5 I'M NOT LIKE HIM

"Thank you brother-in-law!" Hana exclaimed. But a thought came to her mind, and her smile faded.

"What's wrong? You don't like it?" Haru asked.

"No, I love it. It's just, you remind me of brother Yuan. He always gives me a lot of presents." She said as she took of the bow and looked at it. "But he left, and sister cried when he left. I don't like seeing sister cry." She said as she rubbed her eyes, stopping the tears. "Don't tell me you're going to leave too." She said as she took a hold of his sleeve.

'Yuan, you bastard! You even hurt a child.' He thought. He grabbed Hana and turned her to face him. "Don't worry. I won't leave. I'm not

like him." Hana smiled.

...

Ame saw the scene downstairs and smiled to herself. 'They already got along. That was quick.' Haru noticed her watching them from above. "Done packing?"

"Yep." She said as she came down the stairs. "Should we go then?"

Haru nodded. All of them sent both of them off.

...

They had a long, long talk on the way home. "...So, what did you do about her?" Ame laughed.

"She didn't stop bothering me so I fired her on her second day of work." Haru laughed, keeping his eyes on the road.

"How cruel! Poor thing, you couldn't just have waited for her to finish even a month or just made her resign? How bad would that look on her resume?" She laughed. "What? You're okay with hearing about a girl who was flirting with your fianće?" Haru asked, giving her "the look".

"Eh? It's not that. I mean, you fired her right away, right? If not, I would've headed straight to your company and beat the living death out of of her." She said trying to be serious as she cracked her knuckles. But Haru couldn't hold his laughter. "Hey! I'm serious!" She said as she furrowed her eyebrows and hit him in the shoulder.

"If you say so." He was tearing up in laughter. "Maybe I should hire her back just to see what you'd do."

"Try it and see what I'd do to YOU." She said, giving him "the look".

"Heh, just kidding honey." He stopped teasing her.

...

"Ame, do you like me?" Haru asked seriously.

"Of course I do!" She said with a smile.

"Do you love me?" Haru asked.

"I..." Ame looked down, not knowing what to say.

"How about him? Do you still love him?" Haru asked. And Ame knew who he was referring to, even though she doesn't know why he knows. "No." She said firmly as she faced him. "I don't, and I shouldn't have. He's was not worth it." She said as Haru stopped the car. "What's wrong?" She asked.

Haru faced her, and gave her a big smile. "Nothing. I'm just glad, at least you don't have him in your heart anymore. At least you have room for me now." His smile was so sincere, and his words, so pure. He pounced at her and hugged her tightly. She as taken aback, but then returned his embrace.

She wanted to give love another chance. She wasn't fully prepared, and didn't want to rush. She decided to completely let go of Yuan in her heart, because she didn't want to use someone to forget someone else. she wanted to love Haru for who he is. She has decided. But can she truly love someone just because she decided to? She was the type of person to love with all she's got after all.

...

"We're here." Haru said as he put the hand luggage Ame brought with her. "The moving truck with the rest of your things will be arriving a little later. Let's go?" Haru said as he took her by the hand and led her out.

"Wait, where are we going?" She was confused. "I still have a lot of unpacking to do. And don't you have to go to work as well?"

"Leave those be for now. Your room is already prepared and I told the maids to take the luggage up there already. I've also instructed them to get your things when the moving truck arrives." He explained as he opened the car door. "You're not in a hurry are you? You're the one who said you want to take it slow." She sat on the passenger seat, "Unpacking and work can wait." He buckled the seat belt for her. "So let's just have fun for now."

'Maybe this is a good time to take a break.' She smiled, touched because he took her words to heart.

...

They've arrived. "An amusement park?" She asked. He didn't say anything and just smiled as he handed her a map of the whole place and put something up her head.

"Don't take it off." He said as he put something up his head too. 'A headband' It was a headband with wolf ears on it. Hers had bunny ears. "Your the prey, and I'm the predator!" He smiled, poking her face.

"I think you've got it all mixed up mister." She said as she pushed hi hand away and pinched his cheeks. "Ow!"

"Should we go ride the ferris wheel?" Haru suggested. "What? How boring! We should go ride that!" She pointed at the...

"...the rollercoaster?" He asked as he gulped in nervousness. "I don't think that's a good idea, I have a--"

"Come on! Let's go, you wimp!" She pulled him into the queue. "Ame, I have a--" The line was going fast!

"Fear of rollercoasters? Don't worry, you can always hug me tightly if you're scared!" She said as they entered the ride. "No! It's just, I have--" The ride has already started.

"What?! I can't hear you over the screams!" Haru closed his eyes as he held on tight. Ame held his hand, he was surprised and looked at her, she was smiling.

'Everything's gonna be alright Haru. It's gonna be alright.' He said to himself as he closed his eyes and held her hand tight.

"Are you really that scared?!" Ame asked amidst the screams, noticing that he had tightened his grip on her hand. "Don't worry! Let's just enjoy the ride! Woooooh!" Hearing her enjoying herself, was more than enough to calm Haru down.
