahead of them. And they fell asleep quickly that night as their stress had lessened a great deal.

Chu Fan was looking forward to the next day as it was the weekend and he had time away from the kitchen.

He woke up and got dressed. He then made his way in the direction of the portal array separating the metropolis below from the sect.

He had chose to spend his day exploring the city below.
